Mirage actually pairs well with rev because when mirage uses his ult while in death protection all the decoys have the red totem effect so the enemies think they are real
Oh this was perfect, I've been using Mirage in Arenas cause you can use the ult every round and he's actually just a blast regardless of whether or not he's top tier. Bamboozling people is just extremely satisfying and it's always great when the enemy clearly has no clue what is going on.
Yep, Mirage in Arena is so much fun especially early on Supply boxes. You can just send decoy on the supply box or behind it when enemy try to loot....instant knocks by distraction.
I always send a decoy in the open and emote with it, people fall for it alot. I have made so many 3v1 clutches in arenas with his ultimate, especially in a tight-ish space where nobody can see what's going on with the sheer amount of decoys, you just pop it and act like you are in a different spot. Like if someone is right in front of me, I act like no one is there, so they just assume I'm a decoy, then I get the easy knock. He is by far the most fun legend, and that's why i main him, it's not because he is better but because he is fun.
One of the best things I’ve found to do with him is place a decoy on an enemy death box. Makes it look like the decoy is looting items. It tricks even the best of players!
i normally place 1 by a door cause ppl think that its actually someone guarding the door XD and if u move him while you're near like a window or something its even better
Also remember to be one with the decoy. It’s okay to turn your back to them or even walk past the enemy when you pop your ult. They’re looking for the real mirage. They won’t expect the one running up to them to be the real one. ( walk don’t run. ) take it from a bamboozler. It works ~
I find that L - Star works magically with mirage, as one of his big decoy issues is they don't reloaded with you. Solved if you never have to reload at all. This combo is probably the most incredible when it comes to fighting multiple enemies.
Mirage’s invisible revive ability is very underrated. I have had countless times with my friends where I have been able to pick them both up in the middle of a gunfight safely and turn the fight round because of it
I think it would be way too overpowered. Would be awesome because youd almost always get the self revive off. But it would basically guve mirage 2 lives with gold knockdown.
Some extra Mirage tips: Decoys will slide at a set speed and distance even if you send it up or down hill! Decoys while airborne will be launched and carried based on mirages current momentum. If you're falling at max speed, riding ziplines or jump padding then those decoys will soar!
As a Mirage main, one thing I see people not doing nearly enough is switching the decoys to control mode. Most people just send the decoys off in one direction and call it a day. I almost always switch to control mode the second I deploy the decoy. You will get ALOT more bamboozles this way

I remember, I bought Mirage because I loved the idea of bamboozling enemies and just generally come up with fun plans and tactics. At first I was really disappointed by my purchase because I had no idea of how to make him work. Guides like yours and some guidelines by teammates helped quite a bit and now he's probably my favorite. (i don't main anyone because I'm so indecisive :D) Also he just has the best one liners and overall character ;)
I have a really dumb habit playing Mirage where I completely forget to use his ultimate whenever I'm in an intense close-range battle. Either I panic or I just get so focused on shooting that I forget what character I'm playing 😅
I think a good Mirage buff would be allowing him to control his tactical decoy better. Like if you direct it outside and go inside a building and start controlling it, you should be able to control it regardless on if you’re walking into a wall or not, you know? I think that’d give him a ton of more utility.
Switching bodies with decoy would be enough for me. That way, even if opponent finds the real one, you can switch body with decoy and confuse the enemy and avoid dmg.
Me and my friend are just about the lowest skill players there are because we really don’t care about being good, we would rather just have fun. I got mirage and he works soooo good in lower ranked lobbies because every one is just as trash as us and can’t tell a decoy from a normal mirage at all. I’ve even bamboozeled myself a few times😂😂😂
For each of my legends, they all grant me a playstyle that works well in specific situations For clutching a gunfight, Mirage is my go to, for a strong late game, Crypto is my man, for a strong start to a gunfight, Octane wins every time, for a good early game Fuse is my greatest, for mobility in a bad situation, Pathfinder takes the cake Overall, I’m more skilled with specific legends when it comes to certain situations than others
@@TimProVision People who play a lot are familiar with the old “I will send a decoy out one side then come round the other” trick. Having two decoys means you could have two options. Then after a while people will get used to waiting for two decoys to come out before shooting, but you could just stick to the old send one out method and it would definitely fuck a lot more people up lol.
Omg I just searched "Mirage guide" and this video came up, 3 minutes after you uploaded it. It's like you can read my mind! I'm a brand new player but whether it's a smart decision or not, Mirage will be the first character I unlock when I level up enough!
I'm a Mirage main even in ranked and one thing that ALWAYS gets people is when I send out a decoy towards the enemy's direction and immediately begin controlling it after facing 45 degrees right or left then heading straight. This allows me to flank with such ease helping me to attack from the side or even from behind because they have no clue before it's too late.
Mirage is one of those legends that is fun because every game feels different. I think the skill ceiling for characters that are less popular tends to be much higher than the popular ones. Playing Gibby or Bloodhound, many games just blend together even if you have a big game. I will walk away from many games on Mirage feeling satisfied because I was able to 1v3 or drop on top of someone from height and just shuffle their brain and 1 clip them. The highs are high and the lows are low for non-standard legends, but Mirage is super fun to play.
One of my absolute favorite things about mirage is the fact that decoys can use grav cannons which has fooled a fair bit of my enemies also it’s super fun to fling a dupe half way across the map. I never see anybody else using this tactic on storm point tho, so I figured I’d share it lol

