Your reviews are always good. However, the cars you chose to compare are a total waste of time. If you want value for your money, choose neither. These batteries on wheels are grossly silly and there are many many cars out there that are superior to these battery EVs in every way. Imagine lugging around 220 kg of battery for the life of the car. Just compare the weight of an ice tiago with a spare wheel with the weight of a tiago ev without a spare wheel and you will see at least one reason not to buy a tiago ev.

Bought tata tiago ev around 60 days ago. Was very happy with my decision until last week. This was when abruptly one day the car gave an error "HV critical alert" and didn't start. As soon as I googled the error I was surprised to see numerous articles, complaints, issues raised by tiago ev owners. I was completely shocked as it was highlighted by multiple owners that they got this error numerous times and some were even strangled in the middle of the road due to this issue as the car just won't start. My experience with the RSA is another nightmare which I won't mention here. My car is still at the dealership since last 3 days with no clear timelines or resolution informed to me yet. Wanted to highlight this to make the potential buyers aware of this issue as I wasn't aware of the same myself when I decided. Would this have been a deal breaker for me? 100% yes! I am not trying to influence anyone's decision, just want everyone to google the term "HV critical alert tiago" and you'll know for yourself.
Nano was bad in those days. It was catching fire, stiff suspension, poor build quality and Tata's reputation when it comes to the engine was bad. People made a sensible choice to put in more money and get Alto, Santro, Zen Estilo, Nissan Micra, etc.
@@KaranBhogle360 I own Nano CNG and it is far better than few cars of other rivals. I even had couple of accidents where Nano proved it's build quality, once against Ciaz too. So, I'm a happy and proud owner of Tata Nano.

You can do Google Image search for "Tata Nano catching fire" and you'll see how prevalent this issue was that influenced people's decisions such as my neighbour's who eventually ended up purchasing Alto. You can also watch a video titled "Tata Nano scores Zero Stars" and you'll know about the build quality. Maybe they improved with next gen Nano but by then everybody's opinion of Nano was of the cheapest car in the world instead of an affordable one.
I have a tiago ev LR, done 15000 kms so far with no problem, I get 220- 250 kms without ac , driving in hilly mountainous roads only. Love the car . Update :- 21,000 kms done, no problem so far.

As a Tiago and Nexon EV owner, I would like to specify that the Nexon and Tiago EVs we have have no comparison in quality. I have a list of issues with which I received my Tiago. 1. The boot does not close properly. 2. The floor of the car was untidy upon delivery. 3. The seats were soiled upon delivery. 4. The bonnet exhibits an uneven texture compared to other cars in your showroom. 5. The fuel lid does not close reliably and sometimes does not open at all, forcing us to employ workarounds provided by the service center. 6. A mysterious sound within the car is unrelated to the tires or the AC. 7. The driver's door consistently fails to open from the outside. 8. The driver's door occasionally fails to open from the inside. 9. Both front and rear doors on the left side do not close smoothly, despite the service center's denial. We have resorted to forcefully closing the doors, knowing that we will likely have to incur expenses for gasket refitting in the future. 10. Water leaks from the driver's window during rainfall Issue 5 and 6 are not fixed. They are not fixing the issues.
17000km done in my comet base model having ORVM mirror,Tyre pressure monitoring and manual dimmer. Feels Awesome vehicle .most least electricity charge in ev segment and I usually getting mileage around 230 -240 on my 120kms daily ride with the base model with eco mode and regeneration. Enough power is there and no lags. Also comet is feather light to drive.

I am having a daily trip of 110--120kms on kottarakkara - trivandrum MC road in Kerala and I am using regeneration in maximum efficiently.If you come with me, I will show the exact range and it's depends upon the driving style and use of regeneration effectively effectively.

tata is straight forward more practical and made for sole purpose of functionality. mg comet has been created as a secondary car for those who already own cars. i would not recommend buying evs from both of these brands since they are plaqued with software and battery issues and also poor range issues. the only ev brand right now in market would be hyundai,kia and probably mahindra since they have a more clean track record when it comes to evs.
MG Comet will be best if used in public transport in congested areas of a city like an autorickshaw because it’s not made for family travel with almost no luggage and storage space.

