I love how Hishikaku has become the go-to guy to insert into a story when you need a really arrogant and obnoxious Foundation higher-up who promptly gets absolutely verbally wrecked by everyone around them.

As a nerd who loves ancient tech, I really like the reference to the Antikythera Mechanism at the end when talking about the device's history For context, it is a clockwork mechanism created in ancient Greece found in the early 20th century stored in Athens' museum. Modern analyses using Xray to count the gear tooth reveal it was a complex device that could predict the movement of planets with impressive accuracy (there's a great bbc documentary about it that goes into further details, it is insane, they even accounted for the minute changes in the speed of the Moon around the Earth)
Story 1. Turns out it was an ancient time keeping device I read the POS story, dumb and lame for the longest time they thought it was some alien shit. "Aliens" History channel type crap. The gears were bronze and copper while the thing itself was wood once and had many complex moving parts not to dissimilar to a hurdy gurdy level of complexity for such a simple thing. It kept seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, and years. it was a clock, a Calander, a sun/moon position and speed calculator. I was pissed people were just so stupid about it for so long gas lighting themselves. Although, the alt could be true as well they say it's "actually this" but they mis interpret it yet again and go back on themselves. It really is a very very unusually old computer, dropped by someone in that time period that was from the future and then it found its way to a merchant ship full of sellable goods of ALL kinds. Ship is sunk and cargo lost, it then just "waited" its way through time at the bottom of the ocean. I like my story because from afar I observe these things with the highest most skepticism because of tards like the History Channel Clowns. Second story. A woman goes to bed one night and wakes up in an alt universe of her own. I read both of these stories in one of those magazines you find in a waiting room. Hard to imagine it took like seven years for that 10,000 year old Computer story to FINALLY be GD MFKING put to bed.
Ever since I played it, I keep noticing art from Control in your vids and I love it. If anyone reading hasn't played it and they want a great SCP-inspired game, PLAY IT. You will not be disappointed!
Haven’t read the wiki on this one yet, but I’ve got my prediction. Hishakaku organized the theft of SCP-8888 in an attempt to first undermine, then overthrow the O-5 Council, asserting himself as the sole leader.
I see your prediction and raise you mine. SCP-8888 foresaw/predicted Hishakaku harming the SCP in some significant way involving SCP-8888 & made another prediction to avoid the situation which involved the SCP stealing SCP-8888 from itself.
