Just got this bad boy yesterday and he is by far my favorite. This has been a fun line to get and I can't wait to see what they do next. PLEASE DO A NES BATMAN.
I didn't mind the game, VERY Japanese in design though, probably as they were "influenced" by the arcade game "The Genji and Heike Clans" Namco arcade game. But it'll be interesting where they can go from here. What other '80s licenses does NECA have for figures?
They've got Gremlins and Aliens. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. So I can only guess that one of those two will be one of the next to get the NES design treatment.
Alexander Frew Well, Germlins 2 would be the next most likely. There's an Alien 3 NES game, but it came out late in it's life, so not many people bothered with it.
They have so many. Gremlins, Rambo, Terminator, Alien. We could easily get any of thos ein this line. And I know they have MANY more of these planned. :-)
whats that at the end of your review dan?? did you just gave us some easter eggs of the next couple of figures from the nes toy line from Neca??? I just hope they do the blue Batman nes from the 89 movie
Can't wait till the Alien 3,Gremlins,and the Predator 2 versions hopefully they do more I love these 8 bit figures. These collectible are the only reason why I know what a Nes is
Nice review! You have just convinced me to start collecting this line of figures. These look "FANTASTIC"! Love the sculpt and paint app's and the nostalgic look of the packaging. Now to go on the hunt lol. Thx for sharing, peace.
They need to make the Pink/Purple/White one, The Green/White one, and that one that looks like an actual camo warrior (Green/Brown). THOSE would be fuckin' slick
I got mine to day, I took it out of the box to display it in front of its case, I don't know since to mail made it hot or something, but its a more fragile figure then my other predator figures, any thoughts or does someone else have the same experience?
Amazing figure amazing packaging only to problem my canon brote of right away and the joints are a little loose but other than that amazing find im glad i purchesed it people if you are looking for it they have some at toysrus.
What are you talking about... I see standard figures with a repaint, not 8-bit figures. They should be visually more representative of their NES incarnations, especially Jason, Freddy and Robocop which should have been stouter, "chibi"fied and look more as if they were litterly pulled out of their respective NES games. Also should have been multipacks. You should have figures representing YOUR character in each game for Friday and Nightmare, a few classic 8-bit thugs or 8-bit ED-209 with Robocop... and NO SCHWARZENEGGER FIGURE?!? Come on!! I think your being tricked into buying repaints masquerading as new figures. And given what NECA is charging you for each I think your wasting your money on something that claims to be 8-bit figures but lack the distinctive look and design of figures truly meant to invoke the 8-bit era.
I'd have to agree, I don't think the paint job looks 8bit at all. It just looks bad. A great model, no doubting that but I also can't help but think this was just a way of getting more product out there without the hard work of making it. A shame, I was looking forward to seeing just how they'd manage to realise 8bit in a sculpt.
@@ClayMann they used the mold to make a proper predator figure in the past. The figures in this 8-bit line is just aiming to give them the odd color scheme that matches how they appeared in the game.

The whole point of these is the paint job itself.
I'd have to agree, I don't think the paint job looks 8bit at all. It just looks bad. A great model, no doubting that but I also can't help but think this was just a way of getting more product out there without the hard work of making it.
