This was so perfect. I think the parts were divided perfectly and I could totally picture how this scene would plan out in the movie. Mirabel’s moment would stay the same. But perhaps seeing Antonio with a perfect gift that truly represented him reminded Camilo that the gift as “special as him” was to be other people. I think it’s very possible he felt as though he isn’t good enough as he is and this song could really capture that. I picture he runs from the ceremony because it’s too much for him to bear. He’s in his room, which I think would be like a maze of mirrors, trying to convince himself he’s fine and that he should be happy for his brother. But then he just breaks and realizes he can’t take not knowing who he is anymore. So then obviously he sings this. And if it was part of the movie, which is very visual especially during the songs, we could see him going throughout his room, desperately shapeshifting, trying to find a form that fits him. Anyway, I probably overthought this but it makes sense to me.

I can totally plan it out in my brain: Everyone but Mirabel gathers around for a picture, Mirabel starts singing the song and Camilo unfreezes joins in, seeing Mirabel sad and Camilo realizes his gift isn't as great as everyone elses. Camilo and Mirabel end up singing the song togeather, it's just PERFECT!
I've seen another version of it but this is honestly edited better, it sounds like it really was in the movie, but I first had the feeling that in that video the part were divided better, but after listened to this a few times I've decided that I prefer this better. I've seen the guy that sang ''Camilo''s part and he sounds so good that I'm just pretending it's the character voice lol. Don't get me wrong, Mira's voice is amazing as well, it holds a lot of emotion. This is now in my comfort playlist.

Part of me really wishes this had been a part of the actual movie. Cause when you look at it from the perspective that Camillo's "perfect gift" was to always been someone other than himself, I feel like that could've been a really good B-plot for the film alongside Mirabelle's desire to be special like the rest of them. So, you'd have Mirabelle struggling to be enough and Camillo struggling to figure out if he IS enough. And if you put in Dolores' own struggle of being burdened with a "gift" that was more of a curse, there are so many ways to look at the film that the directors didn't explicitly address or even gloss over. Great duet. 👍

Since I first watched the movie, I’ve been saying that (although it’s still fantastic) that a scene with a heart-to-heart between Mirabel and Camilo would have made it so much better. I wish he got some more screen time, and the same goes for pretty much all of Pepa’s side of the family.

He's very much a clown friend who tries to cheer you up when he sees you feeling down and depressed. I imagine him singing things like "I believe in you" and "You've always been special to me, little cousin!" Anyway, very good music and I hope you like my idea!

The cover guy riffs too much, which makes it feel like a show piece rather than Camilo's actual emotions. Now, onto the good: the distribution of the harmonies is better than the inspiration, I think. You did a very good job editing it, and the sound levels make it more evident that the two characters are singing in the same movie. It'd be interesting to see what people do with other characters, in the future.
In an alternate universe, Mirabel found her spark by encouraging Camilo. Who, had shape shifted into Mirabel to help Antonio to his door. Camilo is a great brother because Mirabel is a great teacher.
