At first, I thought I would prefer the villain Joker story since that is basically the Joker we all know, but I loved this Vigilante Joker story. It really hit me in the feels especially near the end when Joker and Bruce were having that small personal conversation together after the fight and even at the very end when you see Joker looking at his pictures of Batman/Bruce in Arkham and also how happy he got when Bruce came to visit him. Which to me proves, that Bruce still hasn't given up on John and still considers him a friend even after everything that happened between them.
Xhar T Sorry, but it's just your wild theory... it only happens if you stay friends with John in Vigilante ending. It's the true Bruce visiting John. Like a FRIEND would do.
That joker battle was REALLY damn good imo. It really showed him not feeling pain, and only giving up when he literally couldn't fight anymore. The voice acting was spot on near joker's last words.
He was mutated since his incident with Ace Chemicals in past. Joker has pain immunity and enhanced strength, which grows each time he is active. That was a great showdown. I was overwhelmed by effort from this.
it's been brought up a number of times before in the comics though and by the fans: "couldn't Bruce Wayne do more good by donating millions/sharing his tech instead of being batman?" , Of course if that were the case we wouldn't have a comic anymore
"Alfred is making up weak excuses because the reality is he's too weak to be able to handle that his child figure might come to the bloody end" UMMMMM DUH. Obviously Alfred wants to protect the boy he raised as his own, not to be cliche but you would understand if you were a parent.
Well yeah, he's respecting Bruce's wishes, but he can't be a part of it anymore. He's still being a good parent. He loves Bruce all the same, he just can't stomach what he feels is his fault anymore.

