- Longines are on fire at the moment with these releases. They just updated the legendary Longines Conquest to a 2023 version. I personally think it makes a great Rolex Oyster Perpetual Alternative. Enjoy!

feels more aquaterra to me but either way looks great. longines is pure class
Exactly
I said the same thing just looking at the title card scrolling through available videos.
Seems like a lot of brands are going for that AT look lately
You nailed it defo Aquaterra, not Rolex.
Once Longines releases a 39 mm version, I will definitely buy it.
I'm in the same boat. 39 and I'm in.
I'll take a 37mm 🤌🏻
@@marktran2657 too big for me!
Yess We need less than 40mm watches
40-41 is great for me .
This is not a dress watch, this is a GADA watch. Very versatile and can be worn everyday to pretty much every occasion.
Longines are on fire. Wondering what it will take for them to be seen without comparisons to more expensive watch brands because they're amazing in their own right.
Also think the full name fits the tool better than the logo. The logo might be better on packaging or on the end of the tool.
Thanks mate! Appreciate that
@@alfieakaronaldog Yeah, it seems to be caught in an awkward in between spot where we can't help draw comparisons, often highlighting that it's superior to most watches around the same price and as an alternative to other established, popular watches.
Reading my original comment back, I hope it wasn't taken as criticism of the channel. It was a general observation that we all seem to make these comparisons. I'd love to see Longines release a statement/blockbuster watch that isn't as affordable. Just to show they can still flex their muscles as one of the elite Swiss brands.
@@alfieakaronaldog Makes sense. Hopefully the success of Longines will encourage them to think twice.
Better CH than the full name 😀. I love Longines in general, I had the previous version of Conquest and I sold it. Now the green one is really tempting me.
Very nice. Hoping a 37mm is in the pipeline.
38 mm coming out soon dealer told me
LMAO! Get a ladies watch!
Wow, first Longines that stopped me in my tracks. I love this watch. They remind me of the recent colorful Aqua Terra’s from Omega. Thanks for the great review.
I love the Rolex celebration. Its £7,600 new. On the 2nd market its close to £25K! I'm struggling to decide which GMT to get. The new white dial Tudor, the Longines you showed the other day. Or the big boy green and white Grand Seiko.
Full brand name looks better in my opinion for the spring bar tool. Thanks for the review 👌
41mm is my preferred size but i wonder if they should have made it 39 considering they're going for that dress look
These wear incredibly well
With this the chrono and diver GMT Longines is really pushing in the affordable accessible range absolutely killing it
Love it. If just the date wheel matched in colour in the green variant I would definitely buy it.
Now, having a blue HC ceramic I can’t decide wether the blue or the black variant for this one
At first I wasn't sure if I liked this watch, but the more I see it, the more I like it. I originally wanted to buy an Aqua Terra at some point, but it's a very high price that you have to pay now. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether it is worth it. But this is exactly where the new Conquest comes into play. It offers a lot of what I like about the Omega but at a significantly lower price. The quality of workmanship at Longines is certainly at a high level, probably not quite as high as at Omega but the difference has to be justified somewhere. Regarding the "spring bar tool", I would actually like to see Chisholm Hunter's full name on it. It looks a little classier and your company can be proud of your success. So let everyone know which tool is being used and there will be no doubts.
Hoping they'd release a 39mm version in the future. Definitely saving up for this!
Me too
The update it’s just fantastic… 👍👏💪
Longines have been punching above its weight for a few years now, go back a few years before and the perception was a little different. This watch looks a treat and if the finish is of a similar standard to other recent releases it should be pretty great. As a dress watch that as you mention seems to be the direction for this model it just works. I have to agree with the comment on symmetry as well. Whilst I doubt it's a substitute for an OP it would certainly work well while you wait for one if you're looking for retail. If this watch looks and wears as good as it should the competition could be with the SWATCH group sister brands Omega Aquaterra range. OK the Omega has a bespoke coaxial movement with great finishing and is METAS certified it will cost a lot more. While right now the Conquest is not for me as I already have my old Omega Globemaster era 2015 ish on leather covering this but if I hadn't I'd certainly take a look. Will they make a smaller version? I'd guess they will consider it in about six months or so. Maybe a 39 or 37. They released a smaller COSC Spirit Zulu Time and a 37mm Spirit not that long ago.
Huge Longines fan. Terrific bang for the buck. And, CH for me!
Lovely watches. Tudor black bay 36, 39, 41mm watch all day long for me in this category!
Visca Barca!!! ❤️💙🔴🔵
I'm happy that you're getting better, thus the reason I didn't ask for "as always" in your last video
and oh I prefer full "Chisholm Hunter" on the springbar
Hahaha appreciate you mate, thank you.
