3:00 Sorry, megatron. I'm not even angry over you right now. I bear no grudge against anyone. It's just that the world feels so, so wonderful right now. Throughout surface and iacon, I alone am the prime one."
I still love that the studio series - which is supposed to be the "most screen accurate" version of a character outside of masterpiece - is the only non-small-child-targeted figure that does nothing to try to hide the hands in vehicle mode.
This is a very interesting figure, but from what I've seen the qc isn't great. The gimmicky arms not even letting him hold the axe is a huge letdown, and while the face swap gimmick is awesome, the helmet seems to not rest properly on some copies. For how much they're charging, I can't really see myself picking this up unless it's on a steep sale. For me personally, any other commander seems more worth the money than this. If you like this, that's cool, but it just doesn't seem like it is for me.
ultimately I feel that neither this, the mainline figure, or the studio series deluxe (though it is the closest for me), manages to be the definitive toy of TFOne Optimus, and I think what we need is a voyager to get it all right
@@IAmInfinitus208 I also don't understand why they haven't brought over the Powerlinx/Thundercracker repaint of Armada Starscream. They are so damn inconsistent.
@@SourRobo8364for Thundercracker I can only assume it’s because they want to release themselves at a later point, as it’s just a repaint. Unlike the Lio Convoy remold.
I believe Hasbro does import this for online/specialty retailers and Pulse. They just don't sell it within their own lines at brick and mortar retailers.
It’s not just the grey on the studio series it’s the red and blue too it’s all just dull, I just got mine and it’s a good figure but the colours and the battle mask aren’t it, I hope baiwei make a ko with more accurate colours with a better axe too
One thing to note, the reason why your two grey panels won't plug into the cab is because the back of the cab isn't straight, push the back a bit more and they'll always plug in without trouble. 2nd, you can unplug the torso for a bit to give it a little ab crunch, the backpack will not have the best connection but it works for certain poses. I wish this thing had a better pivot, because that's the biggest gripe I have against this figure.
I've had my own Brave Commander Optimus for a couple of weeks now, and not once have I had any problems with the shoulders and the axe. They could support the axe just fine. I also can more easily cluse up the gap in the shoulder mechanism and have it stay put. Maybe I'm just lucky... but maybe Takara managed to fix the shoulder issues in production?
Sadly I have to wait until the film is available through other means because trying to plan a movie watch with my friend is difficult since he is also into Transformers but this toy looks amazing. The robot mode screams Optimus, the articulation is solid except for the axe and the vehicle mode, so compact and awesome. Definitely would buy if I was back into toys like when I was younger!
He's great but I have to agree. Would love to see Megatron at this size to go with him. Also, I really like how he scales with Prime Changers Bumblebee. It's not exactly accurate, but it's good
Even living in Japan, the price was too expensive, considering the lack of metallic silver paint, etc. I noticed these were shelf-warning at a Toys R Us in Tokyo (like most of the TF One line). I'll probably pick this up if there's a KO version though.
I actually like the way he looks as a toy more than in the film. I kind of hated how wide and lanky the designs were, even in rotb Optimus' flat proportions make him look so much less powerful
I really don't like how they decided to make almost the entire cab fold onto his back. Makes the torso look tiny, for no good reason, since half the front of the cab is already on his chest. It really ruins the whole thing for me by making it look proportionally odd AND overengineered.
I was totally on board with this figure...right until I saw that backpack open up into a truck shell that folds over the robot chest. I really hate when fake parts overlap like that. It just makes the engineering needlessly compkex, not to mention here it's very obviously the reason the robot chest is too narrow.
This is cool but, not worth the 80-90 bucks imo. For $30 I like the Walmart ultimate energon version better. I love that 2000s classic leader size presence.
Okay, I kid you not, in my location the film TF one has been pulled out of theater. I know this because I work at a movie theater and have seen this film three times
@@TheEternal-zr5op I even watched it in the first showing of my state because i had a flight the same day. And don't worry, i got to watch the movie 5 times and a 6th one on the US after it got pulled from theaters here

I still love gimmicks at 43. I appreciate the cost going into the mold to be poseable. But man, i just loved the gimmicks. Especially armada.
Plastic prices aren’t what they used to be, along with to account for inflation Hasbro just kept shrinking figures instead of raising prices (usually). Expecting gimmicks isn’t really logical, plus, there are still gimmicks, they are just play patterns now instead of things built into the toy.
Sadly I missed out, had to cancel my Pre-Order literally as they wanted to take payment. Least on Hasbro Pulse, I'll check later on BBTS or other places just in case when I have the extra cash cause I just got Swoop, Agent Knight, and now SS 86 Prime.
Ngl, I'm kind of on the fence. I felt like Primal from last year was kind of dissapointing, not really having much aside from a few gimmicks. If this figure has more than that, I'll probably consider it.
Is there a way you can tighten that shoulder joint with the pin? I genuinely love this overall all but that week shoulder is a deal breaker to because I want to play with that thing
