listen to the ending scream again. "you didn't tear me apart." that one. that is my favorite part of this album. where christine realizes its over. that she's okay. that she can move on and live the rest of her life. that she's free. that's what made this story so beautiful to me. every time I hear this entire album I cry.
Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! The story was very well told. The story itself is extraordinary. The art work beautifully portrays the scenes of each song. I have never seen this much effort from a band for a concept album (ice nine kills is an exception). I love the way the song intensity and mood changes depending on what happens in the story. Best band ever. The lyrics are perfect, Oh my god I dont have any words in my mind to describe the lyrics. Absolutely beautiful. It's utterly sad that this band has not enough recognition on the masterpiece they have presented and the tremendous effort from making the lyrics to the mood in each song and song parts. I am so glad that I found this band and it was totally a coincidence... i have never been this lucky my whole life. KEEP UP THE WORK FAMOUS LAST WORDS! EACH. ONE. OF. YOU!
I know this is about a woman's struggle with domestic violence but this album dropped shortly after my ex wife and I split up she was very narcissistic and this speaks volumes to the abuse I endured for 8 years
This album is amazing. Well worth the wait! I'm so excited to see everything this band has in store for the future! The stories told are always so amazing and well told! Every ounce of sweat and effort you guys put into this shows! I realize such extensive concept albums take a lot of effort, but please never lose that about yourselves!
This became my fav album I was amazed when I heard it for the first time without reading the story because I wanted to get a feel for the music and then I listened again and read the lyrics and the story was so badass and amazing I love how she turned out in the end
She injected him with the ketamine and kept her righteousness and sanity, I think that's a perfect ending honestly. Imo this is album of the year, this is so amazing!
Inco I agree, although now that I think about it, the motherfucker is probably gonna keep doing the same things to other people, and that makes it a bittersweet ending, but again, is what she had to do.
I can't stop I've listened to this album so many times I lost count and I read the story over and over again and still get goose bumps and omg it's soo beautiful haha
I'm so proud of you guys. J tollas keep the great singing I love the high notes you can hit every album you've released so far has had so much meaning and emotion to it and I love it great effort on this album! I love you guys thanks for the good times you've given me in your music career
TEAR ME APART is the best song of this album. The music video should be this, not pretty in porcelain! Intro is very good and in this album there is less screams and this is good by the way! Waiting 2 years and this songg!! THANK YOU GUYS!!!
Who the FUCK disliked this song?!?!? I'm going to beat their asses! All the songs from this album and by the band in general are FUCKING amazing! This has to be my favorite band! I would love to see them live.
How the fuck could you dislike any FLW song. Every song from their EP Pick Your Posion to their new album The Incubus is amazing. Even JT's acoustic version of Katy Perry's Fireworks.
I'm on my ~10th round of listening to this album, I find more and more detail and emtion each time I listen to it I'm in love ❤ am I the only one that was just a tiny bit disappointed that she didn't kill him? She's got more control than I do, I wouldn't have murdered the shit out of him if I were her. But, I think she made the right choice. She didn't become the despicable monster that her husband is
Paranoid Words Trophy Wife- A party/celebration for her husband for 9 years after he came back from the war (WW2). She blacks out at the end. Pretty in Porcelain- Her first nightmare, she's "paralized" and some dude is treating her like a doll. Dresses her up and all that. Bury my Burdens- Praying to get rid of her nightmares and thinking of what could be causing them and why. Debilitated- Asks a doctor why the nightmares are occuring. finds out shes been drugged numerous times, the drug is causing the nightmares. The Dark you Fear in the Night- Her and her husband are somewhat arguing. And explaining to him why these nightmares are "terrible". Tries to find out who drugged her. Eleven Fifty-Nine- She finds out her husband was the one drugging her and he's done it to others before. Your Escape- She tries to leave, secretly. her husband finds out and gets a hold of their son and locks him in the closet. And injects her with more of the drug. Maze in my Mind- Nightmare of her being stuck in a maze. The Judged- Nightmare about her being accused of doing something wrong. (Probably self defense from rape) And is sent to jail. The Mighty mock the weak- Tries to overcome her nightmares. Marrionate- A dream of her sitting in a theater watching herself onstage torturing her husband. Tear me apart- Manages to knock out her husband with the drugs he's been giving her, and she escapes with her son.
Actually, the husband doesn't die, she just drugs him and runs away. And I'm 90% sure that "Pretty in Porcelain" isn't a dream - she most likely has other dreams but in that scenario she regains consciousness while still being paralysed by the ketamine, and what she sees there is what fuels the future nightmares.
Jordan Accinelli Jt confirmed to me that Pretty in Porcelain IS a dream. and you're right about her giving him the drugs. The "snuck up with a knife behind you" threw me off.
THIS SONG IS THE TRUEST CULMINATION OF THIS FUCKING ALBUM!!!!!! THE MORAL QUESTION... THE SONG "your escape" was her being completely morally good... "marionette" was her being completely evil... and this song is the "fight or flight" response and its a true question... a moral question... should she be good and run and take her son... or kill the man that has been raping her everytime she sleeps... and god... this is just perfect... because it would be justified either way... fuck... this song is perfect to a t
Im glad they don't get stuck In a specific sound, creativity is lost and in that and flow consistently pits out good diverse music, that's a rare dying talent
i dont remember exactly what he said, but pretty much it is about a woman who always has nightmares about bad things happening in her life, and everytime she closes her eyes she has another. each song is a nightmare of hers

