@@dk-ln6om . You are not right. Once you drive an EV you will not want to drive any ICE car or CNG car. I agree that at present EV cars are only for city driving and hence it should be your second car
Switching to an electric vehicle (EV) instead of a petrol car depends on several factors. Here are some key points to consider when deciding whether to go for an EV: 1. Environmental Impact EVs: Produce zero emissions during operation, reducing carbon footprint and helping combat air pollution. Petrol Cars: Emit CO2 and other harmful pollutants, contributing to global warming and environmental degradation. 2. Fuel Costs EVs: Charging is typically cheaper than fueling a petrol car. Depending on local electricity prices, EVs often cost less to run per mile. Petrol Cars: Fuel prices are generally higher and can fluctuate based on global oil markets. 3. Maintenance EVs: Fewer moving parts (no engine oil, less brake wear), resulting in lower maintenance costs. Petrol Cars: Require more frequent maintenance (oil changes, engine repairs, etc.). 4. Initial Cost EVs: Tend to have a higher upfront cost, though government incentives and tax rebates can offset this in some regions. Petrol Cars: Generally more affordable upfront, but costs can add up over time with fuel and maintenance. 5. Charging Infrastructure EVs: Need access to charging stations. If charging infrastructure is well-developed in your area (home or workplace charging), this can be a convenient option. Petrol Cars: Petrol stations are widespread and convenient, but the cost of fuel is higher. 6. Driving Range EVs: Have a limited range per charge (typically between 200-400 km), but this is improving with newer models. Petrol Cars: Have a higher range, and refueling is quicker than recharging an EV. 7. Resale Value EVs: Resale values can vary, but as the technology becomes more common, they are expected to hold value better over time. Petrol Cars: Historically have stable resale value, though with EV adoption rising, this might change in the future. 8. Government Policies In some countries, governments are pushing for a shift toward EVs by offering incentives or mandating phase-outs of petrol cars in the future. Local policies could play a role in your decision. If you're looking for long-term sustainability, lower running costs, and are in an area with a growing charging infrastructure, EVs could be a better option. However, if upfront cost or charging access is a concern, a petrol car may still be a viable choice for the time being.

Hi, please make a video on CNG cars who starts on cng like Tata punch. Is it OK to run your car on cng only because Tata punch starts on cng, use cng as a fuel. Than many people think why runs car on petrol. Is it OK to never use petrol???
You did not follow social media especially tata motors right. Tata has recently claimed what you get actuall range from evs that is 300 km which you already getting. 465 km are a testing cycle that are conducted by Gov agency ARAI.
and like the video states, now you cant even think of a resale option, you are stuck with a car you dont like and dont want to drive, that was the goal it seems from the start :)
Govt and a handfull of carmakers have themselves decided that EVs are better for the customers without asking the customer. But i think for a country like India, Alternative fuels and Hybrids are a more better and viable option. Govt is only pushing for EVs with no decent ev infrastructure. I will always go for Petrol, Hybrids or Cngs. Also i dont like the way govt is trying to kill the diesel segment by implementing such euro standards..
1. Batter price reductions needed 2. Battery technology need to improve 3. Big trusted players like Maruti and Toyota is not going to enter the market till then less ppl going to buy 4. Range need to improve 5. Partially removable and replaceable battery option should be available on road Till these things getting sorted out govt should reduce tax on hybrids 😊
EV is the future. And price drop is an obvious plan and sensible, otherwise, who would pay such extra amount when they can buy MG windsor at just 10L? So TATA, in order to be competitive, it was an obvious play.
My personal advice is . Life of battery is 2000 to 3000 charging cycles depending on type of battery .. i.e the batery can last from 4 lakh kilometers to 5 lakh kms .. if I purchase XUV 400 today at a discount of 3 lakh rs . And use this car for next 10 to 15 years and drive it for nearly 2. 5 lakh kilometers . I will save rs 12.5 lakh / in diesel if the price of diesel remains same as of today.. and. Nearly rs 17 lakh if compared with petrol vehicle .. I will buy XUV 400 ... As it will save a lot of money and also this cars is automatic. Have all disc brakes have hill hold feature and many more ... I have a Kia seltos diesel automatic which is of rs 19 lakh on road .. and running cost is rs 6 per kilometer. And if I buy ev at discount price it will cost rs 15 lakh and will save lot of money in running
Absolutely true, all you tubers are misguiding the public, as an ev owner I can see the benefit for last 2 years and will strongly recommend for city use..it's worth it....
Are you completely writing off the vehicle after 5 years? Zero resale value! Best is set up an SIP with half the money saved every month..and have some money to buy your next car
Bhai, 5 lakh km tak battery chalegi hi nahin. Moreover you'll get tired of the same vehicle for 15 years. Fatigue will start with first major repair or service ! Especially AC issues.
EV car has many problems 1. Cost is two times high, subsidy is very less 2. They also pollute the environment a lot during manufacture, even more than petrol/diesel cars. 3. No resale value 4. Charging time is more 5. During big traffic jams with AC working the battery may drain out completely . 6. A Sudden journey planning may not be possible.
E v has 100 negative sides 1. High buying price 2. Inavaibility of charging station while driving away from home 3. Chances of sort Circuit 4. Lowest resale value 5. Dependence on dealer on malfunction 6. Batteries are to be purchased at high price when finished 8. After few years when the battery is going down its pick up and torque is questionable 9. Battery company will wait and watch in its R&D cell for further improvement 10. Battery dealers will think over and over their stocks 11. If petrol diesal prices are down, since OPEC will not feel good if demand for petrol goes down as people are opting for EV. They will keep prices down for several years so that demand of if EV doesn't increase. Still world is enough of oil deposits. 12. Government promots EV only for their own short term gain. But in long run government will have to loss lot of taxes and problems related toindustriies. 13. The ancillary automobile industries shares more than in overall automobile sector than what vehicle manufacturing companies industries. 14. If everyone goes for EV ,there will be a issue of electricity. Government will have to cut forest and hills which again will be a problem . 15. Disposing of damaged batteries and semicoductor chips will create enviromental problem 16. Government thinks that if dependency of petrol and Diesel is finished they don't require to rely on oil exporting nation. But this will initiate new geopolitical tension because if oil is not purchased how these countries will maintain their economy. Oh I m fed up with my negative thoughts But there are still many micro level problems which are more serious than those which are already mentioned
Still evs can give you range anxiety, don't ever go by the range claimed by the manufacturer, in real world you will get only half of the claimed range

