Unfortunately, there is no shortage of Christians who believe that it's not only fine to be absolutely awful to everyone around them, but that it's even a requirement of their faith. It's part of the reason I stopped believing, I grew up with people like this, some of my family is still like this. That's not to say anything bad about Christians as a whole - sounds like they are most of this guy's victims - it's just to say it's waaaaaaay too common of an attitude in the community.

Started before then. I worked at a (grunt, cough) cable public access center where well before the tube, FB and other social media people would submit their vhs tapes. No intro title card, just a bunch of get into the face of police for a half hour. Some recording while perched in trees, protesting whatever issue was flavor of the month. They would get super pissed when the allotted time of 28:30 ended and got cut.

There were several times when I have been asked to remove someone from the campus. Coaches are the first teachers asked to do this kind of stuff. A few of them did not want to go and they accidently hit the ground a few times on the way out.

I recall my born-again days, very well, and so it has long since ceased to amaze me that those who claim that for themselves turn out to be petty, mean-spirited, self-entitled, and judgmental.
If we assume, just for the sake of argument, that Jesus existed as described in the New Testament and that his activities and words were recorded, accurately, we know that he had little use for the religious authorities of his day and even less use for the earthly governments and authorities.
Curiously, though, his sermons and saying were pretty much about not concerning oneself with those things and looking to the Kingdom of God. And except for the expulsion of the moneychangers from the Temple, I don't immediately recall any episodes where he sought out the sort of conflict we see this misfit (and those like him) engaging in, regularly.
That tells ME all I need to know about his "Christian 'sincerity.'"

Have both God and Jesus authorized him in any manner to call people names??? He's not serving anyone but himself - as his own behavior clearly demonstrates.
1st Amendment audits started out as an educating task, ie informing people that we still have the Bill of Rights like freedom of press and people shouldn’t be afraid of cameras in public; stemming from the fact that after 9-11 people are willing to give up their rights out of paranoid fear and insecurity. The concept was sincere but TH-cam content creators have mutated it into some kind of entertainment show.

Started before then. I worked at a (grunt, cough) cable public access center where well before the tube, FB and other social media people would submit their vhs tapes. No intro title card, just a bunch of get into the face of police for a half hour. Some recording while perched in trees, protesting whatever issue was flavor of the month. They would get super pissed when the allotted time of 28:30 ended and got cut.

Maybe I read the wrong bits, but I'm fairly sure Jesus didn't recommend calling people names and being horrible to them as a way of spreading the word.

This guy does everything in an attempt to provoke people. The deputy did the right thing when dealing with people like this individual - remain calm and do not give him the reaction he wants. The officer did exactly that, informed him of where he needed to be so the authorities could do their job, and then arrested him. The clown filmed all the evidence needed for a conviction. By my count, he got 90 hots and a cot.