I'm thinking that THIS was the ending that Telltale wanted all along, since it wraps up the Waller plot thread better. However, in the end, they realized a lot of their audience would only like Joker as a through-and-through villain like he has been typically portrayed. While this ending is technically simpler, it flows better. The other ending, while very good, seems a bit repetitive and preachy (as in, a lot of plot devices are not shown, but told).
The villain path also seems a bit contrived. Joker just happens to amass an army of goons that are willing to massacre an entire city, and was also able to plant over a hundred bombs across Gotham without anyone noticing for weeks? It feels a bit far fetched. The stakes are much lower in the vigilante path, but it feels a lot more personal since Bruce is trying to prevent someone he see's as a friend from completely falling in to the abyss, and thematically I think it fits with the rest of the season better.
Not really, gothams allways had a ready supply of socipathic assholes rich, crazy, criminal or poor who get off on causing pain and death to a city they blame for their own shortcomings. This has definitely put me in my feelings from the beginning and I'm still in my feelings. The joker and Batman being together side by side is what I've always wanted to see. Kind of like the end of "The Killing Joke" when they're laughing together and not fighting. This is what I needed.
That is a hell of an ending. It's like what the psychiatrist Carl Jung said "that the superabundance of any force inevitably produces its opposite". By being so extreme in the measures he took to take down criminals batman created villains that were as extreme as him in the opposite spectrum.
I really hope John Doe gets the professional help and rehabilitation he needs, but I also hope that Bruce Wayne does not get corrupted by John Doe. If Joker does get cured, then too much of Joker will be taken away from what makes Joker what he is.
If he gets cured, then maybe they can go the story route like they did in the comics (where Joker becomes good and goes after Batman and the insurance companies through the courts and politics).
Honestly, I think this ending is way more interesting than the Villain Joker one, mostly because this? This is new. We've seen villain Joker with Harley Quinn before a million times, but Vigilante Joker is kinda new and it's refreshing to watch. I love the entire bromance between him and Bruce through this series x'D
Already played the episode. I gotta admit if there was a way to make John doe a real vigilante to help Batman with crime and don't kill will be the best
There's only so much you can expect from a violent schizophrenic psychopath. John wanted to be a hero like Batman, but in the end he just couldn't do it, and it broke him.
this counterpart of him doesn't look like he is violent, schizophrenic or psychopath to begin with. And if Bruce helps him as his only friend; he can stay good. We would all be driven bad without at least a friend.
Okay based on the first 10 minutes of this episode this is what I can wholeheartedly conclude: Joker is a cod-dam amazing sidekick for any evil Batman. After 15 minutes: alright, he is a good sidekick and would definitely be a good replacement should the main batfamily go out of commission temporarily. After 26 minutes: I now want a universe where joker and a few of the other villains of batman are his allies and they together they fight off Batman's current allies, or even the justice league. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! why did i curse myself with this idea!!?!?!?!? no one will ever make it :( ... i shouldn't have wrote that and i don't know how to delete that... please ignore the last few lines. :(
Joker in this game is redeemable, his last laugh was genuinely happy and he looks more sane while feeling guilty for his violent choices, i wish there’s more in this game😁
This really shows the joker in a different way he’s not crazy like evil crazy he’s metal like an actual patient from an asylum he can’t control his feelings Also nice way to portray the joker
IT'S JOKERRRR!!!!!! honestly, letting him go the way of crime is the best, story-wise, and Telltales should keep doing this Batman series. And Anthony Ingruber, if you're reading this, thank you, keep being Joker, you made my day!
Honestly I believe this was more realistic and better ending then "Villain" version. Waller and Batman cannot co-exist just like in "Villain Route" it's not very real since we all know from the comics/Movies that Waller is selfish and always had hidden agendas. She manipulated joker and incited him despite knowing he's unstable and would take it personal! For this universe, since the beginning it's always been different from all the batman knowledge we know. So this ending is a lot more real... But at the same time it confuses me. As a person who never played the game or understand the gameplay. Why can't Tiffany be team-batman and Catwoman be with him even if you make your "Choices" to be kind to Joker? That's pretty f*cked up and unfair. So he can't have it all in one? It's also messed up how Alfred said he created joker. In the villain route, it would had make sense. But here it's the Joker fault clearly. If only Batman had better communication with Joker it wouldn't have come like this. But I'm glad it ended with them still as friends. The ending made me smile and gave me hope for their relationship!
Hats off to Telltale for pulling off two totally different stories for a season finale of a game. This is the story I prefer, but the villain version is amazing as well! Great job!
That batman-like entry from John to help Batman in the beginning was golden! I love this series, its so different from the original story, but stays just in the comfort spot.
when I played this, i got chills when he yelled "IT'S...JOKER!"-it actually scared me. and then seeing him laugh like that made me tear up, and I cried so hard at the ending. it really felt like i had betrayed him. I'll definitely miss john.
TheReluctantTH-camr btw wanna ask something M8? Who was the man at the end of this episode I mean was that hush or was it bruce wayne. Cause I am confused??
TheReluctantTH-camr your not right imo. Vigilante breaks the vision of joker for me. Im a fan of ledger and killing joke joker so a vigilante kills everything i like in the character imo.
Steven Isaac Martin I don't think it's possible as without Alfred batman wouldn't have any help, and Tiffany is gone. If Alfred stays, Bruce can't become Batman. So there's no way to stop the criminals
Sir_sipeington lol wtf what are u talking about bruce can be batman without Alfred in the comics Alfred did go away for some time but that dind't stop bruce from being batman so it is perfectly possible for a season 3
Sir_Snipeington dude do u even play telltale games sometimes the choices don't matter i'm pretty sure that in season 3 bruce will be batman despite what the player chooses because of the villan that we will have in season 3
I really like how they made this Joker, it's different, unpredictable, and really interesting to watch his evolution as a character, and interaction with Bats, despite the fact that he is a psycho and kills people(but i don't think someone actually cared about dead agents)

