I literally found out from the year 2024 at the title of this video. My heart can't take it. I know she was old but she was one like Lansbury and Glynis and Channing that seemed to live on forever. A favorite of mine

Well it hurts, and you and your channel are one of the first things I thought about. She was one of the truly greatest gifts that was ever given to a Broadway stage and while that beautiful light was put out today, the memory of those gritty, fantastic and ground breaking performances will live on forever…

For someone who literally didn't have singing in their arsenal before that fateful audition where she didn't even plan to audition, she was an INCREDIBLE singer. And actress as well. In addition of course to the phenomenal dancing. She was everything

Im so sad... Im struggling to write this comment I love Chita I have this choreography burned into my head from watching that spiderwoman bootleg over and over again and dancing along to it, my aunt had my cousin make me a cup that has most of my favorite shows playbills on it 90% of it is Chita and I just realized my pfp is of Chita performing lucretia macevil, my mom had gotten me her memoir for christmas I was reading it not too long ago, even though I never met her I feel like a lost a friend Thank You Chita for everything for getting me through alot. And thank you Aurora for all your clips of her and other performers
I saw this tour in Dallas back in the day. Talked to Chita at the stage door and took a picture with her. Years later I saw her in Nine on Broadway and gave her a copy of the picture! RIP
Such a loss but she gave us such wonderful memories with her gifts. Saw Spiderwoman in in London....I even saw her in Bring Back Birdie. Just look at her in this number from Spiderwoman!
May this woman's talent live forever inspiring new generations of performers. There will never be another Chita, though 😢
Chita is now dancing in the stars, I couldn't watch this straightaway due to shock, she will never be forgotten and Broadway will never be the same.

If u go and play ANYONE ELSE dancing "where you are" who did Spider woman, you'll notice how incredible Chita was, in comparison. The sharpness, the toughness, she was incredible. Even the flop "Merlin" u can see the genius.

My company does some transportation for Rob Marshall and i literally was thinking of Chita the other day having rememered she said Rob was the dance captain on "Rink" where she met him and then he ended up 10 years later being her choreographer in Spider Woman. Now...😢 This news
