Both somehow work together because as humans they like/respect each other, and that might just be most critical.

Jordan is super interesting and intelligent. On his own he would seem fairly normal, maybe a little quirky. But Conan plays off of him so well. Comedy gold!
He’s so unnervingly at ease with explaining himself. You get the feeling that he would feel just as matter of fact while giving a tutorial on how you chop up a body in the cleanest way possible.

These guys are one of the best comedic duo. And they are clearly very good friends. They care for each other and its showing even if its not articulated. Class act.

5:22 It's interesting to see how in Jordan's perspective, we realize the divide between television and reality. In his eyes, his boss came over to make fun of him (affectionately) and joke around, after which he goes back to work. In Conan's eyes, it is something else as with remotes he shoots with intent to capture moments of comedy explicitly. Both somehow work together because as humans they like/respect each other, and that might just be most critical.
Conan’s sighs of exasperation about Jordan gives me life. Can we just have Jordan on the podcast when filling episodes? Because, we the people live for this. His straight man is unmatched.

The difference Conan is trying to be funny and Jordan isn’t but they are both hilarious.
I appreciate that Jordan isn’t playing a character and really is Jordan. He’s learnt more human emoting which is also heartening. Jordan helps me want to be more unapologetically myself.
He is playing a character. Watch some of these podcasts without Conan. He is very different and doesn’t act like this. It’s a shtick with him and Conan.

I love seeing Jordan in this format. You can tell that he is being completely transparent, whereas the remotes it always seemed like it was put on to some degree which it was.

Given the fact that they are part of his skits, it behooves him to give them as much free reign as possible to create entertaining situations. So, in a way they are collaborators, they are the "straight man" of a comedic trope. Hopefully he compensated them for it.
