Even I own an PS5 , with an big TV, I prefer Xbox because I love to swap to older games still most of the time, and that extra gamepass is just amazing with good games coming out on it, it is basicly endless gaming on an xbox console, and my PS5 in the meantime is collecting dust, but meight buy astro game if it is on sale, I was hoping for big releases with the PS5, an New Silent hill game, Uncharted 5, The last of us 3.
to be fair i have a 4k 120fps tv and its great for both story games at 60fps and also 120fps games like cod battlefield fortnite ect. its the best of both worlds if you dont wanna use a monitor
I can't believe I'm saying this, but right after i got my series S, i sold my PC and bought a laptop instead. 😂 Now i have a series X and couldn't be more happy. For me here are the reasons why it's still worth it to buy an xbox series console in 2024 and onwards. 1. Quick resume is criminally underrated. 2. Gamepass is still best thing that's ever happened to consoles. 3. Performance boost in older game titles. 4. As someone who plays a lot of racing games, Forza Motorsport and Horizon is what I always play. 5. You can find used Series X consoles for like 250-300USD now which is incredible when we talk about price to performance ratio. 6. Cloud saves also is really helpful like what Ben said. Game anywhere with your cloud saves. 7. You can find a lot of sales in digital games. I bought Tekken 7 way back when it was popular for only 6usd.
For me personally the only reason I own an Xbox series x is because I found one for half price if it wasn’t for that would have never bought one due to Microsoft not valuing the importance of physical media but since I found one for half price and even though I despise gamepass on how it destroys the market for physical games because I got it I do enjoy buying physically as it makes finding a series x game in the wild very rare which leads me to treat it as if whenever I buy a new Xbox game rather it be new or used always exciting because of how I know I’m one of the few 8% of Xbox consumers still buying physical which leads to almost every series x games value to be almost double the price of the ps5 version if your intrested search up the price of resident evil 3 remake on ps4 and then the Xbox one version you will find the ps4 version is ruffely worth $30 meanwhile the Xbox version is worth around $60 cad because no one wants to buy physical for the Xbox anyways sorry I went on a huge tangon I just really wanted to express how I don’t like gamepass because of how for a solid 50% of Xbox games it’s up in the air if the hole game is on the disc it’s self or if it’s a game like halo infinite where you have to update to play it or else it’s a paper weight. Still perfer that then no physical just because I can sell it for a dollar which is more than $0 I can get for selling a digital game. Anyways, have a good day.
What if for example all you play is the latest fifa, tekken or street fighter and are not on gamepass but have to pay 240 a year for gamepass or 120 a year for the core? Shouldn't there be a cheaper online only option just to play online and not pay for games your not interested in? I'm not trying to hate I'm a PC guy just saying there should be an option for customers who want to pay for what they want.
yep the xbox series x is really nice with game pass ultimate, quick resume, and vrr support on non-hdmi2.1 monitors. although sometimes i do wish i could swing through NYC as spidey but oh well..
Get whatever you can afford, pair it with a portable monitor and you can literally game anywhere you want. You don't need a massive 4k tv or a fancy oled gaming monitor.
Xbox is just more convenient for me as a gamer. I prefer the ecosystem, controller, Game Pass is phenomenal value. They're doing a lot of things right. But they have multiple issues in regards to marketing, communication and messaging. They need to make it very easy to understand what Xbox is and how they intend to support it in the future.
Bought series s months ago and it's so good and got dev mode which ps5 don't have and im playing now games that i never thought i will have the option to play
I have both Series X and PS5, and hands-down my XBOX gets played more, my PS5 gathers dust. I much prefer the overall experience the xbox provides, quick resume is criminally underrated in my opinion, I cannot stand having to go through boot screens on my PS5 when switching between games now. The controller is way more comfortable for me, I know this is very subjective, for me personally the Dualsense is less comfortable than even the Dualshock 4 in my hands. Also the backwards compatibility and there dedication to allowing you to bring your older titles into the future is a big selling point. I still have a strong catalogue of 360 games and there are still 360 games I want to check out, even some original Xbox games I never got to experience, same with the One generation games. For me, I really love the xbox experience and its really unfortunate that they dont get more love.

