I'm so glad I know not only a welder but also a guy who has a 3D printer 😂 This was absolutely amazing to watch. So many detailed shots, and so good and easy explanation 👏🏻 Not only are your video quality top notch, but your way of presenting and teaching away the stuff you do. Absolutely brilliant 🎥 Thank you once again for a really great video and with just enough entertainment for me to laugh a couple of times. I'm glad you did not go all Village People on us with that pole dance and the new Led Panel 🤣

I better leave the pole dance to others 😅 Thanks for all the positive feedback bro. If my video is somewhat entertaining and can inspire others, well then I'm happy 😊

Sweet build, and you are spot on about everyone should have a 3d printer

Thanks 😊 I bought the 3D printer mostly because my kid wanted one. Back then, I thought it was mostly a toy. Well, I could not be more wrong. Today it's one of my most valuable tools. Learning 3D modelling has also been very fun and useful in so many ways 🤩🤩🤩

Man, this is awesome! I didn't know I needed this in my shop until I saw it! Thanks a lot!

Just go for it! I am indirectly using it every day. Not that I am moving my lights or camera setup that much, but the fact that all tripods are gone and tabletops are not occupied by the stuff now hanging from the ceiling is something I appreciate every day 😊

Your simplified sliders can be even simpler: You don't need the 4 screws, just some adhesive.

You are probably right, perhaps even just a profile on top of the 3D print to keep the sheet metal from rotating would have been good enough 😊

Ah, welding. One of the last truly 'manly' things to do ;-)
    Nice work 🙂

Anti-spatter spray is super handy for us amateurs. Not sure what you have available locally but Fireball Tools did a review of quite a few US brands a couple of years ago.

Okay, did not know about that. I do see most of the videos on the Fireball Tools channel, but I must have missed that one. Thanks a lot for the tips 👍🙏

Glider/Slider - either to be honest!
Gliding is more effortless and continuous, think ice skaters on ice, and is usually a more elegant motion.
Sliding usually involves more friction and is more of a short distance movement.
When you tested them on the bench I would have called them gliders as they whizzed down from one initial push, but once on the ceiling there seemed to be more resistance, so now they're sliders 😂
And yes, you can slide the gliders! 🤣
(in fact it sounds nicer than sliding a slider)
    Isn't English fun?
Very nice build, one suggestion, get some cheap photography arco/swiss quick release mounts onto the Glider/Sliders, that way you can disconnect things without having to spin them round on a thread if you want to change the order of the items.

Thanks a lot for the clarification, but now I'm even more confused 😅😂 Adding a quick release system was a good suggestion 👍 I have already switched around the lights a couple of times, unscrewing the rods is not that easy when stuff is attached to them.

Where it is applicable, you might want to try "plug welding". For example in the ceiling brackets, where you welded two short welds, one on each side of a "leg", if you had first drilled a hole in the leg between those two welds, then you could just weld in the hole and grind it flush and it would completely disappear. It would also prevent as much weld spatter as the welds you did on the legs. The home made track system is brilliant!

You are absolutely right. I have done it many times, makes a much better result. Somehow I just did not think about it this time 🥴

Do you have another channel? I dont think ive seen any videos in this room. Or do you use for some other work?

Hi, no I have no other channel. I have not recorded much from my inhouse office/hobby room, just short recording sessions here and there in some of my videos. I am however planning more videos from this space now that my room is more functional 😊
