I like these “half assed” demos more than I think you’re normal ones. I think it’s more accurate representation of what ever you’re demoing and what it would actually sound like if I plugged it in for the first time. Having stuff demoed in full mixes can be misleading some times haha
That's why every coming video will have the title HALF ASS DEMO - in it, no matter how half assed or serious it is

All Mooer preamps have two channels. Clean and lead. You can sweep between them by holding footswitch few sec. Each channel sound setup is memorized
These are honestly my favorite demos ever.

Holy shit dude that Fried Mein sounds in-fucking-sane.
The Friedman sounds great imho, I have the 5150 Model and the MXR EVH Distortion and the Mooer is a great budget preamp pedal including a clean channel. The Friedman may end up in my collection as well.
@Andresriff I love the gate and the overall sound, it's a really basic preamp in a sturdy box.

I bought the Dual Cali a while back, now I kind off wish I'd have gone for the Friedman. Then again, putting a tubescreamer in front of the dual Cali works well to make it less muddy.
You bought the Mk3 008 pedal (Mark III copy) since these 2 in this video are coming out in January :D
I’m really getting interested in these, but the small size makes me worried that they will run off and hide with all those missing picks.. I really like these ”half assed” videos, it really fun to watch!

merp, it would've been interesting to see the dual cali with a boost in front. cool video though, that friedman one sounds pretty decent.
I think what would be cool is plugging in modelers into the clean channel in the actual amps they emulate and switching between the clean with the pedal on and the gain channel with the pedal off to see how close they get to the real thing..I actually do that with my Boss Gt1 to dial in tones I like using my collection of tube amplifiers.
If you run it in the clean channel you still would get the EQ colouring of that preamp in your actual amp. The best way to compare these is to run them in the FX Loop just using the power amp section!
Herrdesrings True ..I have tried both ways and I prefer through the clean channel..Thats just what my ears like better..plus the ability the adjust the tone with the amp's clean channel...perhaps test both ways..that would be good as well

The Cali-Dual is maybe a mix of a Mesa Boogie Caliber and a Rectifier I guess? Unfortunately it sounds like none of them! The Fried chicken or something, sounds better to me.

Gibsoad Studios I believe he stated those pickups in solar guitars are only available in solar guitars. Watch the faq he did about the solar guitars thing and it may have the answer.

Gibsoad Studios. I honestly can't answer that question with certainty. I'm sure if you made 2 forum posts people could tell you some similar ones. Try wording one how you expect someone to word the question and then on the other post say something like "solar pickups sound a lot like nazguls" and the weirdest geardos should be on the prowl to correct ya.
Honestly though I could be wrong about their availability for separate purchase.
If you want to get something similar I would get the Seymour Duncan Custom 5 Alnico!

Whats up man!!! Help me please ... plug the Mooer 011 on the return of a Meteoro 2x12 MCK200 (Andreas Kisser) and I can't get a nice sound. I've tried everything, digging the middle for a more Metallica sound, I've left it flat and etc. Except that NOTHING ... I can't get a nice sound for my ears. Why that??? Help me. Thanks.

Try this: 33 boost -> Kali -> Satan loop return -> Your cab (or loadbox)... Wait, what about the Radar?

Can you use one of these as a a pre, with the output as fx send, and a power amp (like SD power stage, mooer baby bomb, ehx magnum 44) with the input as fx ret? I've been considering converting my pedalboard into my amp as well, so that I can carry it with me anywhere and just plug into a cab. Would it work?

Works perfect! I got the 005 Model and the EHX Magnum 44 and it's loud as fuck and sounds almost like a real EVH (although the bass response is a bit different)

Nicolás it shouldn't make the sound worse than the sources that generate it. You must decide if you like the sound of those micro preamps though
If you use it between the preamp pedal and the poweramp than it's basically in the FX loop - so a delay/reverb/looper/noisegate pedal fits nice in there. I'm running a noisegate, Compressor and TS style pedal in front of the Mooer and another noisegate, delay/reverb and looper afterwards :D

Cab impulses just don't sound the same. Its a weird fuzz, excited top, thinner bottom.

Radar has Power Amp Sims already...
Need the baby bomb if you actually want to run a cab. Radar is only good for DI, headphones or monitor/PA
Why would you need another cab sim? The thing has one built in. You could run it with a Baby Bomb or EHX 44 Magnum and play a real cab that will be loud enough to compete with a drummer
+Herrdesrings Probably because the one built in is some kind of circuit, whereas with the Radar, you're using an IR of the cabinet. Of course, you need to disable the preamp's cabinet simulation.

LOL you don't have to. I got the 005 Brown Sound and it has more than enough gain. I just don't like the fizzy high end you get when you crank the gain

Brown sound is usually tight anyway, but Mesa and others are not
