Bro this is me, to the point where I was doing a mission and shot the guy brushing his horse minding his business because I thought he was gonna kill me.
I see a guy on the mini map and I usually shrug it off. We then cross the same path and I try to slow down while the guys going full fukin speed and turns so he hits me. He then gets pissy and kills me and My horse is downed while his is perfectly fine. So I just snipe him then return to my business and revive my horse and go.
Here's how I play RDO Introvert player: Avoids players no matter what on free roam as much as possible to avoid conflict with potential griefers, even some are probably not. Does the story mode mission repeatedly, keeps to himself. Prefers to fish than to hunt for money. Finds/ moves to a different camp location to get away from player heavy areas. Not comfortable with being part of a posse with randoms. Enjoys collecting herbs and crafting and collecting collectables
I miss the good ol days of red dead 1 online there wasnt that many players in a server so it wasnt like you were gonna come across a huge gang of griefers. You could almost even have any gun you wanted they were scattered around the map. It was great getting a 1911 down in mexico and shooting griefers since a lot were too dumb to know the locations. And getting the mexican police after you and mowing down wave after wave at that fort in mexico. Good times.

You forgot the “Dishonorable by Association” player. The friend that always has a bounty on their head and has shoot outs in every single city they enter. Hogties and loots everyone 😂
I love when griefers attack me, i have them running away or begging me on voice to leave them alone after i constantly kill them over and over, and i just say, "Maybe you will think twice about griefing next time". If only they would take that as a sign that griefing isnt cool, that would be nice.
Why they don't change the lobby? When griefer attack me after 2 minutes of shooting, I change to an other lobby, because I want to play my games and not griefers games. They want all time challenge other people, better say no and disappear.
I consider myself as a coward. I always play alone and whenever i see another player i just jump on my horse and run. I would prefer to play with my friends but none of ‘em has Red Dead Redemption.
I am the same way, it’s quite sad that you can’t trust anyone. Especially because I’m a new player who’s terrified of other players. I always get chased halfway across the map getting shot at all the time and it really ruins rdo for me.
Spyro The LoL well I’m not scared of other players since i 100% the story mode 2 times and finished it 4 times but i agree with you on the friends part
I’m the good guy. I actually once gave someone my perfect cougar pelt just because I saw him get killed by griefers. I killed the griefers, forcing them to rage quit, and then gave that poor man my pelt. He then found me later and joined my posse. We’re friends to this day 😁
Greifer: lassos and kills me Me: oh you [the following paragraph has been removed as it might to frightening for the children of the young demographic]
In the future update they should add in putting a bounty on players head like gta and that'll stop the griefers put a bounty of a thousand and everyone in the lobby will be coming for them
This one time, a player fell from from a cliff near me and his horse was critically injured. So I revived the horse, fed him some hay and lead it for like 10 seconds xD
I’m closest to the nice guy. Not to the degree you explained. I want to go about my gameplay doing stranger missions, hunting, etc. I will take on a griefer and I can hold my own. I never go out of my way to mess with anyone unless they messed with me first.
I'm a mix of the casual, nice guy, roleplayer, and a little one I created called the outdoorsman who just likes to wander the woods, mountains, hunt and fish. Great video 👍
@Homeless Man I mean when it comes to the killing part I'm either not interested at the time or I'm going on a killing spree there's no in between for me

I had a remarkable encounter with above guy in my first week near Blackwater. He randomly dropped off a perfect cougar pelt, waved and rode off. Whoever you were, thank you for teaching me about RDO etiquette and niceness!
So, I'm the "nice guy" in the game which kinda sucks in a way bc I've playing since December and it's taken me forever to reach rank 55. But, so what. I'm also a dad so I tend to be a little more tolerant of the little prepubescent squeakers I occasionally encounter. When they grief me I kill them repeatedly until they agree to stop doing it not just to me but other players. This usually ends with them joining my posse and learning how to play the game the right way and that the golden rule applies in game as it does in IRL. But yeah, parents, this game isn't for kids.
I like your approach to the game. You are maybe the 8th type of player, the master or teacher, the one who after stoping a kid griefer, takes him as temporary disciple and shows him that there is another way of playing without just killing everyone he encounters.
You forgot one.. The Bar fighter: He is always in a bar and tries to pick fights and knocks everyone out with his bare hands You will always find him either murdering police with his hands or throwing people out of bar windows They will never give a shit if you aim any firearm at them.. just don’t fire..... you will be sorry
I do think you missed 1 player type that comes to mind. (The tryhard) a player who knows all the routes in every mission, all the tricks to kill large groups of enemies NPC or Player and has a very precise and picky inventory from tools to businesses to weapons
1: Role Shark (someone who only does the tasks his/her role requires to make money or gold), 2: Big-Game Hunter (someone who earns money strictly through hunting/fishing, rarely participates in PvP; usually picks the Trader role), 3: Peacekeeper (similar to the "Nice Guy", this player hunts down rogue players and griefers who are causing trouble; usually picks the Bounty Hunter role), 4: The Whale (most people know the definition), 5: Sightseer (a casual player who is fascinated by the in-game world, usually chooses the Collector role and wants to see everything and find as many secrets as possible; most also have an obsession with the camera feature). I know this is months late, but these are just some types of players I've come across. Not AS many griefers now, but they do show up from time to time (presumably from boredom).
I'm sort of a peacekeeper. But If I start getting greifed. I shoot anything that moves. I will try to help players but I accidently kill the victim and then they start shooting at me. So honestly Idk what I am
If you're playing on PS4, set up your internet connection and go to custom, choose default settings for everything except for DNS settings. On the first line put 8.8.8.8 and the second put 8.8.4.4 This wont fix the problem completely, but it did help me quite a bit. I imagine you could do the same on xbox
There was this really nice guy where I was riding around and I accidentally hit him and knocked us both off our horses and my horse got “killed” and as soon as that happened he revived it
Same thing happened to me!!! But I didn't think he was going to revive it, so I shot my horse before he actially did :( guy, if you ever read this, thank you for trying ! And don't worry about the horse, I had insurance
You missed out 2 others: The rich bi**h: that one kid who is spoilt and brags about everything they own The rich boi: that one kid who is rich but is really nice and helps out everyone
I’m normally a “nice guy” but lately I’ve been having lots of players come up to me and end up killing me (over and over), so I’ve become kinda hostile when players get near by. Once I see someone storming their way towards me I crouch by a tree and grab my rolling block
Unfortunately that's the toxic mind coming from GTA online, in which everything and everyone was absolutely hostile. I feel the same way as you and I think recently it just got worst. There ain't a day I didnt have issues with someone for no reason at all. R* should do something, this is Red Dead, not GTA