The answer is “yes “ if you want Gamepass and like to play old games and/or indie games. It’s a “No” if you want to play awesome new exclusive games. Microsoft gave up/failed at that in the beginning of the Xbox one gen and have never been able to do so since. The only reason I have a series X is because I won it through Taco Bell. The only reason I’ve kept it is for the hopes of an elder scroll six but that looks like it’s not going to be anytime soon. Might be time to sell it.

From what I read, I think You should go with the Xbox mate. I am currently transfering from PS5 to XSX because policy of Sony is awful, same as their support and customer service. Price of pro version is 2 much forcing us to pay more for things that are normal. Doing only remasters, forcing PC gamers to make accounts (if you live in country without PSN, you are done) like helldivers situation. Very disappointed, make Xbox great again!
If your games are all digital, no brainer it's the 2tb Series X. Otherwise the old series X. Just depends on if you willing to let your xbox physical media go if any.
I still think the Series S was a mistake. It’s forced development for the lowest common denominator. Look at gaming history, optional upgrades to hardware have almost never been utilised by developers, why because they want to target the most number of players as possible.
12:20 i preorder, or wait for sales and buy most games digitally now. But im not willing to digitally replace the games i do have on disc, because im looking at hundreds of dollars. Even on sale, im gonna spend more on the digital version than I spent on the disc i already have
The other point you make at the end is true. I do not own a 4K tv and most of my friends don't have 4k tv's. In fact I would bet most "common" consumers are still rocking their 10 year old 1080p tv's. Let's be real, the jump from 1080p to 4K is not mind blowing. Its not the same jump as 480 to 1080. There is no part of me that feels like I need a new panel until my tv actually dies, especially in this economy. I feel like game companies are spending a lot of energy catering to the noisy 20% of gamers who have peak rigs, when most people won't even use it. For common people, what they provide is more than enough.
What needs to happen is crossplay only being available to play on consoles. PC people should only be allowed to play other PC cheaters... I mean people.
as someone who loves handhelds and still plays most of my games on pc as long as sony refuses to play nice with windows and does not have the same features like playing some of the games on the same save on pc or having the gamepass on pc in general and being able to continue on a handheld with gamepass aswell i am gonna stick with xbox it just has too many nice features and integrations with my gaming pc and handhelds for me to use playstation
Hey Ben can you do a video on the Xbox remix controller with the rechargeable battery it’s on Amazon for 54 pound and looks pretty good with the grips and the the battery and the colour
3:00 "Not many major games dropped on PlayStation platform not worth talking about" Helldivers players sighing and slightly baffled 3:22 "Not really that many accessories" Made PSVR 2 Official adapter for PC kinder big right cause it far more affordable PC VR headset now rather than an index or quest 3 (without latency/compression issues) BTW love your content but just throwing a few a pointers pls no hate
PlayStation gamers didn’t even buy Helldivers 2 without pc that game woulda died hard if Sony was smart they’d port it on Xbox because it would perform well on there as that game more appeals to Xbox fans than Sony fans
Not sure if I missed the point of this video but what I took from it is buy an Xbox with game pass and also a £500+ handheld like an ROG ally and the Xbox is class. I'll admit I'll always pick PlayStation because I love the exclusives (GOW is my favourite series of games and I love Ghost of Tsushima. Most people don't have the handheld though. I mean if you like xbox get it I honestly don't think there is a right or wrong answer and game pass is infinitely better than PlayStation premium
All depends on what your personal needs are, couple of cheap Xbox one x's or series s's for a portable set up like a modded gaems case like I have or for guest rooms, arcade room, lending console for friends you wana play with but who cant afford a PC or consoles themselves. Just depends
So you can make a pc for around 500 and be able to play every Xbox game alot of ps games and emulation and gamepass objectively a pc with the same budget as the Xbox series X will outperform do more and play more if you want to upgrade you don't need to spend another 500 to upgrade like you would on the consoles if your on a tight budget then I would say the series s or just save for abit
