    I agree on all points. They need to walk back their gaffe with McGroarty, and if so, Vlady is press box depth. We need to give our young stars a chance to shine, and Lambert will do amazing at 2C.

      Vladdy won’t be in the press box. There’s many other players we’d scratch first

      @@Koersky Absolutely. Kupari, Anderson-Dolan, AJF to the Moose. Gus to the press box. After Gus there's still at least 3 more guys I would put in the press box before Vlad. Chibrikov can stay in the AHL another year. I don't feel like he's dominant enough that there's an urgent need to bring him up.

    Oddly enough, I agree on all points as well. I wouldn't mind starting the season with the young bucks and see what they can do. Dallas used their young core and had great success.
    As it stands today, we have $7.8M in cap space. Maybe use some of that to lock up Vilardi and Conner, then use the remainder to bring in the 2C player later in the season- if we need it. I trust Chevy has a solid idea of his next moves. Patience has always been one of his strengths and I am sure it'll continue to pay off this season too.

    Calgary traded a 1st rounder just to get rid of Monahans contract because he’s had one full season in the last 5. It’s the best signing the Jets never made, it will age like milk. Toffoli was so slow, hard to watch. I hope they can mend fences with McGroarty. It’s time to get some youth and speed back in the system; that will sell tickets much better then slow worn out veterans. Was hoping for a better backup, Hellebuyck looked rinsed by playoff time, they need a backup that will play 25-30 games.

    Im glad this wasnt just a video to blast chevy for not making any big free agent moves. I think adding the youth will be a good look for us. Hopefully dont end up in situations like Rutger again

    All good point and I agree hope young guys get playing time I was surprised Chevy mentioned Lundmark.
    I still wouldn't mind signing like Dolan few more AHL/depth guys or as 7th dman Hamonic rest seems good wait and see but Chicago,Utah,Nashville all got better. Points won't be as easy to come.

    WTF, second line centre a must. Blew it with Monahan. Our rookies are physically too small to step right in.

    If you look at the team now, and what it was a month before the trade deadline. It's basically the same team minus Dillon for Miller.
    Funny that since the Monahan trade, the Jets winning percentage actually went down.
    Shmitty was being sat more.
    LB was short term and we knew it. Remember when he came here, fans were not excited about a AHL goalie with 28 gp and 7 NHL wins to his name. But look how it turned out.
    As far as Comrie, who knows where he'll be. Interestingly his last stop in Winnipeg, he basically had stats that were close to what LB had.
    It's a wait and see thing now.
    As far as Winning in the regular season season, They keep doing it somehow.
    They have the most wins among Canadian teams since they've come back. At least there's that 😂

    Try the youth at 2c for a few months. If they don't stick, look for trades in November

  • @cmac8981

    Chevy letting these guys walk will pay off in the long run. Monahan has a better chance having his contract hurt CLB so that is good for us that we didn’t get him. We can replace what he brings.
    Time for the youth. Time to allow the team to be competitive but be out of the playoffs. Better draft pick. Development time in the NHL for young players. Not wasting assets on trade deadline additions. All good.
    Create some buzz with the youth and make it somethjng more interesting to watch than the same old boring vets. Big and boring may work for Helle, but it’s not fun for fans to watch.

      For 4 million for 3 years, he's barely worth that now, another 2 years and probably a buyout.
      And we needed to make room for heinola.

    💯mist of this. Why Qualify Stanley? Why not go in on a RHD? Every team needs one. Would have been happy with Roy!

    I don't understand the Anderson-Dolan signing. Kupari and AJF can't be used to restock the Moose?

    • @TheWastedLight
      @TheWastedLight 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      They can, just better to have more bodies then less since then the moose can send the players who are the weakest to the echl team

      Still need him too. Moose lost a lot of their best players in FA

      Reichel left to Germany
      Capobianco Dallas
      Mallott KingsAHL team
      Delia EdmontonAHL
      Viel BostonAHL
      I forget guys name but a forward was traded for future considerations to Ottawa's AHL team.
      Moose still need players they signed 22yr old former Winnipeg Ice dman BenZloty

    This team is not a contender. Wasnt last year regardless of the 110 point season. Anyone with eyes can see they don’t stand a chance without an infusion of high end elite talent. Yes Helle is “elite”. But it doesn’t matter if your best skaters aren’t or are low end elite (Jmo and 55).
    We need to lose! We need to get a top 5 draft pick 2 years in a row and pick a true #1 Center (55 is the 2nd line Center we have been looking for) and a stud RHD. Solid 2nd pairing D to jump up in the lineup when Jmo gets banged up would be great too.
    Time to lose! Everyone in the central is going for it. Let them!

    Do you work for true north? How can you be happy with this roster? The young players aren't ready for a "cup contending" team. I am sure ehlers can't wait to sign lol

    Mcgroarty is obviously salty for not getting a look in the playoffs.

    I dunno...I think chevy goofed up on Rutger. He needs to repair that relationship and sign him. Chevy is signing POOR 4th liners when Rutger can fill that spot. I don't blame Rutger for not wanting to go to the moose. Why they giving a spot to jaret Anderson dolen over a top 10 scoring college 1st round pick?

    It's really sad that nobody wants to stay on our team. I don't blame them either. Winnipeg isn't the most ideal place to live in. It's way too freaking cold & crime is crazy. I'm not from Winnipeg, my wife is, but I've been there like 2 times in the last 8 years & she made me a Winnipeg Jets fan just like I made her a Houston Rockets fan (we live in Houston). I've been very hard on Chevy for wasting our draft picks for Monahan & Toffoli, but I gotta cut him slack & give him credit because of how difficult it is to both bring in and keep people in Winnipeg. By far one of the hardest jobs in sports is to get good players to play for Winnipeg & keep them there. Praying it gets better.

    • @Koersky
      @Koersky 7 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Crime in Winnipeg ain’t got shit on a lot of American city’s. Outside of a few bad neighbourhoods it’s quite safe. Seems like players like it here, but getting them here in the first place is the challenge

    • @cesarcanete3402
      @cesarcanete3402 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@Koersky You're probably right. You from Winnipeg?I mean Houston is pretty crime wise. Thankfully we have open carry in the state. Like I said, I only been there twice in 8 years. IDK how it is now, but I've seen homeless people assault civilians in the downtown area. Players like playing in Winnipeg? I guess there's a couple like Schifele & Namestikov. Maybe there's more. Idk. I mean we had a lot of players sign elsewhere fast.
