I need a director's cut so badly! All the deleted scenes in the movie not just as featurettes. I can't believe they cut the dance scene - it's essential to the story and it's lovely to see more of the chemistry between Lily and Sam 😊
@Lily of Chastity No shit. If the movie had been a half an hour longer, then maybe it could have avoided a lot of the criticism which centered on the weird editing, which seemed to leave out a good chunk of the story and character arcs 😐
Most of these shouldn't have been omitted, since they are mentioned in the movie but never actually shown. Darcy asks Elisabeth to dance but we never get to see them, and Elisabeth talks about planning a trip to the north but that gets abandoned as well.
Why on EARTH would they cut the Netherfield Dance and Georgiana scenes...those...those are CRUCIAL scenes to their character developments and entanglements...????
It would've been better if they'd retained most of these, and cut some scenes that were actually in the film! Or at least kept these, even if they didn't cut others.

I second that. I like the film but it's obvious it attempted to shove two different storylines (the PPZ novel merely had the whole zombie apocalypse as a setting, the main plot was PP) into a movie with way too short a runtime for it to be able to accommodate both. I don't think it was a bad thing the filmmakers wanted to bring the zombies in the foreground too, but they definitely needed more time to develop both storylines and in that regard a mini series would probably have done wonders.