Yes there are flaws in Nexon, not just in Automatic version. I have top end manual Petrol car 4 years old. Even I faced the leg side heating issue during 1st year. When I complained they didn't accept it as the problem. Solution for that is run the AC at 23 or 24 during the starting of the car, after sometime when feel normal or cold, you can increase temperature. I followed it. And I was not seeing this issue anymore in last 3 years. And reason behind this is AC ducts to be kept cold so you don't get Hot air when AC is ON.
Long term viability needs to be reviewed… Battery itself is 40-50% of the cost of the entire car. Plus components that go into the battery lithium, cobalt, iron, etc needs to be mined out of the soil, using high powered diesel engines. The refinement is also done in factories. Plus long term exposure to these minerals causes cancer. Where’s the so called CLEAN & GREEN mobility.
Not only the battery and components of the battery. The battery life, resale value, battery disposal - this will cause huge environmental damage. Also see what’s happening in the US and European countries. People have realised and are switching back to ice, hybrid etc.
Are you living under the rock? Are you blind to the 8 billion tonnes of oil extracted, refined , transported in dirty diesel ships only to be burned once...yea once in your 20% efficient "engine" and then do that again. You aren't even aware that cobalt isnused to remove sulphur from Petrol? The LFP chemistry used on most EVs in India are over 90% recyclable but chose to ignore as it doesn't suit your narritive. Please educate your self before your embarrass yourself any further. Do a favor please stick to ICE...your bread and butter
No clarity on future of ev cars because of not enough charging stations and scare of spending very big amount replace battery after few years, budget user cant take that much risk to spend lot of amount on battery after few years 😂
New economical advanced batteries are being developed and the batteries renewal will certainly be cheaper in any case. Charging will also be convenient process. Night charging because of wind and hydro electric power generation will be also an option. And ultimately one has to workout the costing on 8 years basis. At present we are buying and using diesel cars on 10 years life basis. And people are happy with this option.
Running cost savings for EV = ₹5-6/km. If monthly running = 1500 km and fuel efficiency in city = 12 kmpl, then petrol cost today = ₹ 12,000/month. Yearly cost = ₹1.4 lakhs and in 8 yrs total petrol cost = ₹11.2 lakhs. If battery replacement cost = ₹5 lakhs, then I will buy EV cars. Petrol cost will continue to increase in future, so EV makes economic sense. Reliability of EV cars should improve over time.
for those who are worried about 8 year of warranty just calculate the fuel, service and other cost you are going to save on EV. let suppose in 8 year a person drive it's car 50,000km and save 7 rupes average on a km he's gonna save around 3.5lk just on the fuel, and i didn't added the money you save on engine oil filters and many more things.. and if we talk about future india has found it own lithium resources and i hope very soon india will start extracting and manufacturing lithium product which gonna reduce the battery price's for sure.
@@IndiraChavva . Battery cost is coming down daily. But still EV industry is only a few years old. From 8 lacs it has already come down to 4lacs . So it may be around 1 lac or so

