If we look at the relationships in the current house of the dragon tv show it's mind boggling.
Daemon is Viserys brother and first cousin. They are also double cousins. Rhaenys is their first cousins and 1rst cousin once removed as she was also cousin to their father and first cousin to her own father Aemon. Her parents were nephew and aunt.

Targaryens kept their families so pure that there is a quiet diverse genepool in marrying the Valyearons. Unless Varemond and Corlys were adopted, Aegon, his sisters, some of his descendants and the old king we saw in the beginning of HotD should have a distinct look that would have them looking like Daemon's daughters. This will be interesting when the prequels get shown because Aegon and Jaheryes mothers are Valyearons.

@@sam-fq3ms Not speaking of the everyday citizens of the UK but the royalty and the rulers are all extremely inbred. I had my ancestry done a few years back and found out I’m 100% English. We owned the Lyons Inn in Shropshire. It’s still there today. The rulers wanted the Inn as it was a major coach stop..so they took it from our family and burned one of my female ancestors at the stake after she survived the water test.. and another didn’t survive the water test..as witches!! Theft by lies!! The remainder of my ancestors took their family and moved the United States and started tobacco farms in Virginia.

I just got the question about Aegon VI, is he the Son of Elya Martell?? Or is he the son of Lyanna Stark??. Because Jon Connington said he is just Rhaegal just the eyes is the difference. And the Age because Tyrion said he is almost 15 or 16. That or he claimant of the 3 know houses of the Targaryen.

The Velaryon’s were just as inbred going back to the days of Old Valyria. All Velaryon’s had Targaryen blood and all Targaryen’s had Velaryon blood & every now and again if the Tars didn’t marry each other they often married a Vel cousin or two 😭😂😂 .
Also the Velaryon’s settled off Westeros first and a few years later the Targaryen’s followed ..they both were minor noble families from old valyria & while the Tars had dragons the Vels had ships and were masters of the sea. Yet both houses left old valyria before the doom and were thus the last people alive with the blood of valyria left in the world

The nobles behind the walls of Old Volantis are the same, but they don't descend from Valyrian nobility.
The Lysene maintain strong Valyrian blood, but their prostitution economy means it's most certainly mixed.
