Tough going through the snow! We've always seen Georgia Pass as a graduation from all things Front Range as you transition to points beyond. Great video, can't wait for the next one!
Nice work on day 2! That's some serious mileage with a 40 lb pack! 💪🏻 Did you carry Remy's sleeping pad or did you go without this time? I missed the 'airplane Remy'! ✈🐕😂 I literally thought "paw-holing" as well! 🤣 Loved this video!!!
So I've started carrying Remy's pad because of his new pack. The Remy-plane didn't keep balanced as well with the pack design so I kept having to stop to adjust it. Now it's a lot better. 6.6 oz is added to my pack but then I'm putting the water filters and first aid kits in his pack. About 2 lbs each side so 4 lbs total weight for him.
Copper Spur HVUL 2 Bikepack. Didn’t get my Dragonfly back and they won’t have any until 2022! I ordered another Dragonfly from Amazon but on back order so not sure when I’ll actually get it.
NEMO responded today that they did have an available tent in stock and hopefully can get it out to me this week! Should have it then for my upcoming videos...
@@dazdarren9926 I am still going back and forth...I think for these longer backpacking trips w/ Remy yes. The space at the bottom where he sleeps is better because the base is longer and I love where all the pockets are located. It's also lighter and fits better in a 4L stuff sack. But Copper Spur is definitely more spacious by volume and easier to set up.
@@HelloWorld-zg3gs for this Seg and elevation you’re probably in at low 40s to high 30s. Any time after Labor Day you’re at risk for a big, wet snow storm but the news will definitely being covering it. In 2020, that area was hit hard with over a foot of snow but the last couple of years it’s been fine.
Amazing content and editing! Well done. Liked and subscribed. It looks like we have similar content, i hope maybe youd be interested in being youtube buddies?
I’m glad I’m not the only one that struggled on that second hill, it’s definitely a butt kicker. Congrats on your first big day on trail!
Thanks Bailey!
Yay, good weather, and no blowdown? Glad to see your progress! The views look beautiful, and the trail looks good.
No tough blow downs this time! Just the snowpack was the tough part.

Can I use that line in my next video?! I love that idea. "We have now graduated from the Front Range to the beautiful Sawatch Range..."
@@GIRLplusDOGAdventures, absolutely!

Great videos. FYI the CDT actually exits south from the CT at mile 5.8 in segment 24 before Molas Pass.
Thanks for the info! I didn't exactly where it split off from the CT.
Great music
Which tent were you using?

@@GIRLplusDOGAdventures Oh cool! Overall do you prefer the Nemo over the Copper Spur?

Which month did you hike this?
Seg 6 I hiked in mid-June. Expected some snow pack but ended up being a lot more than expected that year.
@@GIRLplusDOGAdventures I’m hiking that segment in early September. Any thoughts on the low temperatures I might expect? Any snowfall possible?

23+ miles in a day AND postholeing? Just watching made me tired!
Amazing how far you can push yourself! I just pretended I was the Hulk at moments to work through a lot of the snow.