EVs would not be flop once sodium ion batteries comes into market. As market going to evolve, same EV as well. Whenever new product comes into market, it needs some time to stabilize in a way cost, quality, technology. So guys, give more time, I believe, it will come evolve with a bang. You will regret if not considering EV in future
Before giving subsidies, govt. shud have mandated a common charging socket and plug for all EVs and a govt. app which shows all the charging facilities around a location and mandated every facility to register on that app. I still think, the problem is not with the concept of EVs per say but lack of preparedness both on the part of govt. and car manufacturers; the pathetic and grossly inadequate R&D done by car companies before introducing EVs making them utterly unreliable!
What about long tour ??? 200km jao ....fir 2 ghonta ruko....fir jao 😂......aur cars are least source of pollution.......factories are the biggest source.......what about it ?????
Also an aspect not shared here. An EV loses it capability in extreme temperatures. Battery depletes quickly or didn't charge as standard time. India is the country if extreme Temperatures hot and cold also.
Every new product must face teething problems. As the times fly, technology will get updated and indigenous technology will enter in a big way. At least metro cities should switch over to EVs and government should give some extra push with attractive subsidy. Remember, more than half of the city pollution is contributed by cars. With the winter conditions, Delhi becomes a Gas Chamber. Put pressure on manufacturers so that they put more attention to R&D internally. Another government initiative should be allowing roadside dabhas and tea centers to have charging facilities under mudra loan etc. charging facilities are a concern for EVs presently.
Petrol Pumps, Bus Depots, Parking lots etc. sab jagah jab tak ev chargers install nahi hote tab tak public tension leke ev chalaayega which is called as range anxiety. EVs ke liye reserved parking honi chahiye. Commercial Chargers ke rates mehenge hai

I don't think EVs will be a flop. Whatever you have said is correct. But still I am in love with my EV prime for it's easiness to drive, for it's sound less interior environment and the best lack of vibrations of engine. Today I drove for 3 hours continuously but was not tired at all. Fast chargers are coming. I have already saved 4.5 lacs on fuel in last 3.5 years. I bought the car for 14.25 lacs ( as compared to ICE automatic for 12.5 lacs.

Switching to an electric vehicle (EV) instead of a petrol car depends on several factors. Here are some key points to consider when deciding whether to go for an EV:
1. Environmental Impact
EVs: Produce zero emissions during operation, reducing carbon footprint and helping combat air pollution.
Petrol Cars: Emit CO2 and other harmful pollutants, contributing to global warming and environmental degradation.
2. Fuel Costs
EVs: Charging is typically cheaper than fueling a petrol car. Depending on local electricity prices, EVs often cost less to run per mile.
Petrol Cars: Fuel prices are generally higher and can fluctuate based on global oil markets.
3. Maintenance
EVs: Fewer moving parts (no engine oil, less brake wear), resulting in lower maintenance costs.
Petrol Cars: Require more frequent maintenance (oil changes, engine repairs, etc.).
4. Initial Cost
EVs: Tend to have a higher upfront cost, though government incentives and tax rebates can offset this in some regions.
Petrol Cars: Generally more affordable upfront, but costs can add up over time with fuel and maintenance.
5. Charging Infrastructure
EVs: Need access to charging stations. If charging infrastructure is well-developed in your area (home or workplace charging), this can be a convenient option.
Petrol Cars: Petrol stations are widespread and convenient, but the cost of fuel is higher.
6. Driving Range
EVs: Have a limited range per charge (typically between 200-400 km), but this is improving with newer models.
Petrol Cars: Have a higher range, and refueling is quicker than recharging an EV.
7. Resale Value
EVs: Resale values can vary, but as the technology becomes more common, they are expected to hold value better over time.
Petrol Cars: Historically have stable resale value, though with EV adoption rising, this might change in the future.
8. Government Policies
In some countries, governments are pushing for a shift toward EVs by offering incentives or mandating phase-outs of petrol cars in the future.

