Sean seems like an awesome guy. You can clearly tell that he loves making games, and that he's not doing it simply for the money. I think you guys shouldn't worry bout this game not meeting the expectations.
Yeah...cause a game not meeting the expectations of the hype machine isn't something that happens all the time.

That's always super obvious after watching a few videos of him talking about the game he'll eventually be trying to sell you. Patron Saint Sean, he shall hence forth be known. Well Played Every time something looks cool or exciting there always has to be some cynical douche to come in to rain on peoples parade. What happened did someone hurt you and now you can't get excited about anything. If these guys can deliver on what they have shown then sign me up as a No Mans Sky fanboy.
Everyone wants money out of what game they create no matter if it's a small company or a big company or if the mind behind the game is some Saint or just someone that loves games. No one wants to create something that will be worthless now do they?
BUT, sometimes there are rare cases when money comes second and creating an awesome, unique game that people are going to like and play comes first. Is this one of those rare cases? We'll have to wait and see, hopefully it is...
Why do people judge things before they even experience them?Or ATLEAST see others experience them...
I love how incredibly humble these guys are, despite their monstrous ambitions. As an aspiring game designer, this is truly inspirational.

Oh boy this game has so much weight on its shoulders. I really applauded these devs for their ambition. To think their game seems way more interesting then the big budget Triple A titles. May the best of luck come to these fellows. Such humble d guys that have made a great future for themselves. Best of luck to you all

You've gotta love Sean Murray - he's like a walking picture of why I loved games back then in Amiga times, when companies were far smaller (thus vision driven) and far less income focused/close minded. I'm so happy that I lived to see the impact indies had on my beloved (but depressingly stagnant and overblown IMHO) industry. Can't wait for the game!
This is why i love indie games. These guys just made something so good press didn't think it was real. And in the interview you can just tell they're just normal guys, i love it. My best wishes to the team i want no mans sky to be a top hitter for 2014 :-)

I'm more excited for this game than I am for Destiny and I was SUPER fucking excited for Destiny. This game looks amazing and I hope they can pull it off.
I really love the amount of passion and genuine humanity of the studio and the game, the entire story is inspiring and the game is mind blowing, this is the first time that, not only do i want the game, i feel some sort of... Thing that I really want these guys to do well. This feels real and heartfelt, not cold and corporate

I love exploration and getting immersed in game worlds, space, discovery and such so I'm very excited for NMS.
These guys are talented, smart, skilled, passionate, imaginative, good hearted people.
You almost always see some of Nintendo's items in these developer videos. a Mario picture, a Zelda figurine, Donkey Kong t-shirt, etc... It's cool to see how Nintendo has helped influence this generation of developers.

The first VGX trailer was the best promo video ive ever seen. It has huge impact. If they used something very traditional I think it would have gotten a very meh reaction but the music and the text they used just adds so much. I think they knocked it out of the park.

How i love the passion these guys have..i dont even care if its a bad game at the end of it all, these guys managed to make this game feel like a reality...and remained humble and passionate while doing this and for that reason alone i respect them.
What am acing story of a small but epic journey to make something so creative and imaginative. Can't wait to support this game. Will definitely get it

Misleading title; this is the story of the development, not the game. I loved the video but hoped I got to hear about any narrative/lore elements of the game.

This game is by far has my most hype, what I'd love to see is them exploring natural selection on planets eg. A rocky planet having animals camouflaged as rocks or having rocky spikes on there back, it would really add a lot of realism.

Collecting and planting seeds actually sounds like a great concept, but there would have to be a way for it not to be totally abused.. Maybe in a potential sequel?
Finding a barren planet with the correct atmosphere to said plant, plant some seeds, then maybe revisit one day to find a little oasis. Neat.
Guys make sure this game will be fucking big... Just Make it something we will remember as one of the best... Just do good
