    Thank you very much for the tips! I am trying to get my courage up to sell my breakables that I no longer want. And I need packing peanuts. Again, thank you.

    Thank you for sharing, Amy. For glassware that's already in a box divided for # of pieces (i.e., 4 wine glasses, 6-pack, etc.), do you wrap each glass still, then place back in their box?
    When I'm shipping larger pottery or even glassware like vases, I have collected styrofoam coolers and boxes they come in from FB BST groups, and ship in those. I've also seen videos of people that use spray foam insulation, but haven't tried that.

      Hi! I do still wrap it. I’m not positive it’s necessary but I’ve seen how rough the shipping companies can be on packages so I still bubble wrap it.

      @@thriftadventure OK, I think I'll go do that ahead of anyone purchasing. TU

    I watched your ship with me video. You packaged jewelry. What type of container were you putting the jewelry in? It looked like small Tupperware.i enjoy watching your content.

      Hi! They are little Tupperware type boxes. I get them at the dollar store. They come in packs of 10 and are usually on end caps on the Tupperware aisle. Thanks!

      Lots and lots of bubble wrap, make sure it does not move around in the box. You’ll be good. 😊

    I finally broke down and bought some breakable, but now I don't know what box to use for them. What size boxes would you use to ship a 12 inch glass torte platter or a 15 inch pyrex visionware roasting pan? I think I should have started out with smaller items. Lol. I am enjoying your videos and appreciate all of the information that you share. Thanks for the frugal tips also. BTW, your hair is gorgeous.

      Hi! You want to have 3 inches between the edge of your item and the inside of the box. So for a 15” item, you’ll want at least a 21” box, and for 12” you want and 18” box. I like to have multiple size boxes on hand. I’d go to Walmart or Staples and look at what options they have. Hope this helps! 😊

    How do you decide shipping costs? Do you add estimated costs of shipping to your posts on Chairish. I understand you can have UPS ship for you, but how do you know how much to charge for shipping? I haven't made the move to Chairish yet due to the fear of shipping mistakes. 🥺

    • @thriftadventure
      @thriftadventure  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, Poshmark and Chairish both handle the shipping costs and labels. On Chairish you can choose to take handle your own shipping label or have them handle it. If they handle the label, you don't have to weigh or measure the box. I recommend reading the Chairish sellers guide it tells all about it, I will make sure it is linked in the description box of this video. Thanks!

      I prefer to ship my breakable with UPS. They seem to be more careful with packages.

    Hi Amy, I have 28” gemstone globe on a stand that I want the sell but I can’t figure out how to safely ship it. It doesnt come off of the stand. Ideas? Thanks Virginia

    • @thriftadventure
      @thriftadventure  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! I’d recommend checking comps online to see if it’s worth the effort to ship, if not you could try to sell it on FB marketplace for local pickup. If it’s worth a decent amount, I’d look for a box on Amazon or locally. You’d want to get one that is at least 34” to accommodate lots of packaging materials. (Make sure to get a double walled or heavy duty type box). I’d triple wrap in large bubble wrap, and then pack very tightly with peanuts.

    Wow I’m going to see if I can ask someone for their peanuts
