Oh. my. god. I really can not express how much I love this and how much I'm thankful for this. Since the time I found out about your channel, I imagined what Hearthome would sound like as a bossa nova/samba, but I wouldn't have imagined it would sound this good. The flute and the guitar add so much to it, it's wonderful. I remember suggesting this song to you quite a few times in the past 4 years or so (and I'm sorry if I annoyed you because of that), but that's because I always trusted that you would make something beautiful out of this. I knew no one else would do such a cover in such a brilliant way like you would. I grew up with Pokémon Diamond. This game represents so much to me. It represents growing up, overcoming challenges, not giving up. It also taught me to enjoy the journey, even if it feels too slow at times. But most importantly, this game was one of the reasons I got into jazz so early on. Pokémon Diamond always felt kind of lonely to me. The routes were long, the caves were kind of oppressing, I always felt I was walking alone. But none of that felt bad. The ambients and the soundtrack more than made up for that. And I enjoyed exploring on my own. This game was my "me-time" while growing up. This cover right here pretty much summarizes my childhood. It's everything I love in music form. It's something I'll listen to until the very last day of my life. I waited 4 years or so to listen to this, and it was worth the wait. Thank you, Carlos. Keep doing what you're doing and I'll support you until the very end.
Orlanswf, you have expressed the inexpresable: the feelings of anyone who grew up with Gen 4. Sinnoh really did feel like a "solo" journey in comparison to its predecessors and this cover really makes me remember how heartwarming Hearthome city was, alongside the rest of the game back in the day. While there's definitely a greater sense of loneliness throughout Sinnoh than previous titles, it also makes those places with more liveliness feel even more special. Hearthome City might just be the epitome of a feel-good place (and theme) in Pokemon and this Bossa Nova cover really emphasizes that. Also, *Super Smash Bros. Ultimate comes out in 6 days.*

I’m not even all that keen on jazz, but I’m absolutely weak for bossa nova. I blame Animal Crossing (especially the movie) for introducing me to the genre.

"Tall and tan and young and lovely, the girl from Hearthome City goes walking." Excellent job on this cover once again Carlos; the flute was a great choice and I live for those little trills you do. You're also so good at showing restraint in your compositions, unlike me lol. I would just about die if you did anything inspired by Gino Vanelli's 'brother to brother' album (plus I could steal some ideas for my own composition).
This cover is so good because it stays true to the original song extremely well, with masterful instrumentation, and yet it adds just enough originality to keep it fresh. I could listen to this all day!
The entire Sinnoh region just had a bossa vibe to me as a kid. Hearthome City's theme, this cover especially, feels like the culmination of that feeling. Absolutely superb on too many levels to count.
A handful of times I will come to watch one of your videos only to have the same wave of impression and emotion as when I first discovered your music. You only keep getting better dude, never stop
As a fairly new musician you are my number one inspiration for what I want to do. Thank you so much for doing what you do, it has done so much for me and for others as well. Keep doing what you are doing, because it is amazing.
Your music just keeps getting better! You've inspired me to become a musician just like you! I can't wait to make good groves just like you! Keep jamming mate!
After ten years, I’ve just paid for a four month rental to get started with tenor sax again, with the goal of getting into a winds ensemble this November, and honestly it’s all because of you Carlos. Your channel is my morning, afternoon, and night music.
This is just completely perfect! This is actually my all time favourite city theme and I can’t imagine a more beautiful rendition and arrangement! Thank you so much 😊❤️
One of the things I love in this channel is the instruments you take the time and learn (or invite other musicians, like in this case, Xnarky.) and when you added segments that aren’t in the original to give it a more jazzy feel to it. It might not be November anymore, but I’m very thankful for this video. You need a well deserved Christmas break after this. Don’t burn yourself out :)

This is such a cool cover! Hearthrome City has probably one of the more iconic city themes from the 4th generation. It's one of my favorite places to go back to whenever I replay Platinum. I loved the way you used the flute in this cover as well! I play the flute myself so it's really cool to see it used more often (I'm nowhere near an expert on the flute though!). why did I read this in Kevin Malone’s voice from the office?
Bossa nova = grass type

Rock/funk = fire
