Divine, I've been hunting for this for weeks, which humours me no end. Stupendous.
I'm hunted and enchanted by this song
Loving the new, much fuller sound the new tracks seem to have. Can't wait to get my hands on a copy of the album!
Fixing a couple of things with the lyrics (bolded).
How come that blood all over your shirt?
My son come tell onto me
"It is the blood of my gallant gray hawk who flies across the field"
Got a gray hawk's blood and was never so red!
My son come tell onto to me
"It is the blood of my gallant greyhound who hunts the woods with me"
Got a greyhound's blood and was never so red!
My son come tell onto to me
"It is the blood of my gallant gray mare I used to ride so gay"
Got a gray mare's blood and was never so red!
My son come tell onto to me
"It is the blood of my own dear brother whom lately I have slain"
What did you and him fall out about?
My son come tell onto to me
"I cut him down young hazelnut tree caused it for to be"
And what you gonna do when your daddy finds out?
My son come tell onto to me
"I'll set my foot in yonder ship and I'll sail across the sea"
What you gonna do with your pretty little wife?
My son come tell onto to me
" She'll set her foot in yonder ship and she'll sail along with me"
And what you gonna do with your children, three ?
My son come tell onto to me
"I'll leave them here along with you to bear you company"
"I'll leave them here along with you to bear you company"
And when you coming home?
My son come tell onto to me
"When the sun and the moon shine in the north hills and that will never be"
"When the sun and the moon shine in the north hills and that will never be"
i like the electronic addition in this

My son come tellin' to me
Just set her foot in the undership and she'll sail along with me

Hey people, I'm spanish-speaker and I'm trying to translate this song's lyrics, 'cos I just love it and I'll love it even more when I know what is he talking about. But I need some help!!
What does he wanted to say with "I cut him down young hazelnut tree caused it for to be". I don't know how to translate that!!.
And what is an "undership"?? Well, thanks everyone!
“Yonder ship” not “umdership” means “that ship over there”
"yonder" is an old form of "this", it can be translated as "this (ship) there"
