Passive aggressiveness is when someone makes snarky comments in an attempt to annoy you without making it outright mean enough for you to legit get angry at it. It's so that they can have plausible deniability if you clap back. Jordan is just directly hostile but he will say these things in the most calm and soft spoken manner that you don't know how to react lmao

      yes I have a friend like this. it's very annoying sometimes. He loves to correct people with some obscure encyclopedia fact, always tries to be as accurately spoken as possible and always tries to inject something about Japan into things (cause he loves Japan as Jordan loves Italy)

    I have to say that Conan and Jordan are one of the most unlikely comedy duos of all time. They just play perfectly off of each other, and their personality clashes are somehow the glue that holds it all together.

      I think it's cos dynamic makes them both the straight man and comic throughout the conversation.

    5:22 It's interesting to see how in Jordan's perspective, we realize the divide between television and reality. In his eyes, his boss came over to make fun of him (affectionately) and joke around, after which he goes back to work. In Conan's eyes, it is something else as with remotes he shoots with intent to capture moments of comedy explicitly. Both somehow work together because as humans they like/respect each other, and that might just be most critical.

      Given the fact that they are part of his skits, it behooves him to give them as much free reign as possible to create entertaining situations. So, in a way they are collaborators, they are the "straight man" of a comedic trope. Hopefully he compensated them for it.