I’ve noticed that I can go completely invisible with particular skins while reviving ..but then there are those skins where the holo gear on his arms are so bright no matter what.. I stay away from those skins because I’m not about to be shot while reviving my teammate. That passive has been a blessing in so many matches it’s insane lol
Another tip for his ult is : If you know or think your going to get knocked, pop your ult so that when you are knocked it confuses the enemy if they want to finish you. This will give you time to crawl away to self revive or just hide This has helped me everytime i use it, defo recommend trying it out

Im a Crypto main but Mirage has given me more wins lately. I'm usually the support teammate so he's perfect to help the team by being a distraction and healing while everyone is fighting and not see you.
It would against me since when I fight other Mirages, I watch for tricks that I do to tell a fake from real so if you do something like walk in a straight line and stop, reving (unless I saw the Mirage cloack), or moving around and never shoot, I won't shoot, the only time I self decoy is in the ult by aiming at walls and trying to seem to dumb to be the real Mirage then attacking
Mirage is that one legend a lot of people will say after they see his abilities: "those abilities sucks, no way in hell I'm falling for that." But every time you face a Mirage player you get bamboozled anyways. And tbh that's part of his strength. The fact that people tend to underestimate him and end up bamboozling enemies pretty easily is what makes him good. Yeah there are some people especially high level ones will never fall for it, but pull it off on a good spot on a right timing and you end up bamboozling enemies pretty good. I don't know how many countless of times my Ultimate saved my ass after pulling it off from a cover and just quickly run for safety or make an aggressive play while they are confuse with my ultimate. It's either always a free get away, or a free kill for you if you end up confusing the enemy really good as you can get a lot of pot shots for free while he/she try to figure out which one is the real you out of your ultimate.
This works really well for me cause I accidentally bought him and was thinking why not play him and I was really good at him,this really helps thanks my good man
Thank you for this video, I realized I was using the decoys passively to get out of situations rather than actively following my decoy into engagements to get kills while the attention is off of me. My kill count has skyrocketed because I actually started pushing in behind the decoy. Thank you!!
Mirage Main ever since they reworked hus Ultimate into "Life of the Party". Sure, I'll usually play someone else when playing sweaty ranked matches, but there is really no other Legend I get more satisfaction from playing than from Mirage. As a buff, I really think they should consider giving his decoys a healthbar so that enemies will think they are shooting the real Mirage for at least 2-3 bullets.
Been a Mirage main since before season 1 he’s seen bad days and good. I hope we see another buff or rework so he can compete in high end gameplay love Mirage either way
A really good strategy, is that when you use ur ult just run towards the enemy. Usually the enemy shoots the clones running away. I have got away from lots of crazy sitsuations by just running towards my enemy, cuz they dont expect it!
You can use your decoys to create space for yourself. Even if you're up against a smart player who can tell you from your decoys, seeing your decoys while you're behind cover puts them in a state of "I know that's not him." Which you can interpret as them acknowledging they don't know where you are*. People don't want to blindly push into that. At the very least they're going to hesitate. Use this time to reposition/heal/reload/rez. *This depends on where they last saw you. If you can only come out of cover 1 way, they can still be certain of where you are. If you break line of sight through a doorway or corner with multiple routes, they cannot be certain of your position.
The number of times I've ulted and slid past someone while invisible, and the number of times I've gotten off a sneaky invisible res is why I love mirage