Nice video man hello from Croatia ❤❤
Been brought up in other reviews how it’s a pity the green dial doesn’t have a matched colour datewheel.. thoughts?
What a beauty. The blue dial really catches my eye
Thank You Harrison - as always
I think the full Chisholm Hunter logo looks better on the spring bar tool.
I prefer the previous version of the Conquest but I’m biased because I have 2. A 41mm blue dial auto and 43mm white dial VHP GMT. They are great for the money.
Siver dial for me please. Are they offering a 36 or 38mm.
if this only came out with a smaller size maybe 36-38mm case size then its an easy buy for me.
I really like it and if it had no date I'd get one, the green one specifically.
Looks awesome and maybe a blend of Aqua Terra and Date Just in a Longines flavour. I’ve tried on the green one and it’s stunning. As Tudor’s quality get’s worse and worse Longines watches get better and better 👌🏼
Tudor is trash 🗑️ 😂😂😂
How is tudor getting worse? They just have brought in cosc certified manufactured movement in all their latest watches. And their finishing is pretty top for the price.
@@thomasnguyen5295 Tudor fanboy spotted 😂😂😂😂😂🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
@@SIZZO76 say what you want, but if you don't give any reasons, you are just butthurt. I'm honestly asking for your opinion on why Tudor's quality is getting worse?
@@thomasnguyen5295 Tudor is having lots of quality issues unfortunately. If you look into it you will find the BB54 the Pelagos 39 and 41 the BB Pro and GMT Black Bay are all having problems. Even the 58 is having alignment problems with the applied markers and the brushing on some of the case’s doesn’t match from left to right. I’ve owned a few over the years and you can see the older ones had less issues. It doesn’t help that Tudor gets all the bits made by various different manufacturers so it’s hard to control the quality. That new Tudor factory only assembles watches. No raw material’s enter that factory and nothing is actually manufactured there.
😊😊😊😊😊 Longines is an excellent brand! I'm looking for the Sector dial which in my opinion is a beautiful watch ✌️❤️
You check out that newer Mido TV watch?
Why would they color match the date wheel in the black and blue but not the others? Love the watch though.
Great video. I’ll go with the CH
Question; why does the green version have a white background on the date and the others are the same colour as the face...
Longines is taking 2023 over, love these!
Simply a timeless beautiful watch by a branded maker. I'm buying it now as a gift for my son.
38-39 mm is a must
Hopefully they release more soon!
Why is the green ones date not color coded?
For me would be the tudor black bay 41, such a nice piece
Why does the green not have a color matched date wheel? 👀
There is a distinct advantage to closed casebacks, especially in dress watches. A closed caseback allows the watch to be thinner, which is a highly desirable trait for dress watches. The slimmer profile ensures that the watch sits elegantly on the wrist and fits comfortably under a shirt cuff, enhancing both its aesthetic appeal and practicality.
Plus truth be told most automatic are mostly rotor from the back, once you'be seen a nicely finished rotor, you've pretty much seen them all. I'm more than happy with a very nicely made solid caseback.
This watch is only 10.5 mm thick. I just bought one and can't imagine the want for something thinner. But , we all have our obsessive traits if we are watch guys. Respect to your comment as I did not know that a closed case back got you thinner. I'll make that work for me someday !
I can see this being an absolute strap monster
Re the spring bar tool. I think the full Chisholm Hunter logo looks best. The CH logo just doesn't look strong enough. 👍
Appreciate that mate, thank you!
Totally agree!!!!!
I would choose this over a Rolex OP for shure. Longines (as well as other Swatchgroup brands) put out great new models in the past few years, also increasing their quality and finish but still for a fair price.
These are really nice.
Agree. Need middle Siamese in 37-39mm range
The full name looks much better.
This watch is just incredible. Looks amazing
How’s this compare with Tissot gentleman?
Really like this new release but baffled why the green dial hasn't got a colour matched date wheel like the other colours! What a missed opportunity! why did they do this?
Yes, that's the same question by me. The Blue and Brown dial has matching colour on the date disc but not the Green dial 🤔 why???!!!
is there a 39mm version expected? when?
I don't know much about watches but these look quite nice
The green dial pulled me in right away.
If you should compare, its more like a Aqua Terra. I feel like the norm is comparing everything to Rolex, and thats sad when there is greater brands out there. I like these even more than the Aqua Terra and the OP tho.
Sad the green dial have white date window.
I was thinking that, I wanted to purchase the Tag Heuer Carrera Date 36mm. Do you think it's a good watch for my first luxury watch collection?
