  • Learn about the differences between the Republican Party and the Democratic Party in the United States.
    The Democrats and Republican's are the two most popular and powerful political parties in the United States of America, but what are the differences between the Republican's and Democrats when it comes to taxation, raising the minimum wage, gun control, limit of the government and abortions?

      Democrats learned corporate corruption from the Republicans.
      Republicans learned political corruption from the Democrats.
      Political corruption is the worse because it leads to suppression and oppression of opposing viewpoints.

      But where he gets his information from somewhere could be. I do think a lot of what he said is right but it's about the far right and far left. I on the right side in my opinion but don't agree with everything. I think it's fine for gays to marry for example and it doesn't affect me at all. Not religious either. You can't put everyone in two groups and say republicans think this way.

      Thanks for watching, Heather. I didn't create this with the intention with being bias to the Democratic party, or any party - I think I probably focused more on the Democratic Party because I could find more information on them compared to the Republican's. @Richard Wieder - They have the "Equality" & "Equity" thing reversed... the democrats are communists... they use propaganda 24/7... the commie democrats use cute words like "equity" (because it sounds like "equality" but is something very different), which means a forced "equal" outcome (but I assure you not for the powerful rulers), so those who work harder will not be able to reap the reward and therefore won't work harder... the GOP is the age old "equality", which means everyone should be treated equal... think "The American Dream" where anyone can succeed.
      That is a basic, fundamental, and crucial error... You must be kinda ignorant of politics to miss that? Well at least you aren't a commie democrat, lol!
      The commies have been babbling the key word "equity" (among others) constantly for years now. Anyone who holds ANY democrat ideas as good is a fool who hasn't looked into it... if they did, they would see there is nothing there but a good sounding, virtue signaling, BS, bumper sticker slogan.

      "Spot on"? No, not at all. He missed so many REASONS that exist on the Right. i.e., Guns: Republicans believe that citizens should be able to arm themselves (if they so desire) to "defend themselves against a (rogue) tyrannical government". In case the government tries to forcibly control the people and do they harm. Abortion: unborn babies have rights of their own - Anti-abortion is meant to protect the unborn (hopefully at the same time, making people think about moral choices, like bringing children into the world without both parents (as the stats show is never good for the child, nor society). Many, many more points that this video was not clear to the uneducated.

    The problem with our parties now days is everyone wants to turn a discussion into an argument. At the end they want to walk away feeling like they won. During our Presidential debates we were more concerned with who won, rather than who's idea's were better. If we can get back to good discussions where both parties walk away learning from the other we will be better off. That doesn't mean you have to agree, but you should at least understand the other sides point/feeling. Why is that so hard?

      If you aren't aware of the fact, large numbers of Democrats in Congress are members of the European based Socialist International and have the same ideological bias towards it as the Republicans tend to have for the British Conservative Party, German Christian Democrats, and the Israeli Likud. If you've had any education in psychology as I hold a degree in you should be aware that all human beings have biases. We are all capable of misunderstanding things and making errors in our interpretations due to those biases even in relatively neutral areas of no real consequence to us much less subjects like politics or religion. One thing about people like yourself that makes it difficult for me to trust you is this tendency you have to imagine that anyone who questions your viewpoint is part of some vast right wing conspiracy unless you get DNA evidence and a confession that some politician you like was lying under oath in a sexual harassment case but blindly accept the validity of forged documents about politicians you have issues with until CBS fires Dan Rather and expect us all to believe you're unbiased. You have an over-simplistic viewpoint that can be as dangerously delusional as a Salem witch hunter's. As Sigmund Freud observed there were no two minds as similar as Nazis and Communists.

    This video is wrong a lot.
    -"Progressiveness" doesn't mean anything. Both parties can claim to be progressive for different goals.
    -The left doesn't believe in equality. They give preference to minorities, even if they are less qualified.
    -It assumes the results of lower taxes to be higher debt, when you can also lower spending?
    -He drew the American flag backwards.
    -Lowering taxes benefits everyone. Like he said, rich people invest in businesses, which creates more jobs and opportunity. Poor people have more money to invest in themselves.
    -Social programs don't always help lower income people because getting stuff you didn't earn doesn't motivate you to improve.
    - ID to vote isn't a "restriction", its just common sense.
    -Republicans have changed and are fine with same sex marriage and very early abortions where the fetus is guaranteed not to feel pain.
    Republicans value freedom and the things that made America great, and democrats want more government control and involvement trying to turn us back into the British.

      what democrats always do is play the victim card and call u prejudice if u dont agree with them. like if a pastor refuses to marry a gay couple. the pastor has the right not to. but democrats play the victim card and whine and call the church homophobic and try to make them feel bad into getting the pastor to marry the gay couple. but if the government made it a law that the pastors had to marry gay couples then it would be the church that is the victim. and of course if a republican says something reasonable and the democrats say the opposite and refuse to let the republican win, theyll keep calling the republican prejudice or get a group of ppl and start shouting "nazi go home"