S1 Realm Of Shadows Batman The Enemy Within is overall more better than Batman The Telltell Series and is also better made for having better graphics more features and a better experienced team, S1 had a heroic theme and S2 had a darker theme, The Telltale Series did a better job with Batman and Bruce's character by consistently having equal time for both and The Enemy Within did a better job at devoloping and compelling us too Batman and Bruce's character, S1 has a more simple and focused story, and S2 has a more Complex and a cohesive story, and Batman The Enemy Within fits the Batman Lore better than Batman The Telltale Series and pushes the boundaries further.
God I’m glad I went down this route for so many reasons one it leads to less death two seeing Joker trying to become a hero is actually pretty interesting
This ending actually really upset me. I COMPLETELY supported the Joker in every situation I could even when I knew it was wrong because I thought if I could give him someone to depend on and someone that would always be there for him no matter how bad he got that somehow I could save him. I REALLY wanted him to stay the child-like, charming, and full of life person who seemed to honestly care about his friends, he even seemed to care about the Riddler's death even though he admitted to hating him (although that might just be because he got so pissed at being blamed for his murder.) The fight between the Joker and Batman had to be the most heart wrenching thing in the game that I had to do.. I just kept hoping he would remember our friendship and snap out of it but he just kept escalating the fight.. At that point I came to realize that all this time I spent trying to be his friend was just delaying the inevitable and I might as well have just cut ties on the bridge and let him go with Harley and just let him become what he really is instead of dragging it out. I love that Bruce went to arkam to visit the Joker even after the shit that went down and when he says "Bruce!" And looks so happy and excited to see Bruce, it's almost like he's back to the good part of himself and it gives me a little hope that he could still be saved. Oh and that Alfred thing at the end was total BS because Alfred would never shirk away his responsibilities and abandon Bruce like that.
Thanks again for the awesome videos buddy, especially for one of the best heroes in all DC. Well its official the Joker's no hero, though he did seem like he had promise.
I’m glad this game did something new with the character of joker, as well as the batman formula as a whole. The complete lack of Killing Joke references is also refreshing.
Oh my goodness. This level has never reached that high before. Riddler kills Lucius Fox, Bane's debut along with the Pact's identity, About 74% of Gotham seized control by the Agency, John becomes The Joker, And now- Tiffany's a sniper behind the death of The Riddler? Exactly how much of an scale 1 to 10 of how worst this event takes place for our point of view? And also what is your suggestions?
I like John Doe being a hero then a villain basically a vigilante and also in the vigilante side of joker YOU PUT THE BLAME IN CATWOMAN And lastly that last part is really sad
Godtdayum. That fight at the end, && john SNAPPING && killing those agency personnel was absolutely BRUTAL. kinda sad bruce didn't take the time to ACTUALLY TEACH john how to be a proper vigilante. Still. This was a great episode.
God, there were too many scenes in this route to make me cry but the one with Alfred? Gosh that nearly got me. I was crying internally, damn this game showed how hard it is to make decisions. It showed how every choice you make affects everyone differently.
This is probably better than the other path and this was awesome, he’s a total opposite from Bruce; Bane looks awesome and has his cool mask. Edit: Watched other play through, just as good.
As much as I appreciate the story; overall this always leads back to Telltale's illusion of choice in their games. Primarily here, is the illusion is that you could divert Joker from what he is within the DC universe, but sadly of course that's a path you will never fully see fleshed out in a telltale game and no matter what you do or which path you chose, he'll always become *THE JOKER* we all know him for. Nice episode though.
The Joker, at the end of this episode, is still nothing like the one from the main universe. I don't know if you've played or seen the alternative, but he is not nearly as violent and at least wants to do the right thing. Joker (vigilante) looks to the likes of Batman and Waller and sees only hypocrites, while Joker (villain) looks at everyone, except Bruce, and sees only meaningless things that might help him get revenge. What's more, many, many more people get hurt depending on your actions.
ThatGuyYouKnow Yes I get where you are coming from but the problem is that they hyped it saying two different jokers. Yes villain is way more sadistic in his ways but the vigilante still becomes that evil. However judging by the very last part at the end, maybe Bruce is going to help John come back to maybe being a normal person and maybe him being a former vigilante will help that.
L0rd_Equinox what!? Joker turns back into john!? John is dead. Only the joker. Even if they try to go with one of those comic storylines where joker is sane, they're probably not going to use it
TheJoker Joker By "John" I mean the vigilante Joker, not "innocent John" like he ever was innocent. The point being, is the part at the very end where Joker is happy to see Bruce, and not like the crazy "happy" like joker is with Batman but like a friendly happiness.
This time around the illusion of choice doesn't matter because this story was actually good. Plus there are relationships with characters that can play out in a number of different ways, not just the Joker and Batman thing. We haven't had a great story like this from telltale since the season 1 of The Walking Dead, so i'm not complaining.
At first, I thought I would prefer the villain Joker story since that is basically the Joker we all know, but I loved this Vigilante Joker story. James Wannan True. Even though at the end it was Hush, not Bruce
Xhar T who said its hush?
Lawfish66 The guy said that Bruce visited Joker at the end but it was Hush. Kind of obvious that it’s not Bruce so that was definitely Hush
Xhar T Sorry, but it's just your wild theory... it only happens if you stay friends with John in Vigilante ending. It's the true Bruce visiting John. Like a FRIEND would do.

