I played baseball for 20 years and when my hamstring wasn't able to carry me anymore I suffered mental anguish for almost 10 years because I couldn't play the game I loved so much anymore .
Shohei Ohtani changed everything for me he made me want to watch baseball again it is truly a sad day when your playing days end in this great game .He is a one of a kind he has a humble attitude and the way he plays the game is a breath of fresh air to the sport and what a fantastic role model for every kid watching baseball today .
I truly believe we may actually be watching the greatest baseball player of our time and maybe even in the history of Baseball .

In 1994, I was in the US and told my friends I played baseball and Americans and South Americans all asked with laughing “Japanese can play baseball?” But now in 2024, Shohei has been showing Japanese can play baseball and make history in MLB. Nothing against Othani. Great night. Deserves all the respect for creating the 50/50 club, but the Marlins basically handed it to him. You never just concede like that. Either walk him or tell your pitchers to give him nothing to hit. At least that way, they keep their professional pride.

They saved their pitchers and put a positional player (non-pitcher) to finish the game. Those guys suck at pitching. You can't really call it giving him a free HR when that's the best a non pitcher can do on the mound.
You clearly know nothing about baseball; that's the best pitcher in the National League. The movement on that pitch was incredible, and Ohtani still crushed it.