    Pretty good video, although I would tweak a bit of the information regarding Republicans, or those leaning to the "right" or even quasi-Libertarians. Republicans aren't against a simple background check for weapons, although they do fear an ever-encroaching control of firearms that could lead to confiscation (as it has in other countries) The same sex marriage argument is also not entirely accurate. While many on the right have Biblical principles in their ideology, there are plenty who just don't see the government having either a role in marriage, or redefining the cultural and/or historical role of marriage. But all in good, pretty good take on each side. Now if we could just all try and get along :)

      I agree it was a pretty good take I just wished he would have explained why the elderly the poor handicapped and black people wouldn't be able to vote if we required an ID. They may be poor, old,young, black and handicapped but if they're still allowed to get and that doesn't take much effort. If you have an ID you can vote that's pretty fair and simple and should be required. They're not asking anything more than a bank would in order to cash a check I haven't heard anyone complain that they couldn't cash a stimulus check. These people still have to live and are alive so what is the problem he didn't say and he is left leaning he tried hard to be bias but he was slightly obvious though it is as pretty fair w

      Andy Dream ok so it’s hard to define these, and personally I don’t try to fit into any of them. I think it’s better to go issue to issue and see what you think. But if you do want to know, there are some politician affiliation tests online that may help you figure out where you are. There are only like 50 questions usually, and can sometimes be more tricky than other but usually are pretty basic i.e. do you support abortion? do you support gun control? things like that.
      I think once you’ve locked in your views on those, it’s much easier to choose who you are voting for. Now remember, when you are voting, 9/10 the people up there will not represent all of your views. For instance, Hillary Clinton supported harsh gun control, while Donald Trump was loose on abortion, which may have confused some Conservatives, or Clinton was loose on foreign diplomacy while Trump was harsh on China, which may have confused Liberals. What you should do is look at all of the issues, see where you line up on them, and then figure out what you think is most important to you. This is so when it’s time for you to vote, you can decide whether one candidate is better over another depending on where they stand on certain matters and if they are as vocal on issues as you are.
      For instance, if you were to vote this year, you may not like Trump’s views on immigration, but may like his views on the economy. Depending on what you think is more important, you can decide on whether he is the best candidate. If you think that deregulating the economy is more important than allowing for more immigration, then you would likely side with Trump more than if you supported immigration over the economy. It’s hard to do this, but it’s vital to be a smart voter in the US.
      You’ve got a lot of years ahead of you before your first election, so take your time and don’t be scared to change your mind on things. High school and college are important times in your life and will shape you as a person more than any other time in your life. Take time to check policies and decisions being made by leaders of each party to see if you agree so that when it comes time to vote, you know the record and beliefs held by them. Hope that helped a little.

    • @dontknow8548
      @dontknow8548 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      WhoIsFrawy so I’m going to answer a few questions for you. First republicans tend to be more of a democracy. Democrats tend to be more socialistic. There are more than the republicans and democrats there are independents, Green Party, etc., but the main parties are republican and Democrat. Somebody who is not sure what party they are in are called centrist or independents. Republicans like capitalism but democrats like more socialism type policies. In today’s American politics you can be moderate and far. Moderates are people who are in one party but not completely so far in the party. For instance moderate republicans may not oppose gay marriage but far right republicans would. For the democrats a moderate would not agree with healthcare for all but a far left democrat may like health care for all. Also the government does not decide who wins and loses in the market. It’s up to the business owner to control that. Yes people should know what a republican and Democrat is in the rest of the world because people should know what the American people stand for. Republicans are not survival of the fittest they are more like survival for there own family. For instance a republican is more likely to want to help there family before helping someone that may not have the resources. Survival of the fittest I would say is and isn’t fair to all for instance things like medical things and university is not free in America. Republicans say that the people should be responsible for there self and that they should not have to pay large amounts of taxes to pay for someone who does not have the same resources. Democrats want to place higher taxes to pay for people who don’t have the resources. Basically democrats want to take the money from the people to pay for other people who can’t and republicans want to have the money they earned and not give it to people who didn’t work for it. I’m personally a centrist who is more republican than Democrat. This video is highly biased to make the democrats look like the good guys and the republicans to look like the bad guys. I hope this helped you if you have anymore questions research them or don’t be afraid to ask!

    how voter ID can restrict people's right to vote?

    • @achondrite8466
      @achondrite8466 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Poorer people are unable to get ID or something like that. In some poorer states you actually have to go quite far away to get government issued ID's, and I mean quite far away which makes it impossible for poorer people

      TheRedPandaGamer 16 First republicans tend to be more of a democracy.

    Remember the words of Eleanor Roosevelt: "Long ago, there was a noble word, “liberal,” which derives from the word “free.” Now a strange thing happened to that word. A man named Hitler made it a term of abuse, a matter of suspicion, because those who were not with him were against him, and liberals had no use for Hitler. And then another man named McCarthy cast the same opprobrium on the word. Indeed, there was a time - a short but dismaying time - when many Americans began to distrust the word which derived from “free.” One thing we must all do. We must cherish and honor the word “free” or it will cease to apply to us. And that would be an inconceivable situation. This I know. This I believe with all my heart. If we want a free and a peaceful world, if we want to make the deserts bloom and man grow to greater dignity as a human being - WE CAN DO IT!"

    You should not be making a video on American political parties if you cannot even draw the American flag with the union facing the right way.