Xbox putting their games on ps isn’t a power play or them being cocky, it’s the same as what went on with Sega, their consoles were failing and they knew it so they just stopped making consoles and stuck to just games, they’re just getting ready for when they no longer have any consoles on the market and no this isn’t me being an Xbox hater, I’ve always had Xbox and always preferred Xbox over ps but it’s just a bit obvious especially when u look at the Xbox series x|s sales compared to the ps5
Xbox series x/s sales are reportedly less than half of ps5's, with Microsoft on track for a repeat of PS4 vs Xbone. In other words Xbox has lost the console war again this generation 👍👍
@@aganbraganca4156 yes, the switch sold a ton more consoles due to its lower cost and a strong lineup of Nintendo 1st party true exclusive titles. Sony needs to get back to the basics because the PS5 could have sold more consoles if it had more must play exclusive games. We should have had a new twisted metal, days gone 2, resistance, infamous, kill zone and some rpgs like legend of dragon by now. Man I love the that dang PlayStation! Everything about it is so cool! Xbox is just simply the better deal. Microsoft just gives you more for the same amount of money if not less, but you sacrifice the cooler looking console and the much better accessories Sony offers. All the Xbox accessories SUCK
Why not buy both a Xbox and PS5, even if you're a die hard PS guy I would at least say buy the Series S that's the gateway console into Xbox. If you can afford it I would recommend getting the Series X Disc so you can buy old games for cheap. You have alot of backwards compatibility on Xbox
Series consoles are backward compatible, series X has disc drive, has fast return to the games facility... PC dont have any of those key features of Xbox consoles. So, Xbox it is. Also GP Ultimate is better for consoles, pc dont have any xbox360 legendary games in it. Also Xbox gamers actually buys and owns lots of games. I own 600 Xbox console games, so should I just throw them away and buy gaming laptop with no games instead?! I already own Series consoles so not gonna buy new ones but those who dont, should! There is also Series S 1TB you can get it 300$ or cheaper, I bought one for 200$. Much cheaper than gaming laptop and cost same as ps5 pro DISCDRIVE alone here in Nordic countries😂 Xbox is the best platform to be a gamer.
Exclusive games are an overrated, old-fashioned, and reductive idea in the gaming industry. The real advantages of a gaming platform are its *services* Why did the Switch take off? Because it has Zelda? Nope, the Wii U had Zelda. The Switch took off because of its capability as a console and handheld, i.e. "hardware services", its unique capabilities irrespective of its gaming library. Why is Steam the de-facto platform on PC? Not because of exclusive games! Epic Games Store had exclusivity on Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Star Wars Outlaws, Alan Wake 2, and indies e.g. Kena Bridge of Spirits, Tchia, Solar Ash, etc. And yet, people wait insistently for those to come to Steam. Because of the Steam services and ecosystem. So when those same people claim they chose a PS5 because of the exclusive games, time to call bullshit. It's popular to say exclusives sell consoles and popular to dog on Game Pass despite the rampant hypocrisy involved in doing so. Consoles / gaming platforms set themselves apart by their services. And if you ask me, Xbox has the best services. Quick Resume (aka instant save states), cloud saves, cross saves, backwards compatibility program, and Game Pass are among the best services on any gaming platform. So when Indy / X game gets announced for PS5, no difference to me, I would rather play it on Xbox!
If you don’t have a PC, then, yes. They haven’t put halo, Forza, gears of war and Starfield on PS yet. You also get the games on game pass day one, I didn’t even have to pay 70 bucks for call of duty this year. Xbox is just better for the wallet.
@@shayshalevv people on PlayStation have to buy madden for $70 versus we get it through Gamepass. Yeah, I’m definitely glad now I can get CoD through GamePass, it would be cool if they brought all the older cods to Game Pass as well. Might bring back some livelihood to the older games.

Or or , hi I'm phil Spencer I want to make money for the company I work for by not locking all our games to our platform. Both Sony and Nintendo should be taking notes.

