    I married an African Lady and have 2 grown up boys. Our parents had no objections because (1) Indians are hard working (2) Indians are clever in learning STEM (3) Indians read a lot (4) Indians are open to the world (50 Indians are flexible with religion and support each other. We eat both Indian and East African Food. It is seamless. We both cross each other cultures. We have travelled the world and actually, LIFE is a mystery and embracing diversity is a challenge. We now settled back in Africa and serving out community to be better in Education and Technology. Education is the greatest Leveler. Marry someone who complements you in all aspects. Happiness is a work in progress.

      @@onepunchman3413 ....not anymore...if it's Indian Hindu, then there is no concept of divorce in Hindu cultural and religious practices, but if Indian mus N xtians then they have divorce as part of their religious doctrines...just bcos it's one man-one women that doesn't mean they are happy, just bcos there is joint family system doesn't mean PPL live with cohesiveness, there is lot of problems within the family structure like mil-dil fights, hus-wife fights, there are the draconian laws like 478A law which is heavily misused by spiteful women and the dowry system which abuses the wife side of family, not to mention caste system..there are lot of problems in South asian family structure just like there are problems every where in the world, in reality Indian families are not this happy image that is portraiyed to the outside world 🌎🌍

    Arranged Marriage the parents propose partners but boy/ girl chooses. Think of it as an equivalent dating site. The website proposes many potential partners but you choose. Instead of a website algorithm your parents (who know you best) do the match/recommendations.

    When Indian people marry they pledge to stay with that girl/boy not only in this lifetime but in also whenever they born again ( rebirth ) they are going to marry that same partner.
    So when Indian marry they think that they reuniting with his/her partner.
    Indians are loyal to partner and divorse is consider taboo/bad.

    I come to understand that your hubby's religion and your religion is Christianity and food habits are non vegetarian in common and you are blessed by God to have a good husband. In India majority of the people are Hindus and follow many follow pure vegetarian food habits. There are en number of languages are in India and each states follow different languages and with in the states there are sub divisions . Of course Hindi is a binding language in Northern India and in South India you have four major languages in each states. So living in India one should be a multiple personality in knowing the languages to communicate with other people and each state has different flavours and food habits.Even though India has diversity in many ways and Hindu religion is a common binding factor emotionally. As you said In India arranged marriages are still followed for the betterment of the family and the society in large. We do have love marriages in India with inter religion and inter caste based and percentage of that kind is very minimum depending upon the families attitude and approach. Any way you have a good husband and a wonderful and blessed life years ahead. May God bless you and your family once again with lots of love and affection.

    Pie, within the last 5 years I never paid attention to this man that is so nice to me, and yes he's Indian. I always responded with respect because he's a very kind man. Well, one day I caught him staring at me and for some odd reason I stared back. From then on I became very curious about him thru the years. In my opinion there is very little true cultural differences, but lots of similarities. Spicy food and commitment would be a welcome to me. You both give me hope...peace and blessings to your beautiful family.

    Let me tell you some facts
    India has least divorce in the world
    The main reason is due to religion
    In western religions
    Like you u r Christian ,the word for seperation is Divorce
    And i am a Muslim ,the word is called TALAQ
    But there is not even a single word for seperation in Hindu,Buddh,Sikh,Jain
    That's the major reason why India has least dirvoce on earth and plus they marry for 7 births ,their weddings are biggest and most expensive,the celebration is longest
    I have been with many weddings as i have many Hindu and sikh friends mostly Punjabi
    So Indian man remain devoted entire life to one woman
    In India only we muslims are allowed to have multiple wives but us Urban man don't marry multiple coz we consider it as old tradition and about them Hindus and Sikhs etc
    Marriage is a sacred thing .even if couples hate each other ,they will tolerate each other for sake of child but will never be seperated and also society shame is also there and so much pressure from others if they get seperated
    Even my parents don't like each other much still they stay together
    It's due to society pressure after living with them (Hindu,Sikhs ,Buddha ,jain) has some effects on other religions too
    As long as they are in majority everyething fine
    And city boys like us love ,care and even cook for our partners but staying close to culture is important
    And always chase love
    Peace out

    • @RamandPie

      Never be afraid of what his parent are going to say because love is powerful and can change people's mind in a good way.

    • @dinamothupi996
      @dinamothupi996 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Plus, Islam is clearly against racism. And both of you are Muslim, so from a religious point of view there should be no problem as long as the both of you are compatible personality-wise, goals,lifestyle etc .
      On another note, maybe the guy that you are in love with should find out exactly what it is that his parents are worried about so that if you get to meet with them, you can discuss it with them and show them how good you are for their son, how much of a good person you are and how you will respect and fit into their family and values etc ( if you haven't already done so).
      Perhaps even show some Mufti Menk and other scholars videos as well.
      I pray that it this will work out for you. All the best.
      Edit: Maybe also learn their culture as well and even try to learn the language that is associated with it.
      Obviously this and the things that I had mentioned above does not mean that the guy you love doesn't have a part to play. He must also fight for your love as well. Lastly, I wanted to recommend Namaste Wahala as a movie that not only portrays what you are going through but also as something to give you hope.

      @@dinamothupi996 Racism wasn't there when Islam was constructed. This is just false propaganda. Moreover, be it Islam or any religion, they never teach to discriminate people.

    • @dinamothupi996
      @dinamothupi996 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KejriwalBhakt I never said that racism was there when Islam was brought as a religion nor did I mention that religions teach racism or that racism was present at the introduction of these religions.
      I mentioned the racism because there are racist non-Black Muslims that ignore the Qu'ranic verse on how no ethnic group is superior to the other, especially based on my experience as a Black Muslim myself and Kai's experience of this as well.
      And this was done so that I could suggest a solution to Kai's issue because Anti-Black racism is a real issue when it comes to interracial relationships, especially when it come to the parents of your partner.

      @Abigail it wasn’t in Allah’s decree for us to marry. It’s been well with my soul for a long time now. We chat every now and again to see how each other is doing but we both moved on and married other people. Allah knows best. Best of luck to you and I pray you end up with someone that will love you freely and without restrictions.

He says his parents and brothers back in India will disown him if he stays with me and not come home and marry. I asked him why he wouldn’t fight for me .. he says he will but not sure we will get the outcome that we want.., help any advice ??? Should I walk away from him ???

My first movie was PI, then Slum Dog Millionaire, from then on Bollywood movies: SRK is my fav actor. Next, I started to watch South Indian movies! Pie the other languages are Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Bengali, Hindi, Odisha. So many other languages spoken in India.

      I am sure there were multiple red flags, but you may have ignored them for a number of reasons. Never ever have sex with a man that isn’t your husband. I learned this the hard way. A lot of Indian men Black women as a fetish. If you are Black American (FBA/ADOS) , he may have done this due to the negative stereotypes a lot of foreigners tend to have towards us.
      I recommend you listen to Bishop RC Blakes, he teaches women how to navigate relationships with men from a Biblical perspective. Even, if you are not Christian I am sure you can benefit from his teachings. Also, do not refer to your child’s father as “baby daddy”, just say “father” because he did father the child even though he has no relationship. The “baby daddy” and “baby momma” terms are rather inappropriate and needs to be abandoned.

    • @sairis
      @sairis ปีที่แล้ว

      Kudos, to you for handling that baby. 👏
      Nowadays, some couples have become so-careless that they don't care for a baby, which is supposed to be a crucial part of their bondage.
