I have never seen anyone compare a DR650 with any scrambler in the 28 years of its existence. And comparing the 28 yr old DR650 to any modern bike just proves how good it is. I would love to have someone on any scrambler try to follow me on my DR.
Yeah it's a comparison for light dirt and mainly street riding. Plus older guys don't hit the dirt too often so it might be a good transition bike cause it's a lower seat height and less maintenance with not having the carbs on the triumph 400.
@@jamesgaszak3685 Bit your tongue, I'm 56 and ride mostly dirt lol. The older I've gotten the less I enjoy street, traffic, and cars who ignore us. You can put all the fancy modern gadgets you want on a Triumph. The old DR will out last them all. I haven't clean the carb in 10yrs. Every spring I say I will but then it just starts right up and runs perfectly all season.
@@jonwoodworker I wish if I could stick with one motorcycle but now I want the triumph. Haha. Honestly it's mainly for the better gas mileage. I love my Dr650 in all it's ancient glory.
I want more videos on this topic. I'm stuck between getting these two bikes. Sometimes it's scrambler 400x vs drz400sm but I think DR650 vs scram 400x is better for me.
The drz400 is a tall bike. Like 37 inch seat height. If you are over 6 foot then this bike might work. The scrambler 400 seems like a good bike. The ground clearance isn't as good as the dr650 and I'm guessing the 650 will have more freeway power. If you plan to do a lot of off roading the Dr also will be a better choice. The triumph parts if something breaks down will be much more expensive.

Thanks everyone for all the views. I just bought a new microphone coming in the mail soon. Thanks for sticking through the scratchy audio. LOL
Let me guess, the Triumph does not have self-canceling turn signals 😂 Nice looking little bike, can't wait to see one in person.
It's a budget bike so probably not. I'm excited to ride one soon.