That is a hell of an ending. It's like what the psychiatrist Carl Jung said "that the superabundance of any force inevitably produces its opposite". By being so extreme in the measures he took to take down criminals batman created villains that were as extreme as him in the opposite spectrum.
no I just took psychology for some extra credits
I really hope John Doe gets the professional help and rehabilitation he needs, but I also hope that Bruce Wayne does not get corrupted by John Doe. If Joker does get cured, then too much of Joker will be taken away from what makes Joker what he is.
If he gets cured then he will be a good person. That won't change who he is.
@OXO SAN He is.
@OXO SAN He needs to be cured and he will be ok, you thing why he in the end is in Arkham, not in jail?
If he gets cured, then maybe they can go the story route like they did in the comics (where Joker becomes good and goes after Batman and the insurance companies through the courts and politics).
1:20:54 has to be one of the funniest decision I've seen from you.
Also look at Jim being all smug. Gotta love the guy
John wanted to be a hero like Batman, but in the end he just couldn't do it, and it broke him.
that would be boring writing tho. there would be no conflict.
It wouldn't be boring for people like me who only care about him being safe and happy XD
-alsowantingtokidnaphimintheprocess-
We are somewhat getting one in the white knight comics
this counterpart of him doesn't look like he is violent, schizophrenic or psychopath to begin with. And if Bruce helps him as his only friend; he can stay good. We would all be driven bad without at least a friend.
1:32:28 for those who might have missed it. My favorite part of this. I like to think these visits happen regularly.
Boy.......that escalated quickly
Like really. John killed a guy.
Ryan Prem, 3 guys
@@ryanprem472 joker, not john
Okay based on the first 10 minutes of this episode this is what I can wholeheartedly conclude: Joker is a cod-dam amazing sidekick for any evil Batman.
After 15 minutes: alright, he is a good sidekick and would definitely be a good replacement should the main batfamily go out of commission temporarily.
After 26 minutes: I now want a universe where joker and a few of the other villains of batman are his allies and they together they fight off Batman's current allies, or even the justice league.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! why did i curse myself with this idea!!?!?!?!? no one will ever make it :(
... i shouldn't have wrote that and i don't know how to delete that... please ignore the last few lines. :(
I like the way you think :)
Yes you do

