Hey Guys, thanks for checking out this video! This was our first AoS 4 recording and we are all still very much in the learning phase. As you may notice, we got some stuff wrong during the game and caught it after the fact. Practice makes perfect and we will continue to perfect our gameplay. Enjoy the match!
Looks great with the Birds Eye view and highlights on key events as you go. I’ve just joined Age of Sigmar with a Lumineth army so I’m keen to see more like this!
Great stuff guys. Really nice format. As a newer player I'd like to see more of a breakdown post match, like OK SC probably lost it in the first turn, but in detail with a replay, ideally graphics showing how you would've played it differently. Things you would have done differently listed in bullet points. Any list adjustments you would make based on this feedback. Generally I'm less interested in watching the battle play out and a lot more interested in what you have to say as experienced players about how it worked out and why.
Love the pacing of the game, although I would like to see a bit more of what you guys are thinking, especially during the movement phase. And personal I would love to see some shots more from the side zoomed in on the amazing paint jobs ❤
SCE - You can still run the Incantor wizard for another year. LRL - When you pick a manifestation lore, you get every spell from that lore. The purple sun is from the Morbid Conjurcation, as well as the malevolent maelstrom, soulsnare shackles, and suffocating gravetide, so you have many more tools to use!
Lord-imperatant move from deepstrike can be before you roll for the impact hits from annihilators as they both happen in the movement phase you can order them how you want.
Def! But I wouldn’t have hit much else and if I did that, he could’ve made my charge harder without me being able to move to try and mitigate the lost inches a bit!
Nice battle. Like the setup! Hope to see more. Remark: Why only 1 manifestation? When you choose a particular lore you bring all the manifestations, not just 1
Good lists, good play, good editing, good overlay, I liked it. Perhaps an improvement would be to give a summary of the board state every couple of turns? It's a bit hard to tell what everything is from this camera angle sometimes.
Cheers, that looks like a minor editing mistake. The list was correct with the number of units and the Honour Guard was correctly picked in Sevireth's regiment. I've changed the list last minute resulting in (accidentally) not having a hero to put a trait/artefact on so we left those out. In hindsight I would 100% run that Sevireth regiment again but I would change the rest up to include a small wizard capable of carrying a trait/artefact.
Great report - sadly looks like Annihilators aren't a competitive option anymore - at least not the 7" grandhammer style of 3e - with the imperatant and all the hoops you have to jump through - plus redeploy being such a hard counter to the charge...just gets too unrealiable imo
Feels like Stormcast took a major hit this edition. Solid rules but so overcosted especially when less elite armies hit just as hard with twice or more models.
I don't think SCE are over priced and I think they still have some really strong castle capacity, but these Lord-Impiritant / Scion of the Storm combos need to stop. People need to screen with Vindictors, get board presence from very start, and drop Annihiolators with meteoric hammers for the blazing impact but only charge them the following turn after the enemy has moved up or the annihilators have moved forward (screen properly with gryphhounds and vindictors though!). Use regular annihilators w/ shield to screen. If people want to risk these silly Annihiolator tactics, run Chronomantic Cogs and Gavriel Surheart (until he phases out). Even then, its a bad idea and your better off running Protectors and a foot hero.
Love the format, shot precise. Also cool with channel showcasing competitive games. If you only take the knight arcanum as a caster, I feel like the stormcast lore is solid. As you practically get a lvl2 for 120 pts. What was your idea with the manifestation choice?
So my idea was using Geminids to stop redeploy and covering fire that counters my deepstrike. But with the Knight being too far from them, it didn’t work out.
Never make a list that relies so heavily on whether or not scion of the storms charges go off. Ever. The lack of board presence on Battle Round 1 was also a huge blunder...SCE player lost this game in the deployment phase. Better luck next time!

Really great Batrep, nice to actually see some high-level play on youtube for once. Keep it up guys looking forward to the next one!

Very well edited, thanks for the concise battle report!
Glad to find another channel that has smaller and more concise battle reports compared to the 2 hr ones you see more of. Subbing to this one for sure!

Super clean format, can't wait for more!
Loved the video. Good easy to follow format
Great report

I agree with everything you said👌🏻👏🏻
Great stuff guys!! Keep up the good work 💪
Superb, as always ❤️
Great, video. What is the playlist? Id love to study to that.
In this battleplan, the objective is burned at the END of the underdog's turn not at the start
LRL list early on looks wrong - General's regiment is the Sevireth one, and Windchargers should be 340.
That's right. Lyrior is not a Warmaster, and Sevireth IS.

@@LexDec89 maybe try not rolling a 1 on windchargers redeploy next time🤣

Look at this awesome „best dressed“Jersey ;)

mmm only grandhammers and dracoths are like that really.

SCE has way more than 2 wizards. Sacrosanct chamber is still legal for a year.
Couldn't Ionus have charged the shackles in round 2 (with the counter charge)?
those objective markers. making me hot
amazing dice used as well
I thought you were a good bloke Tom, then you played stormcast
Forgive me 🥺
