Raw comedy with laughter that almost made me roll off my chair then, tears streaming down my cheeks cos of the emotional scene, I seriously cried out my eyes cos blessings scene where she felt betrayed (wrapped with emotions), love the friendship, fights, the love, relationships everything I love. All characters(casts gave their 100%, plus whoever did the casting was on point, I was just screaming these cast made the movie so good. Nzerians gather round. Everyone is talking about how Dami's friend betrayed her but nobody is talking about all the time her friend showed up for her. I think she just had enough. There's only so much one can take.

What happened to telling her what you expect of her at your introduction! Dammy only fights when people try to cheat her. She doesn’t go looking for trouble. She loved her friend so much!! It was so evident! If you could invite someone (a work colleague) who talks down on Dammy and you don’t even like it, then why couldn’t you invite your supposed best friend? There are people who love deeply and it definitely takes time to adjust their character to fit into your life! If I were her friend, I’d have told her that I want her at my introduction but she has to promise to not pick a fight or retaliate when people push her. That way, dammy would be careful to not hurt her friend because she loves her friend!
@dorcastweneboah8880 Easier said than done for someone like Dami. She's rough that's the way she was brought up and it only takes actions like the one her friend took to call her back if you know what I mean. It took her almost loosing her friend to realize that she needed fixing. What her friend did was bad but you can't blame her. Plus she's been friends with Dami all her life so it's safe to say she knows her just as much as she knows herself. So her fears were justified. And at the end Dami got better because she wanted to get better. I think that's the best part of the story.
You’re on point. Because Dami never for once thought of how her actions makes her friend feel.. she keeps living her life and the friend keeps coming through. It can be exhausting. We should learn to work on our excess especially when people around us are constantly frowning at it.

It’s so beautiful how friendship hurts so much than relationships , I think probably coz we don’t get to groom some of our actions with them and they’re able to see the true us
I remember during my Jss2 when my friend stopped talking to me coz she got transferred to another class , remembered going to hers every break time only for her to ignore me I did that for a while TERM I was really hurt coz we attended same church , same school , stayed in the same area before moving and even after we moved we meet up at ours hours guyyyy i remembered we got late for our entrance exam from primary school to secondary school because we had eaten Eba and egusi soup at her house ( God her mom can cook ehn 😝) , finally sha we got to write and we did good , I did well but she scored low and that caused the separation in class , could that have caused it ,
Anyways we’ve gotten to meet up again via social media but the friendship hasn’t been the same sha but we cool now

This is a wholesome work and beautiful movie. Goes to show that behind the hard shell is a soft soul willing to accept love. Thank Ma'am for this story.
Such lovely movie. I laughed well, and I'm happy that the movie wasn't a love triangle between friends. Nonye's fiance wore the same shirt that Dami wore on the day she found out about the introduction. Wardrobe dropped the ball there.
However, I loved how the bedsheets kept on changing to reflect the passage of time. Most people don't pay attention to that. It's just the nails and Polish that didn't change.
Wished we could see more cogent flashbacks to the thick and thin that Dami and Nonye walked through.
😂😂😂 I can imagine how she fell for the client immediately, she saw fine boy and then packaged back again. The teacher moments were the funniest and how she struggled to not speak in Yoruba.
Everyone acted well, including Munirat, who looks like Beerah.
Also, I love that the set is different from the places I've been seeing in other movies.
You're right about that bedsheet part. I stopped watching Ruth Kadiri movies cos it's always same house, same bedsheet, same set of actors, like you can't even tell the difference in some of her movies.

My final year of uni my best friend was getting an award and she knew about it for months, guess what she came to my roo m and told me and my roommate that if we have time we should go! My heart sank! She left for the event without me and when i was getting ready to go my neighbor told me not to coz if she misses me at the event she'll come! Well she didn't! I was broken and when I confronted her about it she was not even remorseful and thats how i let go of that friendship!

This was me with my "best friend". To be fair, I always knew she was my best friend but I wasn't hers. She called me to tell me about her introduction, then ended it by saying she would understand if I couldn't make it. That was the end of the friendship for me too.

The storyline is fire, betrayal in friendship is not the easiest to deal with. Mrs Nze, Lolo you dey act abeg. I shed a tear 😢.