When you mentioned ‘become the decoy’ part I’m too lazy to time stamp I had Vietnam flashbacks when I did that in battle royale and was able to flank the last team and still lose. Because I suck.
I started season 8 didn’t play season 9 much, and season 10 I solo q’d to diamond both splits.. with mirage only.. I got bamboozled hard when I first played apex so I unlocked mirage and haven’t looked back.. anytime I try another legend I end up back with my bamboozles.. he’s the best for solo q in my opinion
In some of the sweaty or ranked games I’ve used Mirage‘s alt to reposition by acting like a bot or just completely walking by a team and that has saved made me my life many times one time I was at one HP and I had no ammo for my close range weapon I was running an R9 and a kraber and so I became one with the decoy and and then just walked past three entire squads that were shooting my decoys and then was able to reposition and get second place this was also in Masters in the mobile version and I hope this helps anybody attempting to master Mirage
Lol I just unlocked Mirage today and took him for a spin and boy oh boy! It's been a while that I had such a hearty laugh in a while everything from his quips to his movement Mirage is funny,now I'm thinking on settling down on Mirage and I feel like I've spent the apex coins wise this time.
ANOTHER MIRAGE TIP: if you need to get up a zip line and an enemy is at the top, when you get near the top, use the decoy and then hop off the zip line and get back on. It shoots the decoy up super far and high and makes it look completely legit, then you pop up and shoot them
When running from a team, I love popping life of the party one way then as soon as I'm invisible, just running the other way. Im usually gone by the time they realize
As a newbie just played for a month Just get mirage yesterday and played the first NG game Only 1 teammate and he go for bloodhound mission Landing in a poor position, no loot nearby, with me only… But Win a fist fight first Grab the R99 on the way Meet a drone crypto and thanks for free kill Become a third party and get the kill with 1 bullet ( I don’t know why the other wraith just Q out when I tried to shoot her) Another downed enemy and finished him Meet up with the hound Then, finally champion with 6 kills and 9xx damage… Even the hound shocked that we can get it Then I tried to play him in NG The decoy really fun and works especially I am not good at exchanging bullets with enemy The decoy helps me to get the good position to shoot enemy aside Maybe will try him later for rank (I am not rank in S10)
I think his decoys should be controlled similar to iana from r6, or they can block doors and players, or he cloaks when healing then goes through a short animation.
Just won my first game with Mirage; it was only my second match after unlocking him. I had more fun with him than my first game with Octane or Crypto. Plus I think he’s about to make me no longer be a Loba main so there’s that

Ive used the ult to get past doors that are being watched closely by enemies, a great way to drop an enemy and push past their hold.

Yeah there are some people especially high level ones will never fall for it, but pull it off on a good spot on a right timing and you end up bamboozling enemies pretty good. I don't know how many countless of times my Ultimate saved my ass after pulling it off from a cover and just quickly run for safety or make an aggressive play while they are confuse with my ultimate. It's either always a free get away, or a free kill for you if you end up confusing the enemy really good as you can get a lot of pot shots for free while he/she try to figure out which one is the real you out of your ultimate.
Honestly mirage is soo under rated because of the creativity he brings he is my favorite to have on my team but my worst nightmare
been a few days with mirage, still getting the hang of it but he is so much fun to play as. I love his voice lines!

Thank you for this video, I realized I was using the decoys passively to get out of situations rather than actively following my decoy into engagements to get kills while the attention is off of me. My kill count has skyrocketed because I actually started pushing in behind the decoy. Thank you!!

