Great review as always. I got my volume 3 about a week and a half ago, but I haven't dived into it yet. But I can't wait because out of the 14 movies in the set, I've only ever seen 4 of them. And i loooooove watching kung fu/swordplay movies for the first time. And roll on volume 4 lol.
Dragon Dynasty screwed up the BluRay of "Legend of Fong Sai-yuk" with Jet Li so bad due to completely forgetting to implement filters. The whole movie is set at noon in the DD version. :D About the ShawScope box I was moved by the last line in the book: Dedicated to Chor Yuen and Cheng Pai-pai who both passed away by now. The later in 2024. Salute! Greetings from Germany.
Slowly working my way through this boxset, just finished disc 4 (14 Amazons), I'm most looking forward to revisiting Killer Constable when I get to it. Still holding out hope that someone can bring out UK equivalents to the US Shout releases to save me importing them all though.
Roll on volume 4 lol. What movies are people hoping for in future volumes??? I'd love more Derek Yee movies. Top picks would be.. The Supreme Swordsman and Full Moon Scimitar.
Does anyone know which the Shaw Brothers' Scope' title "Five Fingers of death" is on? If may have a different title, but in the US during the 70's it would play at the drive In, in my small town whenever a Bruce Lee film was also showing. Thanks to all.
I got mine a week ago. So I can upgrade my Hong Kong blu-rays of The One-Armed Swordsman trilogy and my dvd of Avenging Eagles. All the others are new to me. Great set and loaded again with extras.
Arrow started to rip people off over in the uk. They were charging a hundred £120 for the set and £11 postage. I've stopped purchasing off arrow now. I've started buying from eBay.
@invincibleasiaofficial i used to use these people but then they canceled on one of my orders and failed to deliver another order. So I stopped using them.
It's a shame you don't enjoy the wuxia aspect that was typical of this time period. They are fantastic films! Still plenty of kung fu action to enjoy here though :)
Love the video and can't wait to pick this up! I hope you do a review of the Golden Harvest sets that Shout Factory are putting out
Thank you, appreciate it. It was a gorgeous set! My video for the first GH box set is out now and second on the way :) Thanks for watching!
I have that one armed swordsman set and love it as much as you. Still takes pride and place at the forefront of my collection! ❤
Awesome! Yes, a great collection :) Thanks for watching!

Yes, I noticed that in the book. Hope you enjoyed the set. Thanks for watching :)
Mine's still sat in the box ready for Santa to wrap. Counting the days to 25th December. 😁
Hope you got to open that and enjoy! Thanks for watching :)

Yes, more Derek Yee in 4 would be awesome. I'd say it could happen :)

It's under its "King Boxer" title. I THINK it's on Shawscope vol. 1, but it may be vol. 2.
It's on Volume 1
@@Rando1975 thanks!
Yh volume 1 "king boxer"
@ thanks!

Anything to save a few bucks, and you're just right. Also keep an eye on Terracotta for orders :)

How many actual KUNG FU films are in this set though? Sword-fighting is meh for me.
