    I echo others' sentiments about Spork. What a great dog. :-) Love the videos. When I crossed Georgia Pass, it was filled with fog and nothing was visible. Nice to see a clear view!

      The trail has been great so far - nothing terribly steep, all pretty smooth.. we’re being spoiled for sure

    Wow, I had a toy Manchester when I was in elementary school. I had that as my first thought but they are so rare.

    nice job. I did nobo CW last summer, starting at Monarch and finished in Breck. Look forward to seeing you next section video. The climb up out of Copper is a beast!

    Love the videos. I noticed in your last video it looked like you were hiking in sandals, is that something new? What brand if so and how are they working out?

    • @JulianaChauncey
      @JulianaChauncey  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yeah they're fairly new - Bedrock Sandals.. just getting them out on trail a bit to see how my feet like them... so far, so good!

    Ok....I am officially in love with Spork. When will he have his own channel? Possible name:" The View of the CT from 12 Inches High". (Sorry, Spork, if I have your height wrong.) Great section of the CT. How creative of the bicyclists to let you know what to be ready for. Good system! And Kent is such a nice guy. He is a kind soul. Good with sunscreen lotion, too. :-)

    can you get a shuttle to take you to the Kenosha pass from copper mountain. I was thinking about doing section 6 & 7. Parking at copper mountain and getting a ride to the start of segment 6.

    Do you guys park 2 cars? I'm in the Springs and want to start doing some sections, especially Hope Pass just by itself. Awesome views on this section, I've been the most excited about this one for the views and the porcini hunting!!! Safe travels

      @JulianaChauncey  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah we usually drive up Thursday nights to leave a car at the end and then drive up again Friday night to hike... a bit of an annoying process

    The dogs are Good Times Adventures. That is an very light snow pack for this time of year.

    You should bring along some folded up aluminum foil. It has lots of uses like as a lid for your cook pot or a dog water dish.

    I am still looking forward to seeing you back on the PCT!!! Maybe tough on the little guy or should we say it will be tough on you guys to carry him in the Sierras.

    • @JulianaChauncey
      @JulianaChauncey  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Spork won’t be coming to the Sierra unfortunately ... coordinating what to do with him through the national parks as well as the amount of miles we want to do a day wouldn’t be fun for him

    • @stepheneikmeier1866
      @stepheneikmeier1866 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I told you before but I will say it again, the section between Whitney and Kearsarge Pass is the most beautiful section. The rest is great too, but just saying. Too bad for Mr. Spork. That's a lot of miles with those tiny little legs. Probably does 4 miles for one of yours!!! But he is fast.

    • @JulianaChauncey
      @JulianaChauncey  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can’t wait - only a month and a half left!

    • @stepheneikmeier1866
      @stepheneikmeier1866 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That will be here before you know it. Will you be finished with the CT? Good time, less mosquitoes and thunderstorms.

    • @JulianaChauncey
      @JulianaChauncey  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately, no. I’m trying to get out there as many weekends as I can, but with only 6 left between now and the Sierra it looks like the CT is going to go into September and October ... it’s great training though!

    You guys have to hit up Piante Pizza on the way to starting seg 7. Or whenever you're back in Breck. Not sure if you're vegan or not but it's damn good pizza no matter what. You're welcome.

    • @JulianaChauncey
      @JulianaChauncey  6 ปีที่แล้ว