You are smart to explain 1080p v 4k etc
I don't have one yet, but only because I've been waiting for the next Gears of War game
Biggest reason to get the console for me is that some of my favourite games are only on the XBOX OG, 360 and Series. Im done with trying emulation
what do i do im saving for the new 2tb series x
should i buy that or the old 1tb series x
Get the 2tb,extra storage never hurt anyone.
@@phantasma9391 that sounds good
Old 1 tb has disc drive..if u buy physical game discs, then old 1 tb is no brainer
If your games are all digital, no brainer it's the 2tb Series X. Otherwise the old series X.
Just depends on if you willing to let your xbox physical media go if any.
@@1080ilowres i mean i play 3 games only and they cover about 400gb so i guess 1tb is good
I still think the Series S was a mistake. It’s forced development for the lowest common denominator. Look at gaming history, optional upgrades to hardware have almost never been utilised by developers, why because they want to target the most number of players as possible.
I own a Series X, but they NEED to release the normal Series X in Robot White
Peeshee
Does anyone think the X galaxy or white XSX will be on sale for Black Friday or should I just preorder it now?
White is on sale $399.99 right now.
Good points
as someone who loves handhelds and still plays most of my games on pc
as long as sony refuses to play nice with windows and does not have the same features like playing some of the games on the same save on pc or having the gamepass on pc in general
and being able to continue on a handheld with gamepass aswell
i am gonna stick with xbox
it just has too many nice features and integrations with my gaming pc and handhelds for me to use playstation
Hey Ben can you do a video on the Xbox remix controller with the rechargeable battery it’s on Amazon for 54 pound and looks pretty good with the grips and the the battery and the colour
3:00 "Not many major games dropped on PlayStation platform not worth talking about"
Helldivers players sighing and slightly baffled
3:22 "Not really that many accessories"
Made PSVR 2 Official adapter for PC kinder big right cause it far more affordable PC VR headset now rather than an index or quest 3 (without latency/compression issues)
BTW love your content but just throwing a few a pointers pls no hate
Helldivers was an Xbox exclusive lol
PlayStation gamers didn’t even buy Helldivers 2 without pc that game woulda died hard if Sony was smart they’d port it on Xbox because it would perform well on there as that game more appeals to Xbox fans than Sony fans
I want one but due to the strikes and how strict Xbox gotten I will wait for a PC to use Mods.. custom build $1500.00
If Xbox makes a handheld like the PlayStation has I’d cop in a heartbeat
The only reason I bought an Xbox was for Microsoft Flight Simulator
I love the kitchen set
You look like that dude out of the band mcfly😊
Mr Ben Rowland may i please have your xbox series s please i wanna try out next gen gaming so bad
I am a new owner for Xbox and am enjoying it
I'm new to xbox. But can series s play the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds guys?
Don't know, but I'm gonna assume yes, just not in 4k
so anyway gt4 good car or no? :DX
The question you should have asked is should you be buying a console in 2024. I mean all the games are coming on pc
And a Steam Deck has better game availability than the Xbox ecosystem on the go imho.
All depends on what your personal needs are, couple of cheap Xbox one x's or series s's for a portable set up like a modded gaems case like I have or for guest rooms, arcade room, lending console for friends you wana play with but who cant afford a PC or consoles themselves. Just depends
Must people are casual players which prefer console
Must pc gamers are try hards
Not all 💀
for 200$ you can star gamming on xbox series s. Cant compare that to pc.
In other words Xbox has lost the console war again this generation 👍👍
and ps5 lost to nintendo switch
@@aganbraganca4156 yes, the switch sold a ton more consoles due to its lower cost and a strong lineup of Nintendo 1st party true exclusive titles. Sony needs to get back to the basics because the PS5 could have sold more consoles if it had more must play exclusive games. We should have had a new twisted metal, days gone 2, resistance, infamous, kill zone and some rpgs like legend of dragon by now. I am baffled that games like the last of us part one is being sold for 69.99! that game came out back on the PS3 and it's time to move on!!
I currently have a tv capable of 4k hdr 10 gaming and it was pretty cheap, looks great tho
Got both use my S 95% of the time if I had know that I would have just stayed with the s.
