- Come take the Munsters House Tour. Explore the Munster Mansion like you've never seen it before - as if it were a real life home. See views not possible on the show. Explore every nook and cranny. Yes, my favorite show when I was a kid. I remember watching it when I got home from school along with Gilligan's Island after. Well I enjoyed the lay out of the Munsters house, so cool. I can't wait for Granpa's dungeon in part 2. Thank you for sharing and God Bless.

@@cathybernard3325 Thought you'd like to know that I am working on the Family Affair apartment tour. It should be out in February. And, I was able to get an interview with Kathy Garver [Cissy]. She had a lot of interesting behind the scenes stories.
@4:47 - The "unique, antiquated piano" is actually a pump organ. Basically a reed organ that had air bellows that were filled by alternating foot pedals to pump the air. The round knobs above the keyboard are stop pulls, where one can turn on or off a voice within the instrument, changing the sound.

Our son is an organist, and he has a pump organ from the late 1800's.
There is also a house in Waxahachie, Texas, South of Dallas that has a close replica house that is lived in daily!

FINALLY! The origin of the Mockingbird lane.
Their kitchen was always my favorite. I liked the episode with Lily in the kitchen stirring the pot while wearing the furgosi emerald. You really did a fantastic job Marina. I even felt a touch of anxiety as though I were touring a real haunted house.

I was just watching an episode of The Munster's last night, and it occurred to me that in all the years I'd watched The Munster's when I was a child, I had never developed a clear layout of their home. Though I've been subscribed for a while I haven't watched all of the videos. Today, I searched and found the two-part episode here. Though I should have known with Mockingbird Lane included in your channel name. I had to stop half way through part one to let you know how delighted I am and my appreciation of your having included the Munster house in your channel. What fun!

Back in the day I rode one of those tourist trams in that neighborhood and was amazed to see the Munster house was across the street and a couple doors down from the Cleavers. After seeing that, I started to notice it on Leave it to Beavers when Beaver was in his front yard or Wally in Lumpy's car driving by it.

You did it! Before Halloween too! I was a teenaged dude when this show premiered. I totally wished they were my neighbors! I'd have been over there all the time. I'll never forget Lilly applying for a job and when the dude asked for her name she told him: "Dracula" LOL the look on his face. 7:33. In a larger home like The Munster's abode, that back staircase would be used by servants, so they wouldn't be seen too much by guests. Typically during the Victorian age, a house like that, often had servants.
What you say is true. However, homes in that era and size often had 2 staircases just for the family. Two excellent examples of this would be Bing Crosby's farm house in "Holiday Inn" and the house in "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House." In the Munster house, where would the servants stay? Its only a 4 bedroom house with an attic and no third floor (which was usually the servants bedrooms).
Wow. Excellent computer walk-thru. And a great presentation overall, including your warm, cheerful narration. The Munsters and Gilligan's Island were and still are my top two favorite shows since I first watched them as a kid in the '60s. Have never grown tired of them.
