Nice video, btw the middle lift at the loch street car park has now been fixed as of last Saturday (20th July) unless it’s broken again which is could well be as about 3 months through the downtime it was back up running for a couple of days before breaking down again. If the passenger lifts are modded or replaced it definitely won’t be hydroware as there traction, im surprised they haven’t actually developed a traction version of hydroware yet. The loch street lifts definitely need of something being done with them as they aren’t in the best of shape however the left one is definitely the best of a bad bunch there.
classic my luck that it gets fixed a week after i briefly return for a filming visit planned elsewhere in aberdeen 😂good to hear its fixed tho. If they do include the passenger lifts in the modernisation program I wonder if it'll be something like gen2 life given its otis doing the hydroware on the goods lifts. Btw is Harriett Street right hand lift fixed too? was down when i was there July 12th to 14th, still switched on at Upper Mall which I could tell thanks to one of the out of order signs being rather close to falling off the indicator lol
@@ZZ9ProductionsOFFICIAL I was thinking that they could go for gen2 life’s for the passenger lifts if they decide to replace them (any work to the loch street lifts I think is likely to be a full replacement considering they are still running on their original 1980s motors and the condition they are in). When it comes to the Harriet street lifts I don’t know what they do as they are running on 2008 Schindler motors, my hinch is that loch street lifts will be replaced and the Harriet street will remain as they are. And yes, the right Harriet street lift was working again when I was in on that day so it couldn’t have been out of service for too long.
if those motors are original it makes me wonder even more about their originality specifically, when I saw the manufacturer name on them the first thing that came to my head was I wonder if these are replaced motors from some point possibly or possibly not connected to the Schindler mod. Although they do look original being mostly in black but that could easily not be an indicator of originality too. (Ziehl-Abegg motors if you're wondering)

It’s making me think now those motors may have came after the Schindler mod as I would have thought if they were from the Schindler mod, they would have used Schindler motors and did Ziehl-Abegg even make motors before they were modded in 2008? I guess we’ll probably never find out.