Don’t buy ev. No resale including from manufacturer. Tata quotes 400 km on nexon max. Never even seen 290+
And no resale. Stuck with it no good
You did not follow social media especially tata motors right. Tata has recently claimed what you get actuall range from evs that is 300 km which you already getting. 465 km are a testing cycle that are conducted by Gov agency ARAI.
Did you buy because you wanted to buy Tata ka Desh ka loha ? Then you deserve this !
I m having Tiago ev , so true sir , very problematic car. Sir kindly meet to tata official to convey our problem sir.
and like the video states, now you cant even think of a resale option, you are stuck with a car you dont like and dont want to drive, that was the goal it seems from the start :)
Can you elaborate on the problems you are facing?
Govt and a handfull of carmakers have themselves decided that EVs are better for the customers without asking the customer. But i think for a country like India, Alternative fuels and Hybrids are a more better and viable option. Govt is only pushing for EVs with no decent ev infrastructure. I will always go for Petrol, Hybrids or Cngs. Also i dont like the way govt is trying to kill the diesel segment by implementing such euro standards..
1. Batter price reductions needed
2. Battery technology need to improve
3. Big trusted players like Maruti and Toyota is not going to enter the market till then less ppl going to buy
4. Range need to improve
5. Partially removable and replaceable battery option should be available on road
Till these things getting sorted out govt should reduce tax on hybrids 😊
True, people are overlooking other benifits of EV like NVH levels, power delivery It's better to buy ev if running is below 200kms.
Absolutely true, all you tubers are misguiding the public, as an ev owner I can see the benefit for last 2 years and will strongly recommend for city use..it's worth it....
Ev not simple as you told
Are you completely writing off the vehicle after 5 years?
Zero resale value!
Best is set up an SIP with half the money saved every month..and have some money to buy your next car
Bhai, 5 lakh km tak battery chalegi hi nahin.
Moreover you'll get tired of the same vehicle for 15 years. Fatigue will start with first major repair or service ! Especially AC issues.
Is 10 year old diesel car going to be allowed in NCR? Some channels are saying it will happen very soon.
If second hand ev car is cheaper..then we can buy it and replace with a new battery and use it..will this be a good Idea
Sir which is better EV or Diesel or Hybrid
Biggest issue being range is 20-30% less from the claimed one by companies which leads to range anxiety for an user.
Tour all points are useless.

E v has 100 negative sides
1. High buying price
2. Inavaibility of charging station while driving away from home
3. Chances of sort Circuit
4. Lowest resale value
5. Dependence on dealer on malfunction
6. Batteries are to be purchased at high price when finished
8. After few years when the battery is going down its pick up and torque is questionable
9. Battery company will wait and watch in its R&D cell for further improvement
10. Battery dealers will think over and over their stocks
15. Disposing of damaged batteries and semicoductor chips will create enviromental problem
16. Government thinks that if dependency of petrol and Diesel is finished they don't require to rely on oil exporting nation. But this will initiate new geopolitical tension because if oil is not purchased how these countries will maintain their economy.
Oh I m fed up with my negative thoughts
But there are still many micro level problems which are more serious than those which are already mentioned

Long term viability needs to be reviewed…
Battery itself is 40-50% of the cost of the entire car. Plus components that go into the battery lithium, cobalt, iron, etc needs to be mined out of the soil, using high powered diesel engines. The refinement is also done in factories.
Plus long term exposure to these minerals causes cancer.

Whenever new product comes into market, it needs some time to stabilize in a way cost, quality, technology.

India is the country if extreme Temperatures hot and cold also.
Switching from diesel car to EV was the biggest mistake i ever did.

A car is anyways & always a depreciating asset by all standards. What % of cost price of your petrol/diesel vehicle do you think you will be able to recover when U will want to sell it after 7-8 years. I do not think you will get more than 40%(best case scenario) of its actual original value simply becoz there are always newer cars with better deals and service warranty & newer features that will appear in the market. In truth, the life of your vehicle battery or gasoline is only 7 years. When the buyer of your 7 year old used car looks at your vehicle and realises that it has completed 100,000 kms + has no warranty + has had few minor/major denting jobs/accident history...what do you think he will want to pay for buying your car?. All my previous used cars were able to sell only at throw away prices vs the actual cost i paid to buy/own them.