Why does this remind me of I will Not Bow by BB? 1:12
after seeing this comment, I cannot unhear it
The very beginning reminds me of Youth of A Nation by P.O.D.
Lonely same

I've seen better. Look up Two Faced Charade.
If you haven't seen so much effort like this, search alesana and be amazed
@@MrCuloncio Alesana never caught my attention all that much. However, I'd suggest Slice the Cake for something amazing. Proggy and heavy

Becca Larch they aren't nearly as big as they should be honestly
This became my fav album I was amazed when I heard it for the first time without reading the story because I wanted to get a feel for the music and then I listened again and read the lyrics and the story was so badass and amazing I love how she turned out in the end
With this album you guys have created a genuine masterpiece. Well done to everyone who was involved in the process. Thank you
So she defeats the temptation and doesn't kill him? What a shame, but I get she was meant to do the right thing.
Loved the goddamn story!

@@DBKGAMING71I honestly thought she didn't do that and just ran away with their kid while the husband slept. But it's good that she didn't give in
Wow what an end to this album. The whole thing was amazing from star to finish. Just wow. This is the type of shit that should win award

Hola
This song is in Drop C
good album, love flw, but did not meet the same enjoyment as their previous two albums imo
Im glad they don't get stuck In a specific sound, creativity is lost and in that and flow consistently pits out good diverse music, that's a rare dying talent
Incredible story. I was expecting her to murder him and then kill herself, but this ending was still good though.
LJ this isnt two faced charade
+Joshua mejia Thanks Mr Detective
LJ Yeah. but that'd be bad writing. Having two stories with similar endings. Thats what i meant.
Still. She wouldn't kill herself. She has a son.
Joshua that's exactly what I was thinking
wheres the story?
Caius Skeikx you are kidding right?
he means whole lore. It's hard to describe everything just in lyrics so it would be great to know why he did that to her and etc
i mean the story in a word doc. since jt released the story for two faced charade.
i dont remember exactly what he said, but pretty much it is about a woman who always has nightmares about bad things happening in her life, and everytime she closes her eyes she has another. each song is a nightmare of hers

So her husband was the abuser and she killed him and got away with her son, ah, makes sense
Actually no she didn't kill him. In the song Marionette she dreamed of mutilating and tortuing him, but in this song when she is presented the opportunity to do so she became conflicted. "Do I take my sweet revenge and become the monster that he is, or escape with my son and miss this chance I have?" in the end she decides to inject him with the Ketamine (give him a taste of his own medicine) and escape with her son. Me I think
These songs are for people who are so dead inside
Each Flw song has there own unique Charm about it and thats why Flw is and will always be better then fucking 21pilots
She kill him or no
nope
I discovered this band while they played unfittingly during a mid-core porn scene. Pretty good.