Mirage Main ever since they reworked hus Ultimate into "Life of the Party". Sure, I'll usually play someone else when playing sweaty ranked matches, but there is really no other Legend I get more satisfaction from playing than from Mirage.
As a buff, I really think they should consider giving his decoys a healthbar so that enemies will think they are shooting the real Mirage for at least 2-3 bullets.
Been a Mirage main since before season 1 he’s seen bad days and good. I hope we see another buff or rework so he can compete in high end gameplay love Mirage either way

First game I played with mirage was a ranked game, which I got a 2k badge with 12 kills. Because I’m in low plat, he is very good for me

A really good strategy, is that when you use ur ult just run towards the enemy. Usually the enemy shoots the clones running away. I have got away from lots of crazy sitsuations by just running towards my enemy, cuz they dont expect it!
Finally, some mirage love.
You can use your decoys to create space for yourself. Even if you're up against a smart player who can tell you from your decoys, seeing your decoys while you're behind cover puts them in a state of "I know that's not him." Which you can interpret as them acknowledging they don't know where you are*. People don't want to blindly push into that. At the very least they're going to hesitate. Use this time to reposition/heal/reload/rez.
*This depends on where they last saw you. If you can only come out of cover 1 way, they can still be certain of where you are. If you break line of sight through a doorway or corner with multiple routes, they cannot be certain of your position.
As a Mirage Main I can't help but sometimes get pissed when people say mirage is not that good he's underrated

Placing a decoy behind cover and the enemy can just see the decoy then self decoying is always fun to do.
The number of times I've ulted and slid past someone while invisible, and the number of times I've gotten off a sneaky invisible res is why I love mirage
When you mentioned ‘become the decoy’ part I’m too lazy to time stamp I had Vietnam flashbacks when I did that in battle royale and was able to flank the last team and still lose. Because I suck.
But that doesn’t matter because that was a while ago and I have improved! (You happy now my therapist?!)

A tip I have is when you use his ult it to run to the center to "shuffle " the decoys to confuse the people you're fighting
I started season 8 didn’t play season 9 much, and season 10 I solo q’d to diamond both splits.. with mirage only.. I got bamboozled hard when I first played apex so I unlocked mirage and haven’t looked back.. anytime I try another legend I end up back with my bamboozles.. he’s the best for solo q in my opinion

In some of the sweaty or ranked games I’ve used Mirage‘s alt to reposition by acting like a bot or just completely walking by a team and that has saved made me my life many times one time I was at one HP and I had no ammo for my close range weapon I was running an R9 and a kraber and so I became one with the decoy and and then just walked past three entire squads that were shooting my decoys and then was able to reposition and get second place this was also in Masters in the mobile version and I hope this helps anybody attempting to master Mirage

If you do mirages ultimate where he creates 10 other decoys and have the emote with the camera it can make other decoys and it's funny to troll with
Lol I just unlocked Mirage today and took him for a spin and boy oh boy! It's been a while that I had such a hearty laugh in a while everything from his quips to his movement Mirage is funny,now I'm thinking on settling down on Mirage and I feel like I've spent the apex coins wise this time.

ANOTHER MIRAGE TIP: if you need to get up a zip line and an enemy is at the top, when you get near the top, use the decoy and then hop off the zip line and get back on. It shoots the decoy up super far and high and makes it look completely legit, then you pop up and shoot them

Grab the R99 on the way
Meet a drone crypto and thanks for free kill
Become a third party and get the kill with 1 bullet
( I don’t know why the other wraith just Q out when I tried to shoot her)
Another downed enemy and finished him
Meet up with the hound
Then, finally champion with 6 kills and 9xx damage…
Even the hound shocked that we can get it
Then I tried to play him in NG
The decoy really fun and works especially I am not good at exchanging bullets with enemy
The decoy helps me to get the good position to shoot enemy aside
Maybe will try him later for rank (I am not rank in S10)

I think his decoys should be controlled similar to iana from r6, or they can block doors and players, or he cloaks when healing then goes through a short animation.

Just won my first game with Mirage; it was only my second match after unlocking him. I had more fun with him than my first game with Octane or Crypto. Plus I think he’s about to make me no longer be a Loba main so there’s that