No..........30FPS for "next gen" is a scam. Just save $600-900 and get a decent 1080p PC. PC gamepass is cheap and you can find game deals
What game is at 30FPS on the Series X, not Starfield anymore.
1tb series S for 299 with blu ray.. thatd be a maybe to upgrade from one x
0:08 not all the exclusives, the way you talk here is misleading
i also only purchased elden ring and re4 remake xbox is awesome with gamepass
NO ( i sold my series s ) back on playstation… ps5 better because you get all the good exclusives.
I Got One A Series X Almost New At A Pawn Shop For A Good Price Gamepass Just Fine
Gamepass yes, console is subjective to circumstances
I just picked up a xbox series X up in June and im enjoying it
Yes,, just to play Genshin Impact and ZZZ (coming later)
Yes. Interestingly, Series s is the best of the bunch for the money. I have all 3. Ps4 is actually holding this generation back
So is the series s
@@kzfiveits not it’s actually saving it for the budget pcs and handhelds
they arent making games for ps4 and series s is actually holding generation back
@@aganbraganca4156 they are making games in PS4, why do people even have their PS4 still?

Its worth it to buy an Xbox in 2024
16:30 thats true and what is more some even don´t have smart TV-then Xbox comes handy with browser, TH-cam, Netflix, Blu-ray drive...I have old 1080p TV and Series X is a good pick.
Well nothing 2 make me switch sides
Don't flex your car bro😂😂😂😂😂
Man I love the that dang PlayStation! Everything about it is so cool! Xbox is just simply the better deal. Microsoft just gives you more for the same amount of money if not less, but you sacrifice the cooler looking console and the much better accessories Sony offers.
All the Xbox accessories SUCK
No definitely not, I don't think I would buy a PS5 at this point I would go straight to PC.
Pls I really need a consle if you wil want to where I am I am in Ghana
Yea this guy is rich! 😮 GT4!!
Why not buy both a Xbox and PS5, even if you're a die hard PS guy I would at least say buy the Series S that's the gateway console into Xbox. If you can afford it I would recommend getting the Series X Disc so you can buy old games for cheap. You have alot of backwards compatibility on Xbox
ps5 + series s is probably the way to go this generation, if you get them used it will probably cost 550$ for both.
@@shayshalevv even a Series X and PS5 Disc, the Xbox you can play old Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox one games. Plus you get more power than the series S.
Xbox has potential but they just gave up
Yes
Yes please do buy an Xbox in 2024
Series S is my favourite 😊
I think you should buy an original xbox in 2024 😏
Exclusive games are an overrated, old-fashioned, and reductive idea in the gaming industry. The real advantages of a gaming platform are its *services*
Why did the Switch take off?
I'll answer the question way quicker than the video does. The answer is...no.
If you don’t have a PC, then, yes. They haven’t put halo, Forza, gears of war and Starfield on PS yet.
You also get the games on game pass day one, I didn’t even have to pay 70 bucks for call of duty this year.
Xbox is just better for the wallet.
@@matthew6987 if not for free cod i probably would have switched to ps5 by now haha
@@shayshalevv stop with this cod is not free you pay $20 monthly and its just trash repeated shit
@@matthew6987there’s way more than that not on PlayStation tbh PlayStation only has 3-4 Xbox games currently well I guess 5 since Indy is goin but that’s timed exclusive so if you count FF as PS exclusive then it’s definitely Xbox exclusive
Short answer….. NO.
Pc
Nintendo switch
Or ps5
Yes plus Game Pass
i think if you want the most fps then get xbox s
No, grabbing a pc is easier. Both consoles are not doing so well.
Thing is consoles are cheaper

Two words game pass
Not all dummy, fh5?
The only games that are or have gone to PS are games that are already on PS.
I can't believe you would actually say this. You must have heard of gamepass by now. Sony players are paying Microsoft. Why would that be an option when you can get them all day one in a service which is cheaper than Sony's alternative? Makes no sense. My advise is play on whichever one you like best.
