Hi, If you click and drag the blue line to another place, it will not transfer that other place to your phone. It will only transfer what you have typed in the destination column on the left of your screen. In the video, when "Avoid Highways" was clicked on, the route changed back to the planned route with the typed in destinations. The only way to get a planned route to your phone is to type in all the destinations or roads you wish to travel. Unfortunately there are only 10 spaces.
I just watched this video... excellent instructions but I have a question. Once I've created my google map road trip and saved it... how do I engage with it, using on my cell as a GPS if you will, to follow my previously created road trip?
very informative , is there a way to "chose" a different road than google choses to travel. Lets say it picks Rt 95, but you know that rt 287 is less crowded or more scenic...how to you change that? thanks, glenn

Thank you ! Great video !! I am building a product to save and re access these trips and stops again and you can share with others as well. This means others Dont have to spend the same time and start from scratch. My portal will collect the trip details from google , apple , Waze and others can see how ppl are travelling from A to B and what stops they take along the way. Please can you share what you think about this idea 💡? Will this have traction ? Anyone else do this today ?

HI there.. is there a way to plan a trip with a stop by using mileage? I would like to drive 250-275 miles a day, before final destination. So, I would start at point a.. stop about 250 miles, add that stop, then go again
The only way I have found it so roughly enter your whole trip, then move your cursor along the blue line and it shows you the milage. When you get to 200-250 miles, look for a place to stay.
I have a question for when using Google maps on the app. I've had it happen a few times when using it while driving in areas I've never been.... while driving, is there a way to drop a pin marker on the route so that once I stop, I can look up points of interest? Instead, I've had to pull over and write down what I want to look up later. If that makes sense

This is helpful, however I needed something that can optimize all of my routes at once. Found one that does it within excel and does the job with just a click of a button, but it's not free though. 😂

I'm having the same problem and there isn't any way, so I have asked Google if they are going to add more destination spaces.

you have to modify the stops to doit it wont send the adjusted route just the original one

How do you input more than 10 way points? g map only accepts 10

How do you save it for future use.
1. copy and paste the link onto a word document. 2. email the link to yourself. 3. send it to your phone and it will stay in your notifications.
