Hey rich great video I have been hear at Walmart for about 4 half years and I just got in the associate to driver program we just got finished our first week of class the program has been great to me I never been in a truck before and the training here is great I just got my permit for my cdl and I’m loving this program they treat us great here in Delaware no complaints I been watching ur videos and they have been helpful. I just did my first ever off-set backing last week and its been fun
Good to hear! I have Ben driving 10 years, 3 for Walmart. I mean this is a sincere way. Cherish this! You are so lucky to land this opportunity with Walmart. Many driver had to but in years of time to get a chance at Wal-Mart! This job was life changing for me. I went from broke paycheck to paycheck and unable to afford medical procedures to having a weightloss surgery, able to take my family on vacations, a solid 401k and retirement plan, good insurance, good hometime and a quality of life I never had at any other job. That includes working as a teamsters out of Chicago! Make the best of this situation! Congratulations!

Do you think if you have been a dedicated driver for Walmart for years and you are used to setting up etd’s and know how to do grocery and dc runs to stores can come in and do well from the gate, or is it a walmart way and a whole different way of doing things when u say u have to get used to things and then be able to go hard once they get it down.
It takes a few weeks to a few months. The guys I mentored started at 240 a day. Once they were done with me (10 days) they were at 360 a day avg. After 2 months they were just over 400 a day.
I am going on my 3rd week of the program starting on Monday, its so good. We are getting cleared to drive on the road with our permits next week, I was a yard driver for 6 years so best of luck to you.
I just applied to the associate to driver program they just reopened it last week . if you want to apply many cities across the state are taking application until friday . must be within 50 miles of hub and will be working in a 250 mile radius of hub. must be a 1 year or plus associate at time of application . classes start in july annd will go until november
I'm out of Cleburne, TX and I'm going to onboarding on the 22nd for a city driver here. From my understanding we only get hourly pay I dont think we get activity also so that gross might be right.
@@WalmartRich No sir. Thats what my recruiter told me. I mean I can get a 2nd opinion but during my phone interview thats what I was told. I was wondering why we would only get hourly also
Does the Sam's Club distribution center count for the associate to driver program for Walmart employees? Because the only Walmart DC in my state is 160 miles away and the Sam's DC is 50 miles away?
You would have to ask your mgr or HR. There is a sams DC in Indy that I think would be considered. They also might make an exception on the limoges or give you time to relocate?
@@WalmartRich Yeah I can try asking. Sounds like I’d have to relocate or get years of driving experience outside of the company. Unless they build a new DC here, but I have no idea if/when that will be.

The hiring recruiters at Walmart here in New York do not know what’s going on. I went through first advantage. They lost my paperwork twice. You have no idea how hard it is here in New York to get hired on with Walmart then they’ll tell you straight out. Sorry we don’t need you, so I don’t know what makes you think you’re so great but not here in New York. I have a good day.
I have never had anyone tell me anything like this. I don't think I'm great. You also could have emailed me this and we could have discussed it. Instead you decided to blast me and the company on my video in a public forum. Thanks for the info
I didn’t blast you directly it just gets frustrating that after a month of losing the paperwork first advantage telling me one thing, there, investigation company, and then Walmart recruiters. Tell you a whole different other story up here in New York. Things must be very different than when you applied and I apologize if you think I blasted you about it it wasn’t intended that it’s just a person after a whole time of waiting he just got frustrated.
They gonna make all drivers local since they have more drivers now gonna cut pay
No. They won't cut psy and most drivers are not local. They are looking for 3000 more drivers.

Dose Walmart have a pet policy or rider policy
Rider is wide open. You can even take a store associate with you. Pets is a 0 pet policy.

I'm a yard driver at Sam's and I was accepted for the 12 weeks program, starting in 2 more weeks in Delaware 🙂
