Electro-Harmonix MEL9 arrives at Robboland. Mellotron inspired looper jam.

I got this pedal as a present for my Brother. I had to test it out before I gave it to him, obviously.
Strings, Choirs, huge swirly distorted howling guitars, I had to do it !
Looper jam with the Electro-Harmonix MEL9, Boss ME-80, BossRC-500 looper, and the Fernandes Retro Rocket Pro, Sustainer guitar.
My Brother loves the pedal, we jammed for a couple of hours at the weekend, it sounded epic, especially when he ran 2 channels out, the Mel9 effect into a Bass amp. That was fun.

Great to hear from you Pete,I hope you're well mate. That Fernandes Sustainer guitar has the harmonic squeal function built in, added to the fact I was getting it to feedback naturally as well, that was a lot of un to mess with :)

I have a four of the EHX "9" boxes. Wish I had them back in the 70s. They take getting used to but awesome synths for guitarists

Hey Duane, I hope you're keeping well. I'm really impressed with the Mel9, I can imagine the others they make are just as much fun, especially the Hammond organ simulator. It's insane you can now fit a Mellotron in your pocket, usually it'd take probably 4 people to move a real one !

It's a very cool pedal, you instantly have that epic Prog feel as soon as you hit a note, I had to go there :)

Cheers Nick. It sounded great with a Bass guitar as well, although it'll only track down to a low A according to EHX, still plenty epic though, I can totally recommend it.