Joker in this game is redeemable, his last laugh was genuinely happy and he looks more sane while feeling guilty for his violent choices, i wish there’s more in this game😁
This really shows the joker in a different way he’s not crazy like evil crazy he’s metal like an actual patient from an asylum he can’t control his feelings
Also nice way to portray the joker
I don’t really think he’s stupid or as brain dead as you make him out to be. But in the final fight, that’s where he just snapped.
IT'S JOKERRRR!!!!!!
honestly, letting him go the way of crime is the best, story-wise, and Telltales should keep doing this Batman series. And Anthony Ingruber, if you're reading this, thank you, keep being Joker, you made my day!
Cy SwiftX Thank you, I'll pass your kind comment on to Anthony.
It's...sad. So, so sad...
😭
At
The end I gave up Batman it was the only way
So epic.
WAIT BUT THE JOKER IS SO LOVEABLE BUT HE SCARES ME SO MUCH AND IM JUST CONFUSED
Megggy Boi I know this is an old comment but I relate very much
"We're taking the Batmobile?"
.....
"We're taking the Batmobile!"
He is cute.
Hats off to Telltale for pulling off two totally different stories for a season finale of a game. This is the story I prefer, but the villain version is amazing as well! Great job!
This was way better than the villain story
Keane Martin agreed
Nah both are great.
I liked them both very much, but I agree, vigilante is superior.
Red Ballad Yes Batman against the Government is boring
Reverse Flash he did it before
26:32 Joker (John Doe): WERE TAKING THE BATMOBILE???
WERE TAKING THE BATMOBILE!!!!!
I love it.
You are the best please reply back to me lol
Finally, I was waiting for it all day!
ZIGUS333 me too!!
Ten minutes in. I love Joker as a vigilante
I hope there will be season 3
Black Eagle you know there is a season 3
I hope too, but if there will be season 3, which characters would you like to see in season 3?
Dominik9603 Gaming dr hugo strange maybe or ras al ghul plenty to pick from
I would like to see deadshot, deathstroke, firefly or robin, but I would like the court of owls as the main villains
That cant be Tiffany if you see it was not a drone it was a man in armor my guess it’s deathstroke look at the day riddler die I think she hired him
That batman-like entry from John to help Batman in the beginning was golden!
Vigilante Joker story is wayy better! I actually feel bad for Joker now..
Me too.
JOKER: We're taking the BATMOBILE? *gets in at supersonic speed*JOKER: WE'RE TAKING THE BATMOBILE!ME: How did you get in so fast?
ever heard of jumpcuts?
I just love these little short talks going on between joker and Alfred in the background during the ‘arm wound’ scene. X)
This ending is far better than the villian route which was quite underwhelming!
TheReluctantTH-camr btw wanna ask something M8? Who was the man at the end of this episode I mean was that hush or was it bruce wayne. Cause I am confused??
Singh is king probably hush will be the next villain
Yah could be...why else would bruce be all smiley lol
I wondered the same question.
TheReluctantTH-camr your not right imo. Vigilante breaks the vision of joker for me. Im a fan of ledger and killing joke joker so a vigilante kills everything i like in the character imo.
SEASON 3!!! SEASON 3!!! SEASON 3!!! I'll be shouting outside of my house to make it happen...😂😂😂
Steven Isaac Martin I don't think it's possible as without Alfred batman wouldn't have any help, and Tiffany is gone. If Alfred stays, Bruce can't become Batman. So there's no way to stop the criminals
Sir_sipeington lol wtf what are u talking about bruce can be batman without Alfred in the comics Alfred did go away for some time but that dind't stop bruce from being batman so it is perfectly possible for a season 3
killer gaming yes, but not everyone chose that option
Sir_Snipeington dude do u even play telltale games sometimes the choices don't matter i'm pretty sure that in season 3 bruce will be batman despite what the player chooses because of the villan that we will have in season 3
killer gaming dude, do you even know correct grammar? Besides, there may be a season 3 but I doubt it
33:21 i enjoys how wallers attatude changes imedeatly xD from "I aint scared of you!" to "pls no"
Wow,that's one of the best Batman/Joker confrontations I've ever seen.
An amazing ending to an amazing game
Wish it never ended tho 😪
I love this joker
Why do I feel like this is the “true” ending and the villain one is more of a dlc type story?
Not gonna lie. I don’t remember any other version of the joker that made me laugh so much
This Joker is the best. I want him in season 3.

This game has really great storytelling small details/events from past episodes really made an affected on story Of next episodes
I could listen to the Joker and Alfred banter/conversation all day long!
Joker: "I guess that's it, then? I just really wanted to be a hero, you know? But I just can't."
Me: "We all did, Joker. We all did."
Plays for hours and it's Alfred or batman WHAT THE HECK TELLTALE
I really like how they made this Joker, it's different, unpredictable, and really interesting to watch his evolution as a character, and interaction with Bats, despite the fact that he is a psycho and kills people(but i don't think someone actually cared about dead agents)
I swear, the joker was such a cinamon roll in the beginning
And!
A total fanboy

Batman The Enemy Within is overall more better than Batman The Telltell Series and is also better made for having better graphics more features and a better experienced team, S1 had a heroic theme and S2 had a darker theme, The Telltale Series did a better job with Batman and Bruce's character by consistently having equal time for both and The Enemy Within did a better job at devoloping and compelling us too Batman and Bruce's character, S1 has a more simple and focused story, and S2 has a more Complex and a cohesive story, and Batman The Enemy Within fits the Batman Lore better than Batman The Telltale Series and pushes the boundaries further.
I hope there is a Season Three:.
TheDCLogical :., hopefully.
My favorite episode of all telltale games is the ending of batman the enemy with in i mean the ending of the vigilante joker
My God Anthony Ingruber was truly phenomenal in this. He left it all out on the floor. Damn perfection.
Wait so they just left Alfred in the alley😂
Or... they made him sit in the backseat.
God I’m glad I went down this route for so many reasons one it leads to less death two seeing Joker trying to become a hero is actually pretty interesting
46:18 I thought Alfred was gonna say “You’re not Superman”
sofiyan ali he was definitely going to say it
This ending actually really upset me.
1:17:00 that voice crack is my favourite part of the speech , it makes it feel real , I don’t know if it was intentional tho
Thanks again for the awesome videos buddy, especially for one of the best heroes in all DC. Well its official the Joker's no hero, though he did seem like he had promise.
22:20
Did Joker just call himself a maniac?
Oh, John... Same as always, huh?
I’m glad this game did something new with the character of joker, as well as the batman formula as a whole. The complete lack of Killing Joke references is also refreshing.
I like this vigilante Joker. Something new and original.

