The American so called justice system is terrifying. How could they have put a man who was innocent til PROVEN guilty in solitary for 13 months? How could he then go to a court and be judged guilty on NO proven evidence at all? Very very scary and feels like a completely unsafe conviction in which the jury were not given all possibilities for else could have done this. It was a total travesty of justice in my view.

We should all be afraid that a person in Indiana was arrested on questionable evidence, sent to prison, tortured until he confessed and went mad then gets convicted by twelve fellow Hoosiers. This whole case is so sad and disturbing on all sides and Indiana should be ashamed they didn't serve those precious girls.

Criminals typically: lie, deny, deflect, like a narcissist/psychopath does, automatically. So when Richard Allen told police, first interview, that he was there between 12.00 and 1:30 p.m. he’s putting himself outside of the girls’ time frame. Then on the second interview he says that he was there between 1:30 and 3:30 because of needing to deal with the camera filming his vehicle and eye witnesses seeing him. He tells them that he was wearing what bridge guy was wearing but that he is not the image on the girls’ cell phone. He tells them that he was sitting on the bridge, looking at fish, so he puts himself there, in the time frame that the girls would be there, but he denies seeing the girls or the bridge guy. That, alone, criminal lying, is compelling evidence. That’s how people were caught, back in the day, before forensic evidence.

    • @-43645
      @-43645 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

That’s really well said. I don’t know why these people that think he’s innocent not see that ? I have from the start. Most compelling was his wife said right in front of law enforcement “ you said you were on the trail that day and you said you weren’t on the bridge ?” I’m surprised his wife is still acting like he didn’t do it ? I think when people see the gun had to be fired to get the markings , then they think “ not guilty !” Or they think there HAS to be DNA ? Or they think there HAD to be more people involved ? If someone had a gun pointed at those girls they would have been terrified. Maybe even faint ! He probably racked his gun to scare them (losing a bullet ) ? That’s a chilling sound ! Neither one of them wanted to get killed or do something that could get the other one killed. I would freeze if someone pointed a gun at me. I would move very slow and cautious hoping to live or eventually be able to run. Anyway , very well said.

As someone who studied criminology and psychological studies I watched a huge amount of coverage on this case (from when it happened until now) and this was the best, non-biased coverage that there was so well done to your team! I’m from the UK and I do find this justice system insane as I would actually have bet my house on it being a not guilty as there was so much reasonable doubt so I am in shock to say the least. That being said, there are many innocent people in the prison system or on death row. I firmly believe there was more than one person involved. Is it possible Richard Allen was one of them? Yes I believe it’s possible but I also believe there was too much reasonable doubt for a conviction. My gut feeling is that it wasn’t him though. I feel the true killers are currently laughing and celebrating. Here’s hoping they don’t take this as a green light to do the same again.

I'd seriously hoped for a hung jury here and a fairer, more transparent, retrial b4 a different Judge (And w cameras in court). I also want to see the FULL video Libby took! Why only the 3 second loop?? I blieve it's 30+ seconds long!?
You can't undo the pre-trial treatment. That should never have happened - and this is why! How do you trust confessions that only came after that?? I don't understand how a she'll casing was on scene when the girls were not shot. I'm don't understand how they can say it's from his gun if they couldn't rule it out of being from their first suspects gun at that time!??
Nor do I know how an unfired round can be matched to any gun!? The van was talked about online long b4 RA brought it up, so there was, in fact, nothing in his 'confessions' that we all didn't know (if you were following closely). NO DNA at all. On him. On them. And two VERY diff eyewitness descriptions: age/hair/height/build etc.
I just don't like this - and, honestly, would not have been 'happy' w either verdict. Hence why I was so hoping the jury would NOT come to a unanimous decision either way. This needed much more than the prosecution had. Maybe a 'redo' could've made a diff. I dunno - but this isn't how the system is supposed to work!

PEACE? Goodness gracious you country folks are naive. They're not going to have peace any time soon.
Even if this case will be overturned on the very first appeal (which it will) - had the investigation & trial been lawful and thorough, you'd have a guilty man sentenced to death. Therefore, the families would be dragged into court, year after year, for the next 30 years. All their time consumed with attending hearings regarding killing someone for killing their daughters.
Death Penalty means the victim's families never get to move on, are never allowed the opportunity to heal, never allowed chancenity to rebuild, and their lives are consumed with thinking about thge man who killed thier children.
You, people, celebrate winning your witch trial when it ends, but 2 girls are dead, all these lives have been changed forever. And you stop paying attention and get to move on with your own life.
I got bad news for all of you who never went to college. This verdict will be overturned because law enforcement, the court and DA couldn't convict Riochard Allen without rigging the trial. All that does is victimize the families even more - and people like you mnove onto the next witch hunt.

Hopeful an appeal occurs so that RA gets a fair trial away from Delphi LE and Gull. I’m a Hoosier, btw…
The case was mishandled I terms of not testing the hair samples in the girls’ hands, not interviewing Libby’s mom, not properly investigating (and allowing for the defense to present these findings) EF, BH, Ron Logan, Keagan K., and SE. The timing of crime with phone data, the erratic phone data (pinging at 4a), Abby’s clean hands, the open area of the crime scene (not remote), the staged appearance of the girls vs covered in leaves, etc. There is definitely grounds for reasonable doubt.
Humbly accertion: this case needs taken further away from Delphi with additional Defense assistance (eg Andrea Burkhart). If guilty, he most likely did not act alone.
