I have a 2000 Chrysler Cirrus LXI and it has low fuel pressure. I replaced the fuel filter. And I can hear the fuel pump engaging when I cut the key on. There is no testing port up front on the engine on the fuel rail. I removed the fuel line that goes in to the intake/block and a little fuel comes out when I turn the key. Car cranks weak but no start. Timing marks look good on the belt. No codes come up when I scan the car. An oil light is on and wont go away, but the car has oil. I originallly had a loose oil filter and lost oil. Oil got all over my oil pressure sensor. I replaced it. Car still wont crank over. New battery, new starter, and new pcm. Any ideas or suggestions on what to check now? Can a fuel pump make noise when you cut it on and still be bad?
There isn't one. I had to remove the fuel line from the fuel injection rail, and the main fuel line. I clampped two pieces of hoses to the feul pressure gage and bridge it where the original fuel line that was removed and tied it in.
I tested my fuel pump and I connected the gauge straight to the line before the injectors, the line came straight from the fuel pump and when I did the test it was 54psi and within 30 minutes it went all the way down to 35psi, does that mean the fuel pump is bad since it doesn’t hold pressure? The engine was off only the key was on.
Nice video, as it is. If you add some text graphics saying what you're looking for it tells the audience without turning you into a teacher. The main problem reading fuel pressure on the NS (2001-2007) vans is Chrysler got rid of the fuel pressure gauge port that was on the previous mini-vans. The interesting part was you got the gauge into the fuel line, without "Special Tool #8974" but you didn't show that part of your story. A polarising (aka sunlight) filter on the camera can remove the reflected sky that make the gauge difficult to read.
Thanks for your advise, on camra glare. I was actually concidering being a genral automotive teacher, its funny you said that . Lol i just found out my dad has a G.I. bill so I may go to college. I feel very greatful for the opportunity.
Fuel pressure regulator probably.
If I add a check valve, and the fuel level drops back down to the fuel tank, then will the fuel line put air in the empty space?
The 2 main options are pump or injectors.........which one was leaking?

Thank you!
Could you help me to point where is that damn fuel pressure service port located please

@@SuperDjnrg I find it, it’s located right by fuel rail where it connects to other line there is one

Yes if the feul pressure dropped that much the one way valve is probably bad or you have a stuck open injector. It should only drop 3 psi
@@SuperDjnrg yes sir but I did connectit before injectors
@@SuperDjnrg thank you sir
Thank you my man!

Hello how you connected?
I removed the original hose that connected it to the car body to the fuel rail then I teed in the fuel pressure gauge in place of that hose.
@@SuperDjnrg what about the other side? How do you connect it to the line?
@@TheGeno2001h I just squeezed the rubber hose over the metal line.
What gauge brand is that
I think it's Pittsburgh a harbor freight brand.
@@SuperDjnrg i think thats what i got. Did u buy the hose clamps and hoses?
Yes. I usually have extra hoses and clamps on hand, but the T came with the gage.
@@SuperDjnrg u remeber what size hose that is. Im about.to do exact samething . Thanks alot man
I think it was a standard fuel line 1/4"
