    I am using Xpulse 200 for a month or two. Its suspension is awesome for broken roads and unpawed paths which is typical of rural and semi urban areas of India. It's average is around 35 kmpl and casual mix rides of city and highway. I am in an area affected by flood in bihar and this vehicle was the one able to continue ride in 1.5 foot high water. Mud, water, loose sand you name it and it can just manage everything. Power feels less on highway. 200 kms in 4 hours on average state highway with stops of 10 mins.

    India has only 4 adventure motorcycles under 500 cc.
    1)Royal Enfield Himalayan
    2)BMW GS 310
    3)Kawasaki Versys x 300
    4)Xpluse 200
    And if you're buying an adventure bike under 500 cc, you're probably a beginner. Better spend a lakh and get the Xpluse to learn offroading until you can move to a bigger ADV. Like the Versys 650 , Tiger 800, GS 850 and more...

      @@GirishNohwar xpulse and comfortable to ride? are you joking? the seat is worst thing in this bike. Seems like they ignored it. Rent a xpulse and ride for 1-2 hours and you will be begging to get off from that awful seat.
      But rest of the bike is very good for the price. Value for money. Only if engine was a bit more powerful with 10k price hike plus awesome seat, then it would be a no brainer.

    • @GirishNohwar
      @GirishNohwar 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@Cla55icG00se I said nothing about the seat, but the riding posture. It is definitely better since it is more upright than all the pulsars, gixxers and apche etc. And for riding in city and for usual commutes even that seat wouldn't hurt anybody.

    It's a must buy for practical reasons. The ride will impress everyone who wants a real plush ride. Wide handle bars make you loose confidence in narrow alleyways. Seating is high and i just manage to put both my foot comfortably on ground. I am 5'10". But reversing is bit combersome. Turning radius is larger than usual small bikes.
    Bike will need frequent washes and robby tires will spray mud all over your bike, shoes and pants.

    That was a nice surprise to see Ashish Raorane in this video.
    This discipline in motorcycling is something i just cant do. So i will leave it to experts to express their opinion based on their experience. I remember that the friends who had Impulse swore by its touring capabilities. But they were utterly disappointed to see Xpulse. Most of em have upgraded to Himalayan as they said it was far better in every aspect.

    • @powerdriftofficial
      @powerdriftofficial  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Himalayan is better agreed, yes, however, we mustn't forget the fact that it costs twice as much as the Xpulse.
      Also, like you have mentioned, the Himalayan is an upgrade for someone who has already ventured offroad.
      The Xpulse can be a good bike for someone who's testing the waters.

    Just be aware that puncture will suck on this bike. If you live in a place with sharp nails occurring frequently on road, then be prepared for puncture. You have to remove the wheels to get puncture repaired and it's hectic without center stand. Bought rear swing arm stand for roughly ₹3000 (before lifting your bike on the stand you need to remove saree garud) but you can order xpulse 200t center main stand at roughly ₹600 which I did a few days ago. Also stock 120/80-18 and 90/90-21 tubes because they are rarer than a diamond. Rear tube is available at ₹450 at MRF but I still don't have front tubes. If going on long trips do keep spanner/ wrench of sizes 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 15mm, 18mm,19mm, 20mm and 22mm (they come in pair so 4 wrench in total) to open any wheel and nut bolt required and then your are truly unstoppable.

    There are lot of areas of improvement.....
    1)There is no cooling system,neither liquid cooling nor oil cooling.Hence,long distances are harsh on engine.No off-roader would take a bike to off road in a truck,we need to travel more than 200 km to find an off-road,a cooling system is must for this.
    2)There is no 6th gear
    3)Struggling a lot even at normal speeds of 90+ km/hr,4 valves can be an economic alternative to the issue.
    4)A little more power is a must,learn from Bajaj NS200.
    5)Tubeless spoke wheels are required

Do let me know when you guyz want to visit lucknow for shoots. Had a visit from "Overdrive" guys last month. Cheers

    I rode the Xpulse 200 from Manali to Malana to Kasol and back to Manali, it's a great bike but gets uncomfortable after some time. The bike was a delight to ride on bad roads where other vehicles struggled, I zoomed past them. Had to climb using only the first gear.

    Hello Varun
    I drove this bike before riding this 200T model what I observed was a hunting sound from the engine, at initial stage,but when I drove it to some few km rest every thing was good, it's city ride is more comfortable,as compared with other bikes in narrow lanes.

    • @sriramranganathan1569
      @sriramranganathan1569 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Citizen Kolar I don't know about how good a job Hero's done, but I agree that most people complaining about the bike are usually people who don't know how to use the existing capabilities well.
      I mean, if the guy in the video atleast showed more skillful riding, I could have maybe bought his point about needing more power. But the whole vid is just some tame stuff anyone could have done on even a 100cc Splendor. I mean, he's standing up to ride a level looking gravel road. And he says it's a task to get the bike airborne. This guy is not special though. The general stock of auto reviewers value stylish appearance and subjective trash to cover up their shortcomings they don't even realize, rather than substance and objective reporting.

    Should I buy a RE 350 ES at 1.7k or Xpulse. At 1.35 or nearly 1.4k rs.. my basic need is take delivery and head out around India for two to months on the road.. And later use it for everyday use.
    RE 350 has good presence perhaps the safer option with lower seat height. Xpulse is great for a single rider with light luggage great ground clearance, good seat height for anyone above 5.8" light nimble and a little low pulling power and adequate top speed.. 80-90 is safe enough with a ABS

    Bajaj recently with partnership with my country brings in their RS n NS along with Dominar. It became an instant hit and dominate the market. As an owner of a 6 yrs old Kawasaki z250, none of those bikes impress me.
    But if... Somehow... This xpulse200 came in... I might actually trade in my z250 to get this bad boy.
    Over the years of riding, I realise I had more fun in the little KLX150 exploring the trial rather than speed on the tarmac.
    Hope they would bring in Hero XPULSE...

      We'd suggest the FI variant, Tanmay. It's hassle-free.
      You'd have to get the carb tuned periodically, and if it's not tuned right, you can be in trouble.
