Not bad for two videos, I understand It takes so much work to keep track of wiring , could you imagine how much more time would be needed if you had to label everything. I love this kit, keep up the great work.

These kits are definitely great we tore the entirety of my wiring harness out of my s10 and did the whole thing over with a super duty kit and it’s like a different truck! Wish I would have filmed everything like y’all are definitely will next time.

Trying to build the motivation to rewire this Nova of mine... It's going to be the last major step in the build. I've never wired a car before, so I'm scared and intimidated by it. The car has some wiring left in it from the previous owner and some of it is labeled but I feel that some of it could be better. Spoke to a friend last week and asked him if I should piece together what's already there or if I should buy a kit from Painless or K&R. Turns out he uses K&R for every car he gets and wires. His advice from his personal experience was to buy the K&R harness and relay panel and be done with it. So I have a feeling I'll end up taking all the existing wires out (including gauges) and start from scratch with K&R. It is pricey, but I suppose it's worth it to have good, labeled wiring.
I do have one question that you might be able to answer. I see that the relay panel has maybe 6 relays and was wondering what those relays control or how many circuits the relays can handle? I'm planning to have a relay for most everything like, transbrake, line lock, electric pumps, fan, etc... Thanks for the videos by the way!
Great question David... and I don't know the answer exactly right now... I think mostly everything that is on the switch panel goes through the relays. I know the switch panel is a low amperage circuit and that's the reason they have the relay board. So I would imagine its all your pumps, fans, lights, etc... I'll need to dig into that a bit more.

Super basic question here (I am clearly not a racer): Why do you run 2 batteries?
Wegs Garage great question. You aren’t the first person to ask that either. You can weigh in on this answer and tell me what you think: I’ve always had two 12V batteries wired in parallel in there, because the car doesn’t have an alternator and I don’t want to ever have a problem keeping up with charging. Now the old man only has one battery (still no alternator) but it is a 16V. He seems to keep up fine, but since it’s 16V, he doesn’t have to run stuff as long (I.e. the car turns over and starts much faster, Coolong fan runs faster, etc). So to be honest, I’m not sure if that answer even makes sense, but that’s always been the set up. A single 16V battery is kind of on the radar for me, since I’m adding so much weight this offseason.
