In a empty shaker container I'll put all my onion,garlic paprika salt pepper my seasonings together and just shake it on my meat.Its much easier that way.

Just an idea for you keep a box or 2 of shelf stable milk on your shelf just in case you run out in the middle of a recipe. I always keep a couple and it has saved me plenty of times. Your dinner looks amazing

Happy Thanksgiving❤❤ As a southerners, i would boil my ham hocks until almost tender add the washed greens, add onions salt and pepper and let them cook until tender. We have never added chicken stock because it can be salty and the ham hocks are salty all by themselves. You know everyone cooks differently and to their own tastes. You always work very hard in your home and it is coming together beautifully. ❤❤

I do this. It’s a single serve crockpot. Luckily I found one in a thrift shop for a few dollars. It works great and the water doesn’t evaporate as easily.
Collards are a lot of work but o so delicious. My Mom is deceased.so there,'s no one who can cook them. So we will be having canned whic is better than none.
I just thought of something you can put those trees in an old crate rustic looking old looking great or you can probably get Tim to build you one with some scrap wood

I totally love those trees, but they need a base you don’t go antique shopping. I could see them being in a crock I could actually or like a rusty tub like a rusty bucket or something as a matter of fact at Walmart they had the tree sleeves in Wood I thought that was beautiful. I didn’t get it cause I have a few things already even my little tree that I put in the kitchen. I put it in a antique fire king green coffee, cup 🌲

It's deer season here in WV this week so the hunters will hunt and come out for the dinner around 1 and head back to the woods till close dark. They usually eat again and all the desserts. I like to hunt too. I went out yesterday afternoon for a while. We like deer meat. I pressure can it plus do jerky. If everyone has good luck,we like to grind it with bacon and make deer burger. It makes good chili soup as well. Your collard greens looked so good. I always wonder what you will be cooking next. I can't wait to try that recipe of cranberry chicken. ❤Bonnie
