They really upped the franchise with Gears 5. The jack add-ons are great. Really fun, really useful. Some of the fights were really cool too. About time they allowed the sniper rifle (my favorite weapon) to get resupplied from the blue boxes. Gears 6 has their work cut out for them.
... the "choice" part.. you can throw a knife to cut off a tentacle that saves one of them.. but you can't throw a knife at the head to save both? And potentially end the war? Kate has no emotional connection to that person anymore, as that part of them is dead and even so.. They're responsible for the deaths of many others. Hm.
Would’ve preferred a game about redemption for JD and his reckless antics rather than this entire game after act 1. They could’ve had two different games after Act 1. I prefer my idea of the story rather than this. Wasn’t that interesting.
You see, killing Del does affect everyone as if they lost a fellow combatant. However, killing JD especially affects Marcus way more because he has lost way more throughout the Gears of War Franchise.

Not som legend's "battle-worn" kid, sure, marcus does have to lose somebody else, but that was because Jd was corrupted by the COG,and was hated and rejected by everybody except Fahz. After enriching himself i his old friends' relationships and was accepted, and began to see that everybody else also needed cherishment,and began to redeem himself, but still wasn't completely accepted, so i sadly had to let him go
I would say the first Warden is more of an introduction to a new enemy type than a boss, and Reyna is merely a cutscene encounter, with literally zero player combat. Neither are boss fights. Might as well call Flock fights bosses if you're going to count those two.
@@ZenobHereGaming Yeah I figured there might have been some reason like that for it, but in the campaign, they really aren't bosses. Even the bosses that ARE actual bosses in the campaign though are weak compared to traditional GoW bosses, including on Insane. The toughest parts of the game are the battles where you have tons of enemy types, then they throw in some Scions and a Warden. They give you ways to deal with it though, with ice to make them fall through, heavy weapons here and there, extra squad mates, etc. The most annoying part for me on Insane, which I beat last night, was the damn Abandoned Mine where Jack insists on moving forward and zapping the Elite Grenadiers, exposing himself in the process. One time just before it got to that part, he actually started zapping the two pods in the transition area for no reason, and those just happen to trigger a Juvie super spawn. Needless to say I had to use a lot of checkpoint restarts in that mine.
@@MrFragManiac while I haven't gotten far in the campaign because I didn't play gow4 I understand and speaking of annoying battles,remember the lambent zerker in gears 3 horde? That costed me around 2 controllers due to it and there being like 3 mulchers (my most hated locusts) always ripping me apart in 5 seconds and while the berzerker is kind of easy to take down (if you have the flamethrower they give you as the round starts) also if you remember that when the lambent berzerker dies it becomes a freaking tactical nuke that you have to run like a mile away from it as soon it dies
@@ZenobHereGaming I've never played on console or gamepad, save for when visiting a friend whom played on PS4. I was pretty upset to see GoW 2, 3 on console only. I tried firing up Gears of War 1 on W10 1903 last night. It would install and play but not save without logging into GfWL. Since it wouldn't even save graphics settings, I wasn't sure if it was even worth it, so I uninstalled it. The graphics look like crap compared to 4 and 5 anyway, I just didn't get the same feeling. I never got GoW UE because it's so buggy.

Gears of war 3 was pretty Damn bad but still fun in my opinion and 4 and 5 are not even that bad and still very fun although I just hate the whole Reyna queen bullshit should of just brought back Raam as the main leader of the sawrm and only thing I really hate about the sawrm version of the Locust Horde is the swarmmakes like really just the same design with imulsion Crystals and blisters that's it come on coaltion should of been a whole new complete evolved form simlar to a Lambent version and I think the only very good gears of war campaigns are judgement and 1 and 2 3 and 4 and 5 are just flawed fun shoot em up games nothing really special at all I think them but they will never catch that same level of dark and girrty immerisve atmospheric addicting felling like judgement and 1 and 2 did.

Bringing us in the coalition timeline. They're being told like book. Which Will always come with mixed views. But there's 3 chapters (games) to gears. And I see every reason to make the coalition 3 chapters (games) to tell the story of JD and his friends. Thats my way of seeing it.
I just wish Raam was brought back as the main leader of swarm if that had happened these new games would of been a 10/10 and game of the year for me still Fucking fun though LoL.