Four more for you, if they haven’t already been mentioned: 1. The Cosplayer: Players who devote a significant portion of their time to acquiring and designing outfits from different sources like movies, tv shows, comics or other games. Not going to lie, I do this. 2. Theory Crafters: A lot like your completionist, but pretty much all they do is experiment with everything to see what works best and what doesn’t. Like experimenting with ability cards, figuring out the best collector routes, what ammo types work best in what situations, etc. 3. The Story Mode Player: In this case I mean players who are content to explicitly just play the online Story missions and Stranger missions over and over and mind their own business. Usually keep to themselves and avoid other players if they can. 4. The Law: Players who take it upon themselves to enforce the Law and uphold the peace throughout the lawless lands of Red Dead Online. These guys can often be seen taking on positive Honor Stranger missions, helping out Strangers in need in Stranger Encounters, tackling griefers and sometimes escorting other players safely during their own missions. These guys are great.
XanderTheSatanik I started doing this on Halloween last year. I made the perfect Joker costume when the masks came out. Then I switched it up and made several Marvel characters, including a time-traveling Nick Fury. I’ve been Django and several other characters now too. It’s fun to look at all the options and get inspired to try some new character out by mixing and matching pieces.
Chase Webster I really enjoy doing this too. My cosplay choices range from Jody Domergue from The Hateful 8, to the NCR Vest Outfit from Fallout New Vegas, to Captain Malcolm Reynolds from Firefly. A few more, but these three are my favourites.
I'm closest to number 3, I like to keep to myself, I've been griefed so many times and kicked off because of server issues, so I just prefer to get done what I can in my solo style, though I will sometimes mess around with other players if they mess with me first
Yeah, I also do that. I'd be working on my ability cards, grinding the $, sell stuff at the Blackwater butcher and be like... I wonder what new clothes there are? Into the Tailor and bam - I'm broke again😂😂😂
so what your saying is male players can't play as female character cause that's retired or that makes them retired? or am i taking this the wrong way most likely i am but just want to make sure?
Mark Hill dude, me too. Keeps things fresh. Plus RDR2 is so fulla dudes, it’s hella satisfying when your character, standing out from the crowd, puts those grimy, bearded male avatars in their caskets.
I'm like 80% casual, 10% nice guy, and 10% completionist Also I tried playing story mode as an dishonorable person to get the bad ending but somehow ended up getting the good ending
You should hog tie a greifer, throw him on the train or ride away with him so he spawns away from his horse that one of your posse members just blasted with a sawed-off.
@@RickSanchez-ow8kd no, that’s not an outlaw, that’s being annoying, outlaws will rob and crap but did you ever hear of Bonnie and Clyde spending their time just annoying people
Honestly, I would say I’m more like the nice guy. I go around minding my own business, hunting and collecting etc., and as soon as I see a blue spot pop up on the map, Usually accompanied by gunshots echoing through the streets of Saint Denis, I just go to wave and help if necessary, like if they are in trouble with the law, I give him a hand

Of all the online gamed I've played RD online has absolutely worst player base and the world being open as it is brings out the worst in people. I guess in the game you can see what people are willing to do if they knew their actions will never have consequences.
I relate to “the role player” I’ve created my own outlaw character and have and currently am still grinding to make him look the part I am picturing in my mind. While I don’t particularly set up different scenes I do like voice acting as the character and performing different actions that I think the character would make based on the situation.

The casual grinder:
Grinds progress when major update hits, then logs casual just to keep daily challenge streak going.
what people dont realize is some people turn into griefers on rdr playing rdr alone can cause some to become that
Four more for you, if they haven’t already been mentioned:
