Mirage is definitely underrated as a player who pretty much only plays the playlist track. It works great to tactical players and get easy links on them. Especially when there's no time to reload or heal in battle.
his clones slide speed is faster than his slide speed, and the clones run speed is slower than his run speed, this has multiple uses: . I can spam slides while controlling the clone to send it far distances quickly . I can send it round a corner sliding and enemies while almost always shoot it as it appears to them as me attempting to rush them, the speed of the clone while sliding makes them rush to spray it with bullets, as to them, its like a jumpscare . I usually try to maximise the usage of each clone, so if it hasn't been destroyed, i often spam slides while turning slightly each time to re-position my clone at very weird angles, as enemies, even at more experience, are used to mirages sending out clones in straight lines and usually always being near the clone, not at a weird angle, can easily be caught off guard - though difficult to learn at first, once you get used to it, your clones gain a much greater range of positioning options which they can get to quickly (by spam sliding) allowing you to better catch enemies off guard focused on a clone at a weird angle Eventually you have to start thinking about the perspectives of other players (when dealing with higher level players) and how they react to mirage, for example, I often place my clones behind me when pushing or running from an enemy, because in my lobbies, often mirages will just place their clone in front and then run or push, so most players will shoot the one in front, bamboozling them. Tbh the whole kit is (imo) built on capitalizing on the split second opportunities provided from distractions, which can easily become a powerful tool set for nearly all situations, when used correctly, but that can be said with most legends.
Mirage is one of my mains. It’s so much fun to just mess with people and bait them with the decoys, especially cause it’s easy to get free hits when you use the ult. Only downside is his heirloom imo, as it is my least favorite of all of them (yes, I do believe Ash’s is better, but not by much). Overall Mirage is a 9/10 legend for me, with the only 10/10s being Bangalore, Octane, and Horizon.
He's also just funny in general he just says some of the most random things and then whenever you mention pork chops that's just funny also his ultimate is pretty good for confusing enemies because you can go in and out of the circle and absolutely confused them while firing at them
I’m a level 39 mirage main I got killed by a 389 horizon (I said mirage again had to fix) called Octrain with cosmic hitchhiker skin, and my teammate was a level 10 bloodhound. At the end of the game I met the same horizon and bamboozled them and got the kill So, not all pros can tell the real mirage

As a mirage main, there is one bit of info that you missed with season 17. If you are on a team with a ballistic and he uses his ultimate. That makes mirage shimmer and ruins mirages passive... And possibly his tactical and ult, as i don't think the shimmer affects decoys, making the real mirage a target (unsure about this last bit though)
It feels like Mirage is kinda meta now. I’m one of the people who usually ends up having to fight by himself, so playing mirage helps a lot. It’s especially fun to just mess with people 😂
If you do a dance emote all the mirages do as well which can be fun. I was stuck in a fuse ring of fire thing. And got them all to dance rather than shooting and revealing which I was. And for some reason I find myself being less competitive with Mirage, I mess about more and just have fun
I truly think Mirage and Wraith make a great team on duos. Mirage can cloak while reviving, and send a decoy while Wraith sneaks up on an opponent while void jumping. for a quick escape, Mirage can can deploy a party of decoys while Wraith sets up a portal allowing for a decent escape from a firefight.
it's also would be nice to remove that glowing light behind the decoys because it's often hard to aim through it and make decoys mb little bit transparet for mirage team, because ppl complain that my decoys bamboozle my own team :(
There’s a secret buff if you have his heirloom. After a revive you can pull your gun out while cloaked so it’s ready to be shot once de cloaked. Just a fun little buff
I’ve found having one high damage single shot weapon like wingman, pk or sentinel to work well, no stream of bullets to out you and while in ult you can line up saucy headshots
Its a small thing but at 12:10 I would try not to let your decoys from your ult drop while you are still in the air. It makes it to where all of the decoys are still travelling in one direction for the first like half second. If youb wanna go that direction this might tip the enemy off to where you actually wanna run. On the other hand though you can take advantage of this when you hit the ground by running a different way. I do think its best to make sure you dont have a habit of doing this everytime though.
they need to add an "no-audio legend" paired with mirage his ult is truly undetectable. also if mirage got a crypto scan everytime someone shot his clone and it lasted 4-5 secs. adding him back to recon could be a good idea. no one would ever shoot a mirage clone and it would allow for the sneakiest most crazy outplays we have never seen in apex

a clutch i pulled yesterday was with my teammates dead and a squad now with lv4 armor and a red shield rev and what i did was put a decoy to look like its aiming then just booked it for the boxes Shure enough i got them then hoped in a trident ang got tf out of there and yes we did win that round

I’m a mirage main since 97 I just came to see how other people play it, and don’t fall for that the better players know… I’ve been playing in master and predator lobbies clowning these full predators teams like it’s a birthday party, mirage is underrated af keep it up my kings and just tell them “I may have tricked you”
And I’m talking about hundreds of games where I bamboozle masters and predators not just a good Sunday that I was lucky, and of course yeah there’s players out there that can tell more than others but you don’t know how maaaaany time I’ve gotten into a room with a decoy and popped that ultimate to kill a whole team so just keep practicing handsome mains lol

Here’s the problem though. Let’s be real here and look at all those clips. Ultimate goes crazy. Passive is great. Tactical though? Awful and you can’t change my mind. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt by saying only 30% of these clips the tactical even came close to SOMEHOW helping (especially the one where you fooled them into thinking you were going another direction with the decoy noise) but in a gunfight that tactical distracting them for a mere second isn’t gonna buy you enough time to deal some pretty major damage or even punish them for hitting it in general. Be real here and watch those clips with the tactical. It’s his own aim and skill that gets him the kill, the tactical wouldn’t have changed a thing.

The solution to mirage's skill cap is making his decoys 100% indistinguishable, he should have exactly the same animations as the original.

They don’t allow heirlooms to give advantages it’s a bug, and will probably be patched next season.
I got lucky with a pack today and I bought his heirloom for this exact reason
Also 1 tip always send 1 decoy beside you on an open field. It might increase your chance to survive from being krabered by 50/50.
I do this all the time started maiming mirage after I neglected him went from 51 kills to 212 kills in two days lol he's amazing
I wish they mixed his old ult with his new reworked ult. His old ult i liked the 5 seconds of invisibility until you pull your weapon out
