I was there, it was a great game. The Sharks brought a v good squad which included several SA internationals. Cardiff, considering their resources, did well and fought bravely, but couldn't compete at the end.
Great game from both sides, Sharks did not have a full strength side, if you look at the injury list we have more than 15 players on the injured list, some serious long term injuries and also some of our Springbok players such as regular captain Siya Kolisi on compulsory rest. We had a lot of youngsters in the team, some of them were still playing school rugby couple of years ago but take nothing away from Cardiff team, they also appeared to have some youngsters who played well.
Cardiff may have themself a "lekker back" of their own in this Bowen kid, has the pace of a young Cheslin. Look forward to seeing him in red against the Springboks 💪
He's the type of player that we really need: Dangerous, confident and capable of individual brilliance. He's part of the U20 six nations squad this year and I really hope he gets called up to the senior team in the next few years!

I have watched hundreds of our games and heard them argue 50/50 calls for the opposing teams praise opposing players skills and achievements acknowledge good plays from opposing teams. These okes in the UK, you can tell their bias literally from their tone of voice when talking about the SA players condescending and filled with disdain. SA players get blown up by the ref and they'll instantly go "penalty or card" within seconds. European players get calls against them and it's "seems a bit harsh, there was nothing in that for me" straight trash!
