    I'd brown the sausages a bit more! I don't put baked beans in my airfryer. I would either microwave it or use the stove top! I love your videos though.

    Subbed. I actually did sausage and chips in the air fryer last night. However, i used frozen chips and fresh sausages. Did some beans in the microwave. Thought to myself, if 1 is done I'll seperate them. Turns out they cooked really well together.
    Having watched your video tho, i really want to try doin my own chips 👍
    Great video, and thanks for the suggested cooking times and temp.

    I cook my chips using Steam Airfry in my Ninja 15-1 and to me it’s a game changer as the inside s soft and fluffy and the outside brown and crispy.

      Richmond sausages are the worst sausages to buy. They are made up of all the scraps and have virtually no meat in them.. it's all the other stuff that they add to fill them out. Disgusting and tasteless.

    Question when would you put the beans in?

  • @WizardOfTheKremlin
    @WizardOfTheKremlin 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hey Samantha I've a question. I have some left over sausage meat, I also have one of those pie makers...you can see where this is going lol. Anyhoo...My question is, do I cook the sausage meat first and then put it into the pie maker? or can I just bung it in? Also I'd love some ideas to flavor the sausage meat...herbs or spices...I've lots but am terrible at pairing flavors. Actually maybe you could do a lil video or article about which herbs and spices work well together and go with different foods. That would be great. Thanks again, your videos a fantastic and your my #1 go to for all things Air Fryer related :)

    • @Recipethis
      @Recipethis  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks bee I really appreciate your kind words. Firstly, yes you most certainly can use the sausage meat raw in the pie maker as it is really quick cooking. The simple one for sausage meat is salt, pepper, sage, and a little mixed herbs plus some dried onion. But another idea is thyme and parsley or basil oregano and thyme. Maybe start by buying some mixed herbs or bouquet garni as they are already mixed and make a fantastic base for a lot of recipes. And of course salt and pepper and dried garlic. I hope that helps.

    In your previous video for cooking sausages you cooked them for 8 minutes at 180, turned them and did another 8 minutes.
    In this video you have done only 8 minutes with 2 minutes extra for browning. That seems quite a difference, am I missing something?

    • @Recipethis
      @Recipethis  ปีที่แล้ว

      They were different sausages depending on sausages you can do 8 mins to 16 depending on what they are, air fryer used and if preheated.

    What sort of spray do you use? I've veen told to stay away from them because they can damage the nonstick. Any ideas?

    • @Recipethis
      @Recipethis  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You need to stay away from Pam or fry light as those damage air fryers but an empty spray bottle filled with extra virgin olive oil is perfect and what we use.

    Will definitely try this out, but aren't the potatoes suposed to be blanched before air-frying? The theory is, that blanching makes them soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. But, if that step can be avoided, then it is OK by me.

    • @Recipethis
      @Recipethis  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You never ever blanch before air frying. It’s all about different cook times and temps to get them spot on. Plus blanching removes a love of the flavour from potatoes. Just think you wouldn’t blanch before deep frying well the same applies to the air fryer.

I would go with 15 minutes first at 160c, re spray with evoo and then do 5 more minutes at 200c and then check to see if they need a little longer.
