You're correct that his face isn't solid opaque white; you can still see Keaton's skin texture through the makeup. And adding a grayish tinge was smart as well. The Beetlejuice look isn't a bright white clown-face and bright green hair; that would look more like the Joker.
That’s my favourite part, trying to make them as accurate as I can without breaking the bank! When you have the basic makeup products they last you forever, so you only ever need the accessories to bring the look together. I usually spend under £10 on a wig, (plus the bald cap if I’m using one) and then usually a cheap top to create the costume. This one was £16 plus £9 for the wig, and then £4 on the moss!
So... I've got a question. I have a Beetlejuice wig that I've made, which is hair attached to a latex bald cap. So... if I want to use it over and over again, should I just try to blend the edge to my face each time? Or remove the used bald cap portion, and make a new bald cap each time? And reattach the wig each time? I'm just worried if I try to blend the edge to my skin after a couple uses then the edge is going to get thicker with latex and harder to blend.
Absolutely terrific! I played the character at Knott’s Scary Farm back in ‘90, & wanted to do the makeup, myself. They insisted on having the head of their makeup dept do it. He insisted on using my own longish hair, instead of the bald cap, experimenting nightly with various ways to recede my hairline, from soap & Streaks & Tips, to spirit gum/tissue & greasepaint. Within a year, my hairline actually began to recede, & is almost completely bald on top of my head! (Though I still enjoy the long hair, where it’s all left.) Absolutely wishing that, if I couldn’t do it myself, YOU had been my makeup artist! Again, a really great job here! (BTW… You should’ve used a more hideous model, like me! Jack is too good looking for such a character!)😁
I’m planning on being beetle juice this year lol I’m just buying a mask! I can’t pull off anything close to your talented work lol! Great video I enjoyed watching! 👍
Set aside the day if you can, if you’re new to this it’s quite the task with the wig. If it’s just the makeup and not the bald cap etc, I would say 2-3 hours. The makeup alone I could do in 90 minutes, the whole look maybe 3.5 hours but if you’re new I’d set aside the day and start early so you don’t run out of time. You’ll want breaks in between too.
Haha, yeah he is very expressive 🤣 always has been! They did drama at college so both the guys are the best to work on. Jack and I always have so much fun when we create these looks. The funniest part was us in the car afterwards, the darkness drowned out the green so he looked a bit like Albert Einstein and Doc Brown with glasses on 🤣🤣 I couldn’t stop howling with laughter!
Yes I have some questions but also I have some concerns. How long did this take to put on? Even though the video says 18 or 14 minutes? How long did it take in the process of putting the makeup on with the wig? The latex?
Oh, sorry, I’m not sure! I got it from an Epidemic Sound for Royalty Free Music - have you tried Shazaming it?? Also, thank you! I’m pleased you think it looks like the movie!
It’s just a cheapy Halloween buy, anything that’s sort of rough in texture will do! Make it a grey or white one of you can’t find green because then you can easily colour it, and just hack into it with scissors!
I enjoyed this! You really paid attention to all the small but important details. IMO the lips and teeth should be even worse, but I'm sure that's hard to achieve and uncomfortable for the model...
Do you need to do Jeepers Creepers on Jack it will be so freaking cool All over his body make him like Jeepers creepers even the wings trying to find a a animatronic wings move by itself That would be cool ❤
You can’t really go wrong with the eyes for this look 😁 but I hear you with other looks, I find it easier to work from the top down to prevent mistakes.
You are phenomenally talented! You never cease to amaze me. By far the best sfx and movie makeup artist on TH-cam
Ahh, thank you so much!!! ♥️🎃

This is the best looking Beetlejuice hair so far. Everyone seems to make it neon green for some reason.
I agree! People go crazy for the neon green hair spray. I try to make my creative looks as movie accurate as I can.
With my wig, I sprayed the green on so long ago that it’s gotten more accurate since it started fading.
The original BJ makeup artist who wasn’t used for the sequel is V Neil and she used shades of purple for the eyes and banana yellow for the skin.
Yep it definitely needs more plum about the eyes. My friend worked on the makeup in the new film which is fabulous 😊
I love your Halloween tutorials! Your talent never ceases to amaze me.
Thanks Sandy!! 🎃
@@ShonaghScott, thank YOU for sharing your gift!
This is one of the best Beetlejuice I've seen!! Brovo!!
Love your Hallowe'en tutorials every year & you're so true to the characters, no corners cut👻👏

Jack is smokin! 🔥
I love beetlejuice!!
I’ll be honest, I don’t recall ever watching it all the way through 🙊🙈 haha!!!

