  • In Part 1 I cover a brief overview of Digitrax Hardware used in this project, give an Introduction to JMRI, populate tables, draw the Layout Editor schematic, and link it to track sensors.

Excellent information and great presentation! I have been struggling with CATS for a long time. I finally decided to do my layout with JMRI, based largely upon your outstanding series! Thank you.

Thank you for the feedback! Keep an eye on my channel. I upgraded my UP CAD with some added features, and plan to do an update video in a couple of months!

Excellent tutorial. Thank you for posting this! I started this hobby when it was DC only. Took a long break and came back into it this year and so much has changed. It's like learning from scratch. Your tutorial has helped me better understand JMRI and how it operates. Thank you!!!

Thanks for the feedback! I hope to do more tutorials in the future.

Excellent tutorial! I am gearing up for my new HO scale layout and signalling will be a big part of it. I will be modeling New York Central and instead of position signals, I will have to model speed signals, and to make things more complicated, I have also thrown in a few semaphores (shoot me!). These tutorials are going to be of immense help - thank you for making them.

I maintain the signal system on my friend's very large basement HO layout. I tried to install a variety of signals. I have 1 semaphore on the layout, but have only figured out how to get it to display Stop and Clear. Havent figured out how to get it to show Approach.

I actually have a pretty complicated signalling system planned - trying to bring it as close to the prototype as possible. It looks all good on paper but I am yet to figure out how to get that working with DCC and JMRI. Is there a way I can send you a personal message? May be we can have a detailed chat if you are interested. :)

Yeah, send me an email. I may be able to send you my friends xml file for his layout. I had to stacks several layers of Logix to get exactly what i wanted in some cases.

very impressive how you can snap to each click point in a flash, so fast i couldn't follow it. I'll find another site that might want to actually show how to set this stuff up rather than impress me with how fast they can work a screen.

Je vous remercie! Ce n'est vraiment pas si difficile, si je peux le faire, tout le monde le peut!