The villain Joker route: Hello there.
I liked this episode, except for the fact that Bruce was such a jerk to Selina because of previous choices! 😭
I didn't have to sacrifice those choices. Weird...
Because in the previous choice, if you pick blame Catwoman, it will happen like this in the video. But you pick blow up your cover, this won’t happen.
It's because the player is one of the worst players I ever saw. His choices are terrible.
Oh my goodness. This level has never reached that high before.
Riddler kills Lucius Fox,
Bane's debut along with the Pact's identity,
About 74% of Gotham seized control by the Agency,
John becomes The Joker,
And now- Tiffany's a sniper behind the death of The Riddler?
Exactly how much of an scale 1 to 10 of how worst this event takes place for our point of view? And also what is your suggestions?

--what are your suggestions?*
uncut guy Your fucking English is so horrendous I have no idea what you're trying to covey.
I like that u can actually try to make joker a sympathetic character even though he still really needs help with his mental health
"Waller really doesn't care"

I dislike her.

This was a well done episode. Thank u Telltale
Even if it feels like he's gonna turn bad, he's a true friend. I can't break that or hurt him
In some way he still is a good guy.
I appreciate how joker and Waller (kinda) switch roles depending on who you align with
And now..... I am waiting for season 3......
Diya Singh Ikr
Diya Singh Same. I'm disappointed there was no end scene with Selina
Brian Boardwell... I'm too disappointed.... At least one time they should have a happy ending with her. .... I'm a true supporter of Bat n Cat😊

1:14:47 (tears form) John: " be loved by you" 😢😢
gotta say... i'm only at 26:50 by now and this is definetly the greatest timeline of all time
The creators of the game definitely don’t know anything about hydrogen peroxide. It doesn’t sting. Alcohol does.
That could just be Joker.
Anyone getting flashbacks to walking dead season 2 where Clementine was in the shed stitching up her wound ouch 😬
BEST GAME EVER! I'm praying for season 3!
Vampire Girl sadly, TellTale shutdown
Gotta love this Joker, such character. This was amazing to watch. Start to finish
8:42 Now THIS is the bane we all wanted!!!
i like Bane more in episode 2, 3, and 4
Finally i have been waiting for thiss since episode 4
I like John Doe being a hero then a villain basically a vigilante and also in the vigilante side of joker YOU PUT THE BLAME IN CATWOMAN
And lastly that last part is really sad
Godtdayum. That fight at the end, && john SNAPPING && killing those agency personnel was absolutely BRUTAL. kinda sad bruce didn't take the time to ACTUALLY TEACH john how to be a proper vigilante.
Still. This was a great episode.

It means that bruce frees jonh by buying his way to get him out of arkham😂😂
Its Thomas Elliot
God, there were too many scenes in this route to make me cry but the one with Alfred? Gosh that nearly got me. I was crying internally, damn this game showed how hard it is to make decisions. It showed how every choice you make affects everyone differently.
I have to ask... where did Alfred go after Joker and Batman drove off with the Batmobile?
Derrick Dinwiddie Probably Called A Taxi
Derrick Dinwiddie he called an uber
Duh
Derrick Dinwiddie He had a spare grappler gun.
I like to think they made him sit in the backseat.
This is probably better than the other path and this was awesome, he’s a total opposite from Bruce; Bane looks awesome and has his cool mask.
Edit: Watched other play through, just as good.
Dang that ending Batman vs Joker fight was brutal. This is definitely the best episode of the season imo
26:33-26:39 one of the best moments!
Man joker really earned that he earned it i hope he stays in there for life he won't get better