So much fun to watch. This will be one of my favorite classic movies
Yay!! So pleased you love it!
Yes I had to go watch the movie after this lol. Jack is a great model and you put the right touches on his face to make it amazing
This was a great makeup tutorial of beetlejuice I’m being him for Halloween and this was awesome to watch
Thank you Shonagh! This was so awesome and will be very helpful for Halloween! Take care! 😊
You’re welcome Patrick!
Omg very cool. I love this. Have you done a chucky hair and makeup video or a tiffany video, I love the chucky movies. This is amazing well done.

best Beetlejuice I've seen bar the movie. nice one
Oh yay, thanks for the kind words!!
Nice beetlejuice costume 👌 spot on best iv seen did good
Wow! Your work is phenomenal!
So kind, thanks Amanda!
If doing this myself how long should allow for the makeup process ? How much time should I give myself

Glad you enjoyed it!
How good does it look, you did a great job!!
Thanks so much 🎃
4:53 If I didn't read the title, I would have thought this was a tutorial for Rick from Rick and Morty. XD
Love it! Massive talent!
Haha, thank you!
Awesome as usual...big hugs from Germany 🥰
Thanks so much, Katrin!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 brilliant sweetie, Jack has some really good facial expressions.

that looks great
I'm thinkin of doing somethin like this for a web series I've been doing not gonna go this hard out on it but these tips do work
Great to hear!
That is just AMAZING WORK!!!!!!
Thank you so much! Glad you think so :)
I want to do this this year for Halloween will use this video makeup lady is gorgeous
Enjoy recreating it!
Excelente , lo voy a intentar.
Enjoy!!
I’m looking forward as beetlejuice for terror con
Yes I have some questions but also I have some concerns. How long did this take to put on? Even though the video says 18 or 14 minutes? How long did it take in the process of putting the makeup on with the wig? The latex?
Would an 8ml container of each color be sufficient for one or two applications or is 30ml more likely to be necessary?
Fantastic!
Glad you like it!
Amazing as always!!!
🎃🙌🏼
Absolutely love these tutorials, you are the best 🥰🥰
Ahh, thanks lovely!!! They’re fun to watch aren’t they!!!
Omg. This is amazing!! Can you please do a burned Moana look??
Awesome job!
Thanks!
Omg! You are amazing!!
Thank yoooou!
Wow! Love this! :)
Yay!! Thank you!
Amazing
Thank you!
I love this ! Will a latex bald cap work as well instead of the vinyl one ?
I don’t personally like latex as it’s thick and hard disguise the edges. Vinyl is seamless!
Picked ur video because all the rest I've seen just look too clean, u hit the nail on the head with this!
Thanks so much! I appreciate the positive feedback 🎃
I have used brand name mehron white for doing the joker. I was curious if there is a big difference between kryolan and mehron?
No, both are great!
Ok cuz I still have plenty of mehron clown white paint left. I figured I would ask before making the online purchase of the kryolan.@@ShonaghScott
What's that intro music called lol it sounds amazing
And that looks just like Beetlejuice 😮
Oh, sorry, I’m not sure! I got it from an Epidemic Sound for Royalty Free Music - have you tried Shazaming it??
Also, thank you! I’m pleased you think it looks like the movie!
That is sooooo cool!!
Thank yoooou!
Can you add updated links to products you used?
Is the wig with the bald cap a one-time-use sort of thing or can you take it off and reapply it?
In this form it’s just a onetime use.
@@ShonaghScott thank you so much!!
Damn! This gonna take me all day to do this before going on a Halloween yacht party. 😂
Haha, but you’ll be the best dressed there!!!
class, i love the movie!
Thanks! I’ll be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever watched it all the way through 🙊
Perfection!! 🙌🏼🎃👍🏻
Thank you! 🙌🏼
How long did it take you to complete look?
2 hours.
That's pretty good
Thanks!
@@ShonaghScott NP!!!
You did a fantastic job.. Your so talented
Thank yooou!!!
you are very very talented
I appreciate that, thank you.
That's really awesome 😊. Hey is that synthetic hair??
Yes it is!
love this 💚🤍🖤
Thank you!
I love beetlejuice a lot because beetlejuice came out the year i was born
1988
It’s a classic!
Best makeup I’ve seen so far for this! However, you do need a different blazer for him, since the stripes on the sleeves here are going the wrong way.
Glad you enjoyed it. I think we can let the strips slide since it’s about the makeup and not the costume 🤪
Tutorial of Dolores from beeteljuce 🙏🙏🙏🙏
i love it
Thank you!
I love it 🤩
Yay!!! 🎃
What are the products used?? I’m trying to do this
Look in the description bar, I’ve done my best to link as much as possible there.
Looks really great, very impressive indeed. 🙂
Thanks Jeff!
2:27 When he only has that little bit of hair on, he kinda reminds me of Riff Raff.
Why do I feel attracted to this beetlejuice 👀
Which product is the face cream?
Everything is listed in the description bar.
Wow, Jack looked well scary. Brilliantly done, but scary! Wouldn't like to bump into him on Halloween 🎃...
Haha, yeah it’s pretty creepy in the darkness! I had to drive home with him 🤣
Anybody find a good hair like this I had trouble finding something that looked spot on like this
It’s just a cheapy Halloween buy, anything that’s sort of rough in texture will do! Make it a grey or white one of you can’t find green because then you can easily colour it, and just hack into it with scissors!
Cool 😀
Thank you! 🎃
Where do you get the paints
Everything is listed below. They’re from Kryolan.
Wow!!!
Thank you! 🤗
You should make Jack look like the War Boy from Mad Max Fury Road... he already resembles Nicholas Hoult quite a bit
You gave me some inspiration there Katrin! We filmed it today 😝 will be up later this week, be sure to watch it!
@@ShonaghScott definitely will👍
Thank you!!! My 15 year old son..Wants to be Beetlejuice character...Now, I just need to find the outfit
Ahh, I hope he loves the makeup when you recreate it!
@@ShonaghScott He will
It really helps that this guy has pointed eyebrows.
Que es lo de los dientes alguien sabe ?
It’s called Necessary Mouth Evil.
Genial ❤
Thank you!
What kind of bald cap is this
A vinyl bald cap.
When you added the stubble he started to actually look like Keaton.
Haha, it’s great when you add small elements that transform the look!
Increíble saludos desde argentina 🇦🇷
Thank you!
Yesssssssas
🎃🎃🎃🎃
The juice is Loose
He started out looking like Riff Raff from RHPS :)
I know
Wow Make-up Halloween tutorial, u did a great job my dear. Thank you for sharing. Looks scary hehe... see you around and stay safe.
Thanks so much, pleased you enjoyed it!!!
I enjoyed this! You really paid attention to all the small but important details. IMO the lips and teeth should be even worse, but I'm sure that's hard to achieve and uncomfortable for the model...
Is it normal 2 have a crush for Jack, even after the make up? LOL
He’ll take that I’m sure! Lol!
Do you need to do Jeepers Creepers on Jack it will be so freaking cool
All over his body make him like Jeepers creepers even the wings trying to find a a animatronic wings move by itself
That would be cool ❤
That moment when you realize Heath ledger. Based his joker off of Beetlejuice.
Haha, have you seen my Heath Ledger Joker on this model? It’s another great but I totally see what you’re saying here.
Riff Raff Style
😮😮😮😮😮
I'm surprised he not a actor
I would have done the eyes first. Imagine doing the eyes and fuckinng up and have to redo the face
You can’t really go wrong with the eyes for this look 😁 but I hear you with other looks, I find it easier to work from the top down to prevent mistakes.