I am battery engineer if u don't fast charge like often liquid cooling not necessary. Motor is less powerful and battery pack we opened it easy to repair in Citroen.

Want some clarification 1) Is EV for those who have less running ? Like 500-800 Kms in a month 2) Does it's battery gets discharged automatically if we not run the vehicle for a week or 2 week 3) Is EV suitable for hills or cold climates or there it has issues. Rest we aren't energy surplus nation still so wherever we stop for charging it might be possible that the place doesn't has power at that time so waiting time for charging can increase further
Citroen eC3 has failed I think bcz it's not on pure EV architecture like Punch EV and lack of features. Otherwise people would have rather opted for Citroen even if it costed bit more than Tata bcz initially Tata's cars have issues and I would consider it to be non-reliable as well along with Mahindra.
@@tarunsingh6292 I wouldn't neccesarly say that it has failed. A new varant (SHINE) has been launched providing usefull features but nothing too fancy. It is a no nonsense car that provides much better battery and most likley more reliable too due to battery being supplied from SVOLT which contains the latest BLADE battery tech. I wouldn't say it has failed since sales are not bad for a company doing basically no marketing at all. Service is also very very good. Talking from personel experience.

I would rather purchase Citroen instead of Tata incase of EV. Features Punch level they need to provide if really wanna do sales. Till then they won't be able to do sales inspite marketing. @@tarunsingh6292 Agreed. I want them to succeed in the indian market though. I was disappointed in the crash ratings though, as citroen is known for their safety in Europe. The launch of their flagship car ( Citroen c5 aircross ) was also too overpriced as in the UK, prices start at 23,000 pounds which is approximately around 23 - 24 lakhs wherease they start at 35 lakhs here. They made an awkward entry into the indian market. But I am still in shock that people would prefer cars with sunroof and other gimmicks which are vastly impractical in indian weather conditions .

Before that they can't do sales as they have opened showrooms mostly in cities and no automatic nor features was a blunder. This is very common in tata tiago/taigor EV cars .
If people had valued Nano, this could have been a Comet vs Nano EV vdo.

Sir please post some data sources where u are saying evs are more prone to burning. Per 10000 vehicle petrol diesel cars have more fire than evs.
Total cost of ownership is way higher in EV. Resale value is almost zero after 5 to 6 years. Makes sense for someone using it for 100kms daily commute

Citroen eC3 has failed I think bcz it's not on pure EV architecture like Punch EV and lack of features. Otherwise people would have rather opted for Citroen even if it costed bit more than Tata bcz initially Tata's cars have issues and I would consider it to be non-reliable as well along with Mahindra.
@@tarunsingh6292 I wouldn't neccesarly say that it has failed. A new varant (SHINE) has been launched providing usefull features but nothing too fancy. It is a no nonsense car that provides much better battery and most likley more reliable too due to battery being supplied from SVOLT which contains the latest BLADE battery tech. I wouldn't say it has failed since sales are not bad for a company doing basically no marketing at all. Service is also very very good. Talking from personel experience.
@@curry4749 till now sales figures of entire Citroen pan India is putting a question mark. I am not saying anything about battery or something else. I would rather purchase Citroen instead of Tata incase of EV. Features Punch level they need to provide if really wanna do sales. Till then they won't be able to do sales inspite marketing. C3 or C3 Aircross sales too are nothing inspite marketing them. Right
Neither they have proved crash worthiness nor providing 6 airbags as standard. Why would one purchase it ?
@@tarunsingh6292 Agreed. I want them to succeed in the indian market though. I was disappointed in the crash ratings though, as citroen is known for their safety in Europe. The launch of their flagship car ( Citroen c5 aircross ) was also too overpriced as in the UK, prices start at 23,000 pounds which is approximately around 23 - 24 lakhs wherease they start at 35 lakhs here. They made an awkward entry into the indian market.
But I am still in shock that people would prefer cars with sunroof and other gimmicks which are vastly impractical in indian weather conditions .
@@curry4749 they can provide sunroof too in one variant for those who want it. For most Shine variant will suffice with few more added features. Before that they can't do sales as they have opened showrooms mostly in cities and no automatic nor features was a blunder. Target audience they didn't understood or opened showrooms in wrong places where people are going ga-ga over features
