The sound quality is incredible! I actually had to take my headphones off to see if it was just playing out loud on the speakers. Sounds super real and really nice! Great playing too.
It really is unbelievable how masterfully recorded the audio is. Taking in account that this was probably recorded with only a few overhead microphones just makes it even more spectacular. Try to imagine being in that same hall when they recorded this.. I would most definitely not be standing still!
I have been playing the marimba for 9 years, and I can dream of doing this, but I would still need a ton of practice. I mean I don't think they missed one note, and the rhythm's and timing was spot on! This group of percussionists are by far one of my favorites! Keep up the good work you guys!

This adds an extra dimension to the experience, because watching the different ways the performers move is almost as fascinating as listening to the music. I hope the others will forgive me if I say that the girl on the left is my favourite.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND going to hear Hornpipe & Arrival of the Queen of Sheba both by GF Handel. The arrangements are sublime. I guarantee you'll like it or triple your money back ;)

OMG. This is a huge talent. One question though. So, I see the person on the right I think their marimba is smaller than where there's 2 people playing. Are there sizes of marimba meaning that go up to higher notes? If so, it's not necessary for there to be 2 people right?
Generally speaking there are 「４ octaves 」,「4 and 1/3 octaves」 and 「5 octaves」 Most marimba players in now a days prefer playing on 5 octaves which has one lower octave added to 4 octave marimba. Bars in lower section of the marimba can sustain the notes longer. However by counting on the "echo" they gave up playing roll (tremolo) to sustain the notes, also they prefer playing original modern pieces written for 5 octaves. Thus it's getting more difficult to find screen music/classical music ( such as Let it go, Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, etc. ) played on marimba . We, all Japanese players, and some groups in US and Europe are still keep playing classical repertoire. Did you watch the movie "True Romance"? The Marimba Duo features "You are so cool" from the movie. Please watch it. - I'm sure you will like it.

"REMIX", a percussion ensemble mainly featuring marimba, was formed in 2015 in Tokyo. Members are students and graduates of music colleges majoring in marimba and percussion. Our goal is to deliver to and enchant the audience with the " fascinating sound of wood ". We have introduced Japanese songs such as "Yagi Bushi" and "Sakura - Cherry Blossoms." More Japanese songs are scheduled to be on You-Tube in the future.

Thank you for your nice comment. High section range are same, but larger marimba has more lower notes.