If you can rock the smaller size, I'd say it's a very solid first luxury watch, considering that it's from a very popular and prestigious brand and with your choice of the Carrera, has the rich history. People would be able to appreciate what you wear the way you would appreciate it yourself.
Very solid choice my friend.
I used to dislike tag but I bought an aquaracer calibre 5 in white dial with orange accents and its one of my most worn pieces, as well as being a lot more accurate than my bb58.
It's definitely overpriced but they have nice cool watches that Carrera date is beautiful I'd get a Longines Hydroconquest, Oris aquis, or a Longines conquest if you don't get the Carrera date 😎👍
I love Tag🔥🔥🔥
@@ThePlaiiboxTudor is trash 😂
I just bought the blue version and 41mm fits on my wrist well.
Size of your wrist???
@@Daniel-rd1sy 18cm
@@shernanalmia212 ohhhh just like me, I think I ll buy the green dial 41mm
Go for the full "Chisholm Hunter" word-mark as it leaves NO DOUBT as to your brand's identity. (You may even want to consider adding your web address on the other side.)
The GREEN colour is *by far* the prettiest of the bunch. That said, points deducted because the date disc is NOT colour matched to the dial. The collection gives off definite Omega AquaTerra vibes (despite missing the golden yellow colour-way) which I absolutely adore.
Gorgeous watch.👌👌💯
I bought the green one. It is a gorgous watch.
Yes. And an improvement on the AT
I have not seen one in the flesh yet .. but it might still prefer the last version
Longines is heavy hittng it lately.
CH logo all the way 🎉
They look more like Omega Aqua Terra on a budget. Nice blue dial
I just bought one of these yesterday. I really didn't connect between this and the look of a Rolex. I think the Longines looks much better. However , to hear you say Longines in the same breath as Rolex does give a dose of feel good, although I don't think they are in the same League as Rolex. . I agree with @DoodleHats. The Longines does remind me of the Aquaterra.
The thing is, I don't look at the Conquest as an alternative to anything. I just really really like the look . I have 8.5 in wrist so the 41 mm is ok for me. That said, I'm not sure it would work out so well for guys with small wrists as it is about as big as I would go for me. The 38 would have worked well too.
Something to note, not a big deal really, but the ‘s’ is silent in the name Longines. It may seem a nitpick but correct pronunciation does go a long way when wanting to sound credible and/or professional when wanting to sell or represent a brand.
Idk man i wear big divers but on a watch like this, i think i prefer 39mm. I have a 40mm tissot gentleman and thats about the biggest ill go for this style watch and my wrist is 7.25 inches
A side by side comparison to the Tissot Gentleman would be nice to see
They look very nice. But for this price point, I would save up for an Omega Seamaster Aquaterra
Reminds me of omega but they are the same company now and the colours prove it.
I bet this would be stunning with a red dial.
About color. I vote olive green, just perfect.
I can’t decide between green or blue
Absolutely agree with you, however I am a self confessed Longines fan boy 😊
Next review on Conq .Chronograph please
This in 39 would be exquisite, you can forget about Tudor, Omega or Rolex with their respective everyday watches
Waiting for 38 or 39 mm ❤
CH logo, defo
Thanks bud
I’d love to see this in a 39 over a 41 for my small ass wrists
Just like a signed crown go with the CH
37 version I’m all in
Longines should be making every watch at this point cosc certified. No reason that for 2-3 k to have the watches be non cosc
Definitely!!
Chisholm Hunter on the side, CH on the cap/bottom
The answer is YES!
Olivegreen very nice
Why did they color match the date window for the blue and black but not the green? Missed opportunity there. Brilliant watch otherwise.
I get more AT vibes not OP. Beautiful watch
This in 37-39...it would be perfect
It would be almost perfect if the bracelet had toolless micro adjust. Longines are you listening?!
Lovely looking watch but at 41mm I think this is a bit big. Sinn 556 at 38mm would be my choice as a poor man’s Rolex
Make it 38mm Longines ❤
Longines has more history and older than Rolex, Longines the world's most honored watch 😎
it's a budget Omega aqua tera, which is a copy of the Rolex OP
The best Longines!!
Dress watches are dying. The aqua terra 8800 / 8900 is too dressy as well compared to the 8500, which was a nice balance of sport / dress. Now the Conquest has gone in that direction.
It's a budget Aqua Terra. The Swatch group ownership of Longines ensures as much.
And the Aquaterra sure isn’t worth the ridiculous price Omega is asking.
They're very good looking but aren't an alternative for an OP36.
Lovely watch. Too big, though. Definitely need a 36-38mm version.
CH 👌
It looks more like a VC overseas than the Rolex Oyster.
